Some people are followers, they'll agree with most of Bungie's decisions.

I've been playing since Alpha, too much if you ask me. But this game is fun and addictive. I use the gjallarhorn and fatebringer a lot. Not as much anymore but that's because I barely play pvp. I don't even think we should've gotten to ascend anything besides exotics personally. It may not state it's an MMO, but it has very similar elements. [spoiler]If you want to keep using your vanilla gear then just keep playing only year one content, problem solved.[/spoiler]

So wait, your whole point is that you want blackhammer(soon to be useless/not even as close to as useful with the upcoming nerf), the gjallarhorn(also going to be nerfed hardcore with the upcoming patch because it does WAY too much damage) and fatebringer which isnt getting nerfed, but it still an all around amazing gun to be on par immediately with TTK gear? Lets take a look at something, when TDB came out and increased the damage output by creating new weapons, did everyone just drop the fatebringer and all the other vog weapons? No. Because it was still relevant and could do enough damage to not make it unworthwhile. The SAME shit is gonna happen when TTK comes out, sure it wont be as good as the new gear, but thats alright, because its your choice to continue playing with them. Nobody said STOP PLAYING WITH YOUR FATEBRINGER, ITS NOT 331 DAMAGE!! When the dark below came out. Quit -blam!-ing whining about all the OP weapons not being as OP. Theyll still be useful. And even if they dont do as much damage as the new weapons, so what. Bosses arent meant to be killed in 1 minute with gjallarhorns, or unlimited crit shot with the blackhammer til it dies. The fatebringer is also very good on its own and is one of the most used legendary primaries in the game. Change is good. Quit -blam!-ing whining about wanting destinys players to be a one show pony with their raid weapons setup, let multiple setups be able to be created. And all of these threads about Y1 weapons die. tl;dr- a decrease in damage is okay, seeing as all the bosses in destiny die extremely quick with current Y1 weapons as it is, why bring these weapons into Y2 doing as much damage as they did in Y1. Lets move onto Y2 in Y2 stuff, or Y1 with an extra challenge for our nostalgic players using fatebringer/old exotics in TTK

I've grinded hard for that gear and gotten almost none of it, but I'm happy about Bungie leaving it in the past because I like change, also the one thing you seem to have forgotten about borderlands, IS THAT GUNS ARE OUTRANKED BY GUNS YOU GET IN TWO OR THREE LEVELS. And that borderlands never experienced the same kind of disgusting stagnation of weapon load outs the destiny has, it's always been Fate Bringer and Ghally on top. (The Rosie doesn't count because the pre sequel doesn't count) yes in true vault hunter mode all guns are dropped at max level and thus have all have equal stats( from a level to damage standpoint) sure some guns sucked no matter what level they were but there was a wide enough variety of good guns that everyone had a unique play style and load out. Bungie is trying to give us that wide variety of guns by leaving the old ones in the past, they were too good, they were a mistake, now Bungie is trying to keep that from happening.

I'm bored of my Fatebringer, Gally and Black Hammer. I'm happy they are nerfing every single piece of gear i grinded for so i will have incentive to play again.

Look, Destiny is a 10 year game. Bungie and Activision need you to stay interested and playing. If they let you bring ALL your gear to year 2, AND upgrade it fully, what incentive would you have to play new content? Why would you try for that new exotic heavy fusion rifle if Gally does just as much damage? Fact is, there will be new and better exotics to replace the ones we are missing. Enjoy the possibilities.
