For those who say "Stop whining about your old legendaries/exotics getting nerfed".
The mentality of those who say "i'm bored of my Fatebringer, Gally and Black Hammer. I'm happy they are nerfing every single piece of gear i grinded for so i will have incentive to play again" is not a very logical way of thinking(no offense) here is why.
First off, if YOU are bored then drop your "boring" guns voluntarily, exercise some willpower, and go try something new on your own accord. Trust me, its better than being forced to grind for new guns.
Secondly, who are YOU to say to those who grinded endlessly for an entire, literal YEAR building an arsenal perfectly tailored to the way they play and love to just move on, "stop whining"? That just sounds rediculous.
Thirdly, if players were to keep their old guns it would not harm YOU nor anyone else in anyway. So what if i want to use the Strange Suspect for 10 years? It is and should be MY/the players choice to make, NOT yours or anyone opposing them. You are literally opposing something that cannot harm or dull the experience for you or anyone else in any way and would also make half the player base very happy!
Fouthly, Some of you will say this is an MMO and we should have expected this. Well, according to the Wiki, it's not an MMO. But lets say it is anyway. Other MMO's are vastly different from Destiny. Destiny is its own game! Do you know what Destiny REALLY is(cause everyone seems to have forgetting this genre)...A [u][b]LOOT[/b][/u] Based Shooter! Lest we forget Borderlands started that. That is what Destiny is, NOT an MMO. And just because someone else did it wrong, doesn't mean WE should do it wrong. This game is about [b]choice[/b]. MMO or not Bungie themselves even said the exotics at the very least would never fade and "we would never have to worry"... well, here we are. WE should have a choice! And now all the choices we worked for will vanish into obsoletion.
Lastly, just because someone plays to build a weapons collection or for a different reason than YOU doesn't mean their way of playing or opinion is wrong. People have different perspectives on this game! Just because they don't share yours doesn't mean they should GTFO. Honestly, if you can't respect theres then YOU should GTFO as it is not a matter of moral anymore, it is a fact you cannot handle others opinions. If your opinion hurts others then let it be known! If it does not then leave it alone!
[b]If one side of the forums says "Let year 1 legendaries and exotics buff alongside the new TTK gear" it literally hurts no one.

I get it--you have invested so much time into this game that you have developed a closeness to the manifestations of hard work bestowed upon you for playing the game. It's obvious because of your high grimoire. And I know how you feel, because mine is right up there with you. But you don't seem to understand that this is a game that has a very long life that will probably fulfill it's ten year promise. And if you are as committed to this game as I think you are, I think it will be sad to see you, in the year 2025, relying on your fatebringer and gjallarhorn because you're so attached to them. (And seriously aren't you bored of these weapons already? I avoid fatebringer and use my arc wolves leash instead for arc burns because if is so much more fun than fatebringer at this point!). It just doesn't seem right with me, it doesn't mesh well with the MMO stylings of the game itself, and it doesn't help to appeal to new gamers who have yet to play Destiny. I can say with confidence that a majority of people upset by this are new to MMO style games. I take it you've never played World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XI or XIV? Could you imagine how stupid those games would be if players still relied on the same items from their inaugural years to make any progress in the game?

Iam like... Meh, whatever... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We are not dumb to not see the obvious intention of Bungie to create something that lets us grind, bcoz grinding equals to a busy guardian and the more things the guardian has to do, the less he (us) complains about not enough activities. Now they are throwing more shit then ever and we, the players again complain. Also I would stop the salt and wait untill its all revelead and a good week after the release.

3 답변These weapons will still be viable when you go back and play year one content. They will also be relevant in patrols and lower level activities. Like it or not, Destiny is an MMO and MMOs don't generally carry over gear into new expansions which is what TTK is. Regardless of the fact that Destiny is a poor MMO it is still an MMO.

9 답변I disagree, I think it's unfortunate that's we lose so many weapons but something had to be done about the PVE G-Horn crutch players and the PVP Thorn scrubs, losing these two exotics will separate the players will skill from those with less skill. I'm not a massive PVP player but I'll have a lot more fun once thorn etc are gone (I use TLW and Vex both of which I will stop using in PVP once the thorn has died) and as far as PVE is concerned, I and a lot of others have done hard mode end game before Gally even dropped for us so we know we will be fine, I can't help but feel the people going overboard on these petitions just know deep down that they are going struggle to be competitive without those weapons and that's why they are all crying, we have all been grinding but ultimately it will balance the game, wonder how many people will still go flawless etc once those weapons are rendered near useless, it was a much needed fix, I do agree that it's a shame that it affects so much of the year one weapons.

It's a game! Sit down. I grinded borderlands for months and now I don't play it at all. Do I consider it wasted grind time? No it was fun while it lasted. Get a life outside games and changes in game won't crush you.

How about 99% of Destiny players. This is exactly why they need to nerf those weapons, so maybe elitists like you will use something other than the same setup used since TDB came out.

2 답변Keep your gear, you will still be able to use it for the majority of the content. BTW everyone grinded for gear, not just the people that are upset about losing it.

2 답변I think they should do what they did at the end of year one destiny and make every thing able to go to the new damage LV at the END of year 2 destiny then you can keep your fate bringers and gallys and such and still need to grind for year 2 destiny guns also.. Then everyone wins!!

5 답변Lol you must not have played any mmo, ever. And in case you say, "Destiny isn't an mmo" well you're -blam!-ing wrong, it is, and at the very least heavily takes after mmo's in it's progression system. Don't like it? Go play cod or some other shit game.
