Edit: I guess Bungie has revealed the "something better " for year one players.
Final edit:this post was originally about the "something better" that DeeJ tweeted/posted about for year one players. It appear that it is a new GHOST SHELL, SHADER, EMBLEM, and SPARROW.

Awhile back, when the community was in an uproar over the price packages for the taken King, DeeJ tweeted or posted in the community update (the comment has since been removed) that year one players would receive "something better" than the emotes, etc.
This was in addition to the VIP year one package, because at the time the VIP package was already revealed. I would really like DeeJ to answer the question in regards to the something better. I would like to see this thread stay relevant until he answers the question.
I am also sending DeeJ a tweet everyday asking him this question. Let's not harass DeeJ though, okay.
I am NOT saying that year one players do or do not deserve anything special, so please, let's not turn it into an argument over that.
I am simply seeking an answer to what DeeJ put out there to calm the storm.
So DeeJ, is there still a "something better", or was that said just to calm the storm? If you can't say what it is just yet, can you al least acknowledge that it still exists, and maybe when it can be revealed?

Edit 1: Seems like the consensus is the moments of triumph emblem. I contend that this emblem was always a part of Bungie's plan (to keep people playing) and they are conveniently using it as the "something better".
Something better shouldn't have a bunch of requirements, in my opinion.

Bungie has not said what they are doing for the people who bought the collectors editions. They did say information to come shortly. Whatever shortly means, I don't know.

4 답변It's the ghost shell. Originally we were being "rewarded" with Sparrow Shader Nameplate. The Ghost Shell was not originally advertised with the VIP rewards. And Laurea Primea is the moments of Triumph nameplate that will be the more rare of the two, seeing as to be VIP all you need do is buy dlcs in the next 11 days.

I still check the forums from time to time just for kicks, but I decided a couple months ago I wasn't going to preorder, and I've seen nothing to change my mind. That's why there's less people calling them on this on these forums. They're overcharging, not giving me enough reason to pay even $30 for a preorder, and every "change" they announce, like capping year one legendaries and nerfing IB, gjallarhorn, and BH, make me want to play again even less. Gjallarhorn on xur last week was exciting, though. I know a ton of people are pumped, but I'm sad it'll be nerfed in just a couple weeks now that so many can experience how fun it really is.

Deej can't exactly just come out and say everything we are getting. They have a month to go before the taken king drops. They have to at least build some suspense. If they still have the "something better" planned, perhaps it will come at a later date. Or just not be talked about and simply is released.

7 답변Here's an even better unanswered quote that was given after the Luke Smith bashing on all day one players: "If you purchased the existing Digital Collector’s Edition, and you already owned Destiny and both expansion packs, we’ll have some additional information for you soon." This info was never brought to light and the so called apology for Luke Smith's comments were nothing but rewording what he already said.
