Skolas took me 10 runs at 4 hours each with my clan...i ran it once with 2 pugs and did it on 1 hour. I was so stoked. I know the feeling. Well anyways i went with LoW. Good luck!

Beat him for the first time yesterday, me and my one friend were inexperienced but it only took us like 5 wipes at Skolas himself. none of us got any elemental primaries, but we all got ciphers :B

Congrats bud. I've beaten skolas over 20x ( 9x no burn). most of my skolas kills was helping those who hasn't beat him yet. I'm about to do that again tonight to a skolas first timer. The first time I beaten skolas (second week of HoW release) there was so many glitchy connection. Right when my team finally killed skolas and dismantled the mines, the destiny connection kicked me back into orbit and I couldn't collect my treasure room loot. I was super bummed from it that night, took me hours to do it with my fireteam since it was our first time doing it (before we knew about the sniper burn tip) That was my first skolas defeat. I felt robbed but the next day I went for it again with my same fireteam with our other characters because they felt I was robbed too. Beat skolas within 30 min and it felt super great a sort of relief, got a primary burn weapon from it and a cipher. After getting all the ciphers and when it was no burn I started doing just one class per week versus 3x aweek. lol I tend to only do it when helping first timers. Hearing them say thank you is priceless. again fellow guardian. Hopefully you get a nice primary burn weapon next time.
