Another edit: some of this info has new developments
Leveling from 35-36 takes less xp than 19-20 So this will get you to level 40 and have a good start on subclass.
Max level is not the end of the game and the raid doesnt come out on TTK release.
I want to prep for TTK as much as possible. Some of these ways I was suggested, some I just thought of and was curious about.
1. Max vanguard and crucible marks on each character resulting in 1200 total. I hear they will be transferred into commendations 50:1 at 300 rep per commendation. 1200/50=24(300 rep each)=7,200 reputation split between vanguard and crucible and faction of choice.
---------------------- ------------------------
2. Complete bounties worth 5k exp on each character to turn in on Sept. 15. 5k(10)(3)=150,000 exp plus 20 public event packages on each character worth 5,000 exp each. 5,000(20)(focused light)=225k
experience?
Please correct me if that is wrong!
--------------------- -------------------------
3. Edge vanguard, crucible, and my faction of choice, to the boundary of completion. Then when TTK drops, turning in bounties will complete them netting 3 packages per character with guaranteed legendarys in each.
---------------------- ------------------------
4. I plan on doing this on a newer character first, to hopefully acquire enough legendary marks to purchase a reputation gaining class-item from the speaker as well as practice the order of redeeming/buying stuff.
-------------------- --------------------------
5. Stack up on the Queen's Jewel (or whatever they are called) glimmer consumables that give 5k glimmer each. I will of course max out my glimmer to 25k and replenish it after spending some. Please note, legendary engrams CANNOT be bought with glimmer from Rahool.
--------------------- ------------------------
6. Purchase 100s of materials with vanguard marks since they will not be available for purchase with marks during TTK. The new ghost with material finding perks suggest Bungie wants to reincorporate material farming back into the game. Which, if you were vanilla, can attest that it was awful!
---------------------- ------------------------
Some Notes:
Pledging allegiance to a faction will cost 2,500 glimmer and WILL NOT require a class item to be worn.
------------------------ ---------------------
Assuming each faction takes 2,500 rep, around 9.84+the edging I will have done previously, packages will be able to be redeemed. That is a minimum of 19 legendarys on day one of TTKplus the legendary marks from dismantling the bad ones which will allow 280 Defense Armor to be purchased from any vendor above rank 2/3.
----------------------- ----------------------
The 225,000+ experience per character should be enough to hit level 40 on day one, however I doubt Bungie would allow this much cheese into their game (even though they have before). I assume the required exp to level up will increase relative to the higher levels. 6 levels will be needed to hit max assuming you are all 34.
------------------------- ---------------------
Many comments I see say to do the nightfall first to receive the buff, but I assume it will be much too difficult and Im an impatient child.
----------------------- -----------------------
One of the quests revealed on the stream gives a heavy weapon upgrade as a reward. My speculation is that the starting mission will be easy to complete right off the bat since the "spark of light" consumable boosts kinderguardians to level 25, which is high enough to start TTK activities according to Mr. Deej.
----------------------- -------------------------
Year One players will start off with the "Brave Ghost" which is a lvl 40 item. So with at least 4-5 packages per character, I am bound to receive some lvl 280 armor along with weapons. Almost sounds too easy doesn't it? Well, with the path Bungie wants to take with TTK (catering to newer players) I think leveling up with be just as easy as buying lvl 42 gear from our pal Variks on day one of HOW.
------------------------ -----------------------
This is my first real post and its disorganized and not well thought out. Please bear with me fellow guardians.
TLDR: Lots and lots of exp
Lots and lots of legendarys
Lots and lots of basic math that I
probably screwed up on
13 packages on Day One
Stock up on materials!!!
!
It isnt for a lot of players thus why I added warning about getting burnt out. But I just want to do strikes and enjoy scenery. To each his own :) Not my fault some of you think all there is to game is story.
Edit 1: This may be viewed as cheesy and not playing the game correctly, but Im a student want to do things efficiently
Edit 2: TTK summary- SUROS IS BACK!!
Edit 3: Who knew you could get so much hate for sharing game mechanics regarding experience lol
Edit 4: We been 2nd trending on destiny section for over 5 hours. So thanks I guess
Take Care Guardians!
Daishu's Edit: Faction rep will go towards crucible, vanguard, and factions! So more packages than initially anticipated.
Edit: Not sure how long it takes you all to do a few bounties and public events a day, but for most of us killing low level enemies isn't that hard. So no, this is not a massive endeavor.
Aluk Hul's tip is to hold onto faction packages to get extra reputation right away!

1 답변Quick correction. Deej stated that you ear rep for both vanguard/crucible AND whatever faction you align with that week.

I did the same post for HoW, yours has good detail. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/97198789/0/0 Don't listen to the people saying you'll run out of content. You'll be playing the same content as everyone else, but your grinding will be done beforehand instead of afterwards.

1 답변Great list. I think it mentioned in the video that you can increase your rep with a faction AND crucible/vanguard at the same time.

2 답변My buddy and I were speculating. What would happen if Bungie reset our bounties at launch? So those 10 5000 exp bounties disappear? :(

1 답변Correct me if I'm wrong but this looks more like a guide to getting a bunch of level 40 items day one versus actually hitting level 40 day one. Since the leveling system will work the same way it did prior to level 20 you'll actually have to do quests and gain experience in order to level up. Having a ton of high level armor won't make you level 40 it'll just mean you have a bunch of armor you can't equip. This is the standard guide to leveling up day one for TDB or HoW. But without light levels that method won't work anymore. A player will probably end up with a stronger character by playing the game then by playing RNG roulette and using legendary marks to buy gear they won't be able to use yet anyway. Of course none of this really matters until we know how much exp it will take to level up. It may be possible to do day one... However, my guess is that it will be nearly impossible for a player to grind out the experience required to be level 40 right away. Just like with vanilla Destiny when level 30 players were quite rare for the first 6-8 weeks I bet level 40 Guardians will be very rare as well. Without RNG being a big factor Bungie will simply do the math in such a way that 40 will take a while. Of course the guide is still a good way to get gear for when you do actually get to level 40.
