Edit: I guess Bungie has revealed the "something better " for year one players.
Final edit:this post was originally about the "something better" that DeeJ tweeted/posted about for year one players. It appear that it is a new GHOST SHELL, SHADER, EMBLEM, and SPARROW.

Awhile back, when the community was in an uproar over the price packages for the taken King, DeeJ tweeted or posted in the community update (the comment has since been removed) that year one players would receive "something better" than the emotes, etc.
This was in addition to the VIP year one package, because at the time the VIP package was already revealed. I would really like DeeJ to answer the question in regards to the something better. I would like to see this thread stay relevant until he answers the question.
I am also sending DeeJ a tweet everyday asking him this question. Let's not harass DeeJ though, okay.
I am NOT saying that year one players do or do not deserve anything special, so please, let's not turn it into an argument over that.
I am simply seeking an answer to what DeeJ put out there to calm the storm.
So DeeJ, is there still a "something better", or was that said just to calm the storm? If you can't say what it is just yet, can you al least acknowledge that it still exists, and maybe when it can be revealed?

Edit 1: Seems like the consensus is the moments of triumph emblem. I contend that this emblem was always a part of Bungie's plan (to keep people playing) and they are conveniently using it as the "something better".
Something better shouldn't have a bunch of requirements, in my opinion.

Edit 4: many people are suggesting the VIP rewards. Maybe it is, I thought they were announced before the "something better " statement. I may be wrong. Bungie has not said what they are doing for the people who bought the collectors editions. They did say information to come shortly. Whatever shortly means, I don't know.

5 답변his something better was the triumphs and its gonna be a quote saying look at what you've accomplished guardians you've done all those tasks that new players didn't during that time, and you get this emblem and that is your something better. that's what I feel is gonna happen.

7 답변I love the MoT emblem. Why? because by Year 3 or 4...you won't see em, and they'll be pretty rare. Once all the whiners and complainers are long gone, and people have stopped playing. Walking around with that emblem will be fun, having people look at it and go look it up. Stuff like that is cool, because everyone at the time whinges about how crap it is and don't bother getting it....so it becomes rarer as the years go on and a point of pride. It ain't that hard to get either.

You as a company/leader/figure head are supposed to treat them with respect and most importantly give them special events/celebrations/rewards etc. This is done in every aspect of life, we don't even get special event days with unique adventures and jackolyte like items. Bungie doesn't care enough, they're blinded by a corporate mindset but the problem is they don't have billions of loyal customers like McDonald's, Coke, Budweiser, The United States of America, China etc.. If they keep it up, they'll never have loyal followers and perish like the great Pharoahs of Egypt trying to replenish their slave population every 6 months.
