I mean seriously. How terrible.
All it had was
•New enemy mechanics
•New area to play in
•Multiple enemy spawns per strike
•Different dialogue each time you play
•New boss mechanics
•Enemy traps for guardians
•Showed swords in action
•Shows in depth subclass builds
•Showed artifacts
•Showed new weapons
•Two bosses
•No bullet sponge bosses
•Nowhere super safe to stand and cheese
•Showed scanning items
•Vanguard and ghost giving dialogue and lore while in the strike
•New rewards specific to each strike
And even though all we do on these forums is complain about bullet sponge bosses, and bitch that strikes take too long, we’re going to also whine that this strike was TOO SHORT AND DIDN’T HAVE BULLET SPONGE BOSSES.
You people seriously befuddle me.
So you’d rather have a boss with predictable movement and spawns?
You’d rather they be bullet sponges?
You’d rather they take an hour?
Just in case you didn’t watch the stream, let me explain the boss fight.
A huge ultra red centurion comes charging like a bull out of a huge door because your ghost is trying to defuse their bomb. But he isn’t a centurion. He’s charging at you with a jetpack and sword, stomping and slamming the ground around you, dealing great damage. Once you start damaging him, he summons reinforcements and once you get him to about 60% health, he runs away into a door. You can still damage him while he’s running.
Once you clear adds, a huge blue cabal comes out of the door with a jetpack and mortar strapped to his back. He fires mortar rounds at you, that really hurt. They do have hang time, being mortar shells, and you can tell where they will land by blue circles on the ground. You have seconds to move away. He fires at a fast fire rate and summons more adds to kill you.
Once he gets to 60%, he too runs away while you clear adds. Once they are dead, both he and his red brother come charging. This time, mortar guy has a bubble shield and increased damage. Red sword guy leaves sunspots where he slams which damage you while inside. Once one dies, the other takes the gear he had. So he can fire mortar shells and slash you with his sword at the same time. He also regains some health when his brother dies.
If you can kill him, the strike ends.
So my question is;
You people got what you wanted. WHAT DO YOU WANT???
Edit: All arguments in here are blind hate. If anything has a cabal helmet, to you people, it's a reskin. In so, I'm done replying to people. They were 4 levels above. That's why it was easy and short. (I posted that early on when I read all of them at 200 replies when they were nothing but "RESKIN this and that")

The way I see it happens: one vocal minority will advocate for a change, and when it gets implimented a counter vocal minority will start complaining about how they didn't want the change. Everyone else just sits there wondering "Wtf, can't this community make up its mind?" The answer is no. For the same reason why countries aren't of one mind and opinion. Bungie has to be very careful to implimented things that the majority wants, but in ways that certain minorities won't hate to the point of quitting or smashing the forums with their complaints. I'm sure that Bungie does its best to make the decisions that will retain the most players, and/or acquire the most new ones. But unlike countries where you generally have to suck it up if something passes that you don't like, Bungie has it hard because players can leave at any time. I'm sure they've been having a particularly rough year getting accustomed to MMO-type aspects and retaining large player populations on the same ever-changing game-- which I would guess is way out of their Halo comfort zone.

First the devs have no clear definition or plan for the game and are flying by the seat of their pants. Second they seem to truly listen to the community but don't realize the community is lead by a bunch of 5 year old morons. Then bungie is constantly caught double talking and making their own terrible decisions. Let's look at both sides shall we. Bungie: makes you re-level all exotic weapons in first expansion and charge everyone a ton of glimmer. Next expansion they say we are sorry we will respect your time and effort and make it easier. Next expansion they make you re-level them all over again. Community: People ask for re-forging all weapons. They give it to us. Now everyone says no weapons are unique and re-forging sucks. Bungie: They put special ammo in the new HoW crates but it makes us run out of inventory space. In the same update they take away the ammo but also let ammo stack to 99. We only needed one or they other not both. Community: We want harder missions and stuff that takes longer to do. We get it then people say it's too hard and takes to long and shy away from all of the games hardest content. Bungie: They make a vendor that sells exotic weapons/armor and makes exotic bounties. They make the best weapon in the game available for a small fee and put some of the worst exotics in the bounty slots. Also make no exotic armor bounties. Community/Bungie: this weapon is too good this weapon sucks. Bungie tweaks weapons to an insane level and totally skews statistics in the opposite direction. Community always flocks to the FOTM (flavor of the month) meaning whatever is the most powerful people will use in pvp mostly but also pve. Suros, fusion rifles, shotguns, rockets, hand canons..... Instead of making smart adjustments to weapons in separate activities like they did with shotguns, they totally destroy the weapon in all activities. Oh and let's not forget they want to nerf shotguns in pve again which no one wants or asked for. Bungie: They make interesting and unique weapons ONCE then can't recreate the magic so their solution is to nerf everything into the ground. Icebreaker, black hammer, Gjallarhorn, hawkmoon..... the list goes on. Instead of making more really cool weapons like these that people could switch to they just destroy the weapons. Bungie (once more): We want you to grow with your weapons and armor and have a signify attachment/story that you build with them. They give us etheric light/exotic shards. Next expansion they take it away but create infusion which is just like etheric light but they leave the other weapons behind. Honestly any and every weapon could move forward forever but if they want to limit it exotics should never be in that bunch. If any other case could be made its raid weapons since they are unique to that one single activity. But guess what, bungie devs just don't have a clue. I could go on and on back and forth but what's clear is this game is not what I'd hoped for and until they get some focus i can't give them any more money.

4 답변The problem is that all the people praising the taken king are the same people praising the house of wolves and that was terrible unless you are a pvp player. Remember how the POE stream looked so hard and how excited people were for it, when we got our hands on it, it was boring as hell. All we have really seem so far is a update to the GUI and changes to the way we progress and a strike, I really don't see anything to get excited for just yet after being let down so many times before

1 답변Thanks you so much for this:
All arguments in here are blind hate.
I've been trying to figure out what these forums are and someone finally nailed it on the head for me.

2 답변To be fair, it did look like a massive step in the right direction. Also, did you notice that its not all on one horizontal level? Actually using the 3d space, to fire down on enemies, and such. I may not agree with every change they are making, but that strike looked quite good.

5 답변Loved everything about the strike especially the boss battle. Don't see why there's all the hate. Even if the tank was a "reskin" who gives a shit, the cabal are a military force. They're not going to have one tank and then once that's gone it's over, they're going to bring in tanks for important tasks and for the cabal it was one, so the tank makes sense. Smh

Ill stick with my previous opinion about game expansions. If folks think their gonna hate the expansion then most likely their time with that game is finished. Adios The same thing happens in regards to changes and new additions with other games that are actually considered "mmo" titles. If you want a good example just look at Neverwinter changes for xb1 with the big expansion(s) their releasing in Sept. (already been out on the pc) Every bit of my fully maxed armor, weapons and artifacs will be completely useless to fight the new enemies with the increased lvl caps. Ill have to work with new currencies, vendors, item drop removals, RNG changes, item leveling changes, current currency changes & etc. All in all, the past 4 months have been a complete waste of every second I put into Neverwinter. So, point being, if individuals can't accept the concept of grinding again and again and again indefinitely.........just stop now.....the future of these "mmo" based gaming models will never offer anything worth your time. (If your time is worth anything to you)

1 답변You make the strike sound better then it was. Don't get me wrong I liked the strike and can't wait to play it but it just wasn't as amazing as you make it sound.
