Edit: Why have you all decided to start responding on this post again?
As someone who struggles with getting Fireteams together, I wish Destiny would allow Raids to have a matchmaking element. It should always be an option, no matter if you already have a Fireteam or not. Nobody will join a Fireteam if you do not want to speak over mic, and I find talking with people I've never met incredibly awkward and annoying. Not that the people are annoying, just the amount of unknown factors of douchiness that go in to public chats. I hope SOMEONE agrees, because I have not been able to take part in any raids because my friend who plays Destiny is online at different times and it's hard to create a Fireteam. It also seems as though it makes you feel left out because it talks about "Playing online and communicating and making friends", to which I say that Online Friends are just pixels and a muffled voice, they are not true friends.
Edit 1: This has truly become quite the discussion! I've joined some groups now that are constantly posting stuff about raids. Matchmaking should still be an option though. Keep up the good discussion! Maybe Bungie will notice(just kidding-they don't give a shit)

1 답변Matchmaker raids seemed like a good idea ... till they started doing the weekly heroics that way. I've seen what randoms can act like, I can't imagine a full blown VoG raid with a group like that. *ugh*

The funny thing is that people whine about matchmaking. If the Raids were matchmaking then literally nothing would change for those players who say things like "get friends." They would still being their friends. They would still Raid. Even if they didn't have a full team they could LfG for a specific player before starting. For the rest of us, we could have an easier time finding a full team just by starting.
Matchmaking would be a good addition and there is literally no reason not to have it.
Dog... It would take forever to get through raids if your team didn't have mics. I see quite a few LFG posts on reddit saying no mic, I can only imagine all the other people who don't use mics and expect to utilize the teamwork and strategy for raids. Now, if they could limit matchmaking to people with mics that would be a good start. Raids just have the potential to take a long ass time if expectations aren't set at the beginning between fireteam members.

I could barely get a decent team to do the weekly level 32 today through matchmaking. most of them ignored the modifier and kept DYING. I tried FOUR times before I got a team that knew what the hell they were doing. screw matchmaking for raids.

I always do the weekly heroic with matchmaking. If I like the people I run it with, I send them a friend request. This will help build your destiny friends list which then gives you more opportunities for end game content. But no matchmaking for raids. You want to run raids with people you know you work well with. th3swip3

Because it's to long and you have to be organized for it to work. If everyone just runs out at once no one will know who's doing what For example: what would happen if 3 people went for the sword at once on Crota Plus checkpoints wouldn't exist anymore because destiny isn't advance enough to have you join people on the same checkpoint

2 답변No. Just no. That option would be abused hardcore. Learn to make the distinction between online friends and irl friends, if you have a problem with that perhaps you should seek professional help.
