Good bye to all the toxic players
So I've been playing since beta, I have three characters all 34 if I put the armor on them for it. I've been through the highs, the lows, the buffs, the nerfs, vault of glass, crotas end, prison of elders. I still have my shadow price. Vision of confluence, G-Horn, the loot cave, I've seen it all. And let me say, I LOVE everything they are doing with the taken king. People are complaining that they are taking away our old weapons and armor, do you actually want to use the same weapons for the next ten years? You do realize that things change right? Why are you complaining that there are new weapons and items and activities out there to discover and obtain? They aren't just erasing all of your stuff, it will still be there, it just won't be the best stuff in the game any more. Which is what happens in every DLC/Expansion/sequel in the history of gaming.
So for all the people saying that this was a dumb move, or they aren't playing any more because they can't upgrade their fatebringer/G-Horn/Thorn, and attacking people for being ok with the changes, good bye and good riddance. You are part of the problem, not the solution. I hope you find fun some where else, but please stop poisoning this mostly great and helpful community.
Edit: for the people that don't get it, I agree it would be nice to have all of our things carry over, but in this type of game, that's the nature of it. Each time the game expands we will have to put our old toys away, and go out and get the new ones. Is it right, or going to make everyone happy? No, but that's the game design. I have no problem with people stating their opinions, but attacking people and claiming to boycott when everyone knows you won't is not going to solve anything at all.
Edit: if you get shut down by other people in another comment, I'm not acknowledging you unless you have something intelligent to say.

Yes to all of this. Thank you for posting this. I have been playing since near the beginning and remember the loot cave and all that. It was fun, but really look forward to the Taken King and all the new changes coming with it.

Change illustrates improvement or moving forward this is like getting a new console when I got my ps3 I was sad at leaving my ps2, ratchet, ape escape, and kingdom hearts behind but I went forward with high hopes knowing that the next generation will be an improvement and that I will find a new thing to be fond of. So don't think of this as bungie telling you to scrap your old weapons but think of it as an opportunity to find something new you'll cherish as much as your Gally or fatebringer. So keep your head up guardians. BTW this is directed at the change angry people.

Oh my poor misguided friend. I agree with you about the upcoming changes but there will always, always be toxic people in any community. Especially in a virtual one where people have complete anonymity and no consequences to their actions. The important thing is that we still enjoy the game whether they're here or not.

Destiny is neither an mmo or a fps; destiny is the first hybrid born from both genres, and some mechanics can be copied from mmo's, but others should not be copied. I grinded countless hours to max out my exotics. I have all of them and they are all either maxed out or they only need the exotic shard to max them. Now, I admit that the 1st mmo I'm playing is ESO, but in ESO I don't have to grind weapons to lv them up; I get what I get and I can either enchant them or move on to the next weapon. I don't care if my ESO weapons are useless when the next dlc comes because I didn't had to invest countless hours leveling them up, but in destiny, they are telling me that all the hours I spent lv up the weapons will go to waste. That's unfair, and it feels that I did all that weapons grinding for nothing. I know bungie is inventing the wheel right now, but this is simply an incorrect approach.

1 답변There are a lot of toxic players glad those guys and gals are leaving. Im on the fence about losing some of my fav weapons and armor. I'll give it a chance though and hope for the best.

2 답변Some people need distinguish between feedback and poison. This nothing like the Gally poison last weekend. People whined because they wanted to exert their will over others (you should not have the Gally because I "earned" it). The "xurned" Gally owners did not take anything away from anyone. If anything, those that insist Y1 gear should be left behind will have nothing to lose if this vocal part of the community get their way (of which I am part of). Just shard them when the TK comes out.

I completely agree with you. People just need to grow as players. It's funny because if they were actually able to take some guns with them, they would then complain that the game is boring. There is no winning. Personally, I'm excited for the new content. I'm excited to see what the new weapons can do. I just want to have fun and this new dlc is going to be filled with it.

7 답변lol....People who complain about things aren't the toxic part of the community. It's all the people who just sit down and eat everything Bungie feeds them regardless of what it is. The complainers are what allows Bungie to notice what is actually wrong with this game and trust me, there was A LOT wrong with this game. People like you are what's toxic. The type of people who may not like something but learn to love if because it was given to them by their idol. That's the type of crap that leaves the shitty aspect of the game just as they are: shitty. At an end note, we are paying 40 dollars for an expansion but cannot retain all our exotics. Doesn't that mean we should get a refund for our other exotics? I have NEVER heard of a paid expansion that actually locks some content.

I use both found verdict and swordbreaker. I wear a mix of all the raids, with some vanilla mixed in. It makes me my own legend, what i choose to use and represent myself. Tell us the long term plan! That's all I want. But they won't. They keep playing games with us to keep us on the hook. Stop changing things and then changing them back. This whole experiment of a game has gone so badly, but they don't care because they are making their millions.

Except you should want to delete your old stuff for the new stuff, not feel regret for deleting the old stuff, like Shadow Price, because the new stuff is worse. Yes, this is how it should work. When the reward for running the endgame in the third DLC is a shank burn void rocket launcher, I can understand players' skepticism.
