Is old gen holding back next gen?
W/out old gen-
- more vault space
- bigger areas
- more loot
- more story missions, strikes, raids
-etc.

IMO yes. In certain ways I'm sure there are some aspects of the design that are reduced due to the expectation of parity across gens. That being said, destiny was put on 360/PS3 for install base reasons. It was supposed to be available at launch Activision being as big as it is wanted to get its massively expensive game sold through as much as possible. So ya technically current gen destiny is probably held back but destiny 2 will be the fully realized vision we've been waiting on.

What do you mean "is"? I would be shocked if it wasn't; the old consoles are inferior in every way to the new ones, so any game that's developed for both need to be, logically, inferior in regards to what they could be on next-gen only.

작성자: lakerjeff78 8/19/2015 4:47:28 AMYes. For everything you just said. People just don't get that the big difference between current and last Gen isn't graphics, it's memory. Destiny is an online game which makes it memory intensive. Current Gen has 16x the RAM of Last Gen. I mean just look at this. In order to increase the vault space by less than half, they had to take away the ability to compare equipped items to vault items on Last Gen. This is in the most static environment in the game. If there are limitations on stuff like that in the tower, an area where little changes; just think of what the limitations are for patrol areas and whatnot.

Although I'm on a 360 still. I do find it odd that games are still being made cross generation. I get it. One year. Maybe even two is reasonable. There shouldn't be anymore. I don't think there has been an honest to god current Gen game yet. Nothing of note anyway. All major titles are still being released for both. I don't get it. Push yourselves to take advent age of the new consoles. I for sure thought it would be happening already and I would be all " Damn that game looks awesome I want to play that. Xbox one only. Time for an upgrade." So far everything coming out is lacking hard. This last year I honestly didn't see a single game that was like Ya. I'll spend 60 bucks on that. Maybe it will happen soon. I hope so. But it will have to be after they stop trying to cater to everyone.

1 답변Yes but give it another year and even Microsoft will give up on 360 even tho they said they wouldn't. Half the apps don't work anymore anyway and half the ones that do don't work right. Soon the will be nothing but game bricks like the days of old
