So there is a decent chance Destiny will linger on. Many players, myself included, are (were) pulled in through a regiment of rigorous marketing aimed at the two largest pools of gamers; RPG-ers & FPS-ers. If you've ever lived at a cyber cafe for a year or two, you know what I mean; counterstrike & WoW galore. Now I cannot speak for FPS-ers, as I am not as devoted, but the rpg fans really received the short end of the stick. For an FPS, the game play is for the most part fluid & fun. But as a game in general, therein lies several problems. First, lack of content. Sure the game may build on itself with new content released slowly and steadily (proportionate to money spent relative to the time released, but I wouldn't say proportionate to the content given), but without a strong foundation, you may find the rest of the creation to be flimsy & unable to stand on its own (this is true in many things in life from building a house to raising a child). Destiny didn't have a good foundation. Seriously if you played the beta, it was basically the beta all over again with a few more missions, strikes and a raid (a long strike where you and your teammates figure out the circle does not go in the square hole). The gear didn't even seem to change or expand much. The story has exponentially more holes than the deadspace franchise. One of the real enticers to keep players playing is the need to know more & by dangling the idea of a carrot on a stick (with there being no actual carrot) is enough to satisfy some for some time. I've made a metaphor in the past to this; the VoG Dream. It is in regards to the players who look for secrets and/or something more to give the more insight, more gear, more of anything. And where I applaud their pioneering efforts, I honestly believe Destiny has shown thus far to have the depth of a puddle & their search has been in vain. Back to having a solid foundation, other games can be said to not have been their best at vanilla. Civfans will agree Civ5 didn't get really good till the two expansions were released. Developers see potential to improve upon a product to bring it to a new level. That works best when you have a decent product to begin with before you start devising improvements. So far with each expansion all I've seen is bungie testing to see how far they can push their players to keep grinding before they get bored and bottom out. That and how much money they can pull from players. Sure with that last expansion release (the aesthetic items) they made some changes after their initial fiasco to appease the populous & save face. But in the initial few weeks, the time when the impatient & impulsive are easy prey, I'm sure they made a decent profit off of 'Collector's Editions' complete with poor content you already bought. And that was what? A misunderstanding? I'm pretty sure as to what is released & how it is released Bungie is fully aware of it's actions. So will it last ten years? If Bungie keeps selling content mini bundles not worth the cost, speedily revolving through gear tiers (making you basically obsolete every 2-3 months), micromanaging the game play experience to extend the grind, and continuing to express bad business ethics, no it will not last the decade. But as stated initially, the influx of new players are sure to keep it festering.

14 답변Lol it's not going fail. Destiny is a over whelming success. Despite all the complaining on these forums it really only represents a tiny portion player base. It's like news you only tend to hear about the bad shit. In fact it's already prob a success just with the amount pre orders alone.

3 답변작성자: nomorbountisXP 8/18/2015 3:49:31 PMMan I have fallen victim to the hype for TDB and HOW. When I finished both of them I became aware that I didn't really like them. I like the skolas fight...that's about it. The content is so stretched out man it's so repetitive. At first I didn't care because of the awesome graphics and mechanics. But right now I'm taking a break before TTK. If I feel the same way about ttk as I do right now about these last two dlcs, I'll probably break my addiction and just leave because there are many other games on the horizon. Lastly, if I encounter more than 3 glitches in the new raid I will not play the raid until they patch it because I did that with Crota and wasted time and sleep for absolutely nothing.

Same thing that has already happened.. People will bitch and moan about how much it sucks, but still play it anyway. And those that say they quit playing Destiny will just troll on the forums rather than be playing the games "that killed" Destiny.
