This is the first time I've ever really posted to a forum...but there is just something wrong to me with the way people look for other people regarding raids/trials/PoE.
This notion occurred to me a few weeks ago as I was going to start looking for raids to run my (at the time) lvl 30 Warlock and lvl 32 Titan through. As I sat there, shifting through different groups on Bungie's group forums to find a group, I began to notice a trend...
This wasn't just one of your "oh, OK, I guess that's reasonable and makes sense" trends, it was more of a "I want to do this as quickly as possible, no newbs, no scrubs, no little kids, I'm awesome and you suck" type of trends...
To get to the point, why does anyone need a group of six lvl 34 players with max 365 gally's and other max weapons to run normal friggin VoG, and why is that the requirement? The notion in itself is ridiculous.
Furthermore, its not like they were the only people requesting something to that extent. I saw others like normal Crota, and 32/34 PoE demanding the same level of players...meanwhile you have kids on there that are just begging you to take their lvl 29 into normal VoG. Since when has anyone NEEDED this kind of level or equipment to run these raids? IMO, if you need that, you're worse than the lvl 29 just trying to get into the raid.
To be clear, we were all running VoG and Crota on both normal AND hard before level 34 was ever available. We were running VoG on normal AND hard before lvl 32 was ever available for that fact. So again, I ask, why is it a requirement to be lvl 34 with 365 gally and other max weaps to run normal VoG? My answer, it shouldn't be and you're pathetic for demanding that.
I run raids because I like to run them, I enjoy them, and I enjoy them when they're challenging. Sure, I get frustrated sometimes, everyone does when you've been stuck on an event for three hours, but we've all been there. But this fact that someone who can't get into a raid because they aren't 34 or at least 32+ is ignoramus (ha-ha, big werdz).
What level were you when you ran your first raid with your first character? I bet you weren't a lvl 34 badass with 365 gally and max weaps with all the experience to run the raid backwards and blindfolded. No, like me you were probably some lvl 27 Hunter/Titan/Warlock begging some group of people to take you along for the ride.
In closing, and in short the point of my, let's say rant, here is...
Quit being stuck up and lazy, when you select the raid it shows you the RECOMMENDED level for the raid so why not start there in posting what level you "need".
Secondly, remember where you started, and show a little compassion for that 10 year old kid who's looking for a raid, yeah I know they can get annoying, but what does it say about you being a twenty something elitist prick to that 10 year old kid? You feel like a big shot after talking smack over the internet? How adult of you.
Thirdly, have fun, there's is no reason I should need to listen to you throw your damn controller across the room because, *gasp* we didn't down Crota the first time *gasp*.
And finally, let's help the little guy out, its not gonna kill you to carry someone every once in a while, there's no need to post that you NEED a "level 34+ with max gally and weaps and God mode unlocked and better work for the developers because I want my lewtz from this raid, you suck insta-kick" that stuffs just dumb.
The same goes for those of you demanding flawless for trials. I bet you weren't always flawless, in fact, I KNOW you weren't, and for you to be all "well they should try harder and do trials more and meh my panties are too tight, elitist elitist lewtz, sniffle". How the hell do you expect them to, for one, go flawless if they are constantly fighting groups of flawless people and for two even get to the point of playing if all you're requiring is them to be flawless, stop being dumb and apply some intelligence to your request.
To those of you haters that are gonna be all "meh, your just saying this because you suck, bleh bleh bleh". Get something straight, I have 3 lvl 34's, all with gally and other various max weaps, and most of you would be envious for what gear I have just sitting in my vault. Additionally I am always willing to help carry anyone as long as I am available and they put the group together.
End rant.

My clan helps people with the raids all the time and we do not have a requirement to join just a basic willingness to listen to what needs to be done and do it. Trials on the other had is a different beast of its own bungie really screwed that up by allow only premade teams to join in. should have an option to match making.

1 답변The problem stems from how easy it is to get to level 34. They figure if you are level 34, with Gjallarhorn, you've been around long enough to have a few raid completions. People that put raids together are doing so purposefully (shout out to anyone who still hasn't gotten fatebringer or vmc, my heart goes out to you) it has become a part of the weekly thing they do to try to get things they want. Look for threads and posts looking to carry newbies, those are the people who are doing it because they want to, not because they have no other option.

My first raid back when vog hard was actually hard was vog normal. My entire team was lvl 26 and the saddest part was i was the only one with a legendary weapon which was the calling scout rifle (I think). We managed to beat the whole raid. Now if I want to find a raid I have to make sure I'm lvl 34 all maxed weapons and have ghally equipped or else I get booted. Talk about sad times.

20 답변When i was playing regularly, i would try to play those but i had people constantly getting on my case about being a level 32 and not having a legendary primary weapon. Problem there is, with my luck, i get every legendary weapon EXCEPT one that i need and can use. I primarily use a scout rifle and i end up getting hand cannons and RPGs. There is nothing i can do about it because of how messed up the RNG system is. Out of all the grinding i ever did, not once did i ever receive a primary weapon above a blue. Its not that i did anything wrong, the RNG system just hates me. And its pathetic how those who get screwed constantly by the RNG system are the ones who are looked down on as people who "bring down" the team even though when i play with people, im usually the one picking their sorry asses off the ground and getting the same if not more kills than they do and i STILL dont get any luck with the damn RNG system.

2 답변I'll take anyone through anything. If I have to teach them along the way, then the community is better for it. Last night I went into VoG hard mode with my buddy & 4 kids that didn't have a hard mode completion and less than 5 on normal. We had to Sherpa them hard, but it's worth it to see kids learn and start to fulfill their potential. We had a great time. We always do.

I make a point of inviting a couple of new raiders every time I run a raid. Spreading the knowledge and hearing them get excited when something drops for them is what it's all about. Playing with 34s that have everything like me is pointless and fairly boring imo.

I ask for max level when doing LFG because hiccups suck and easily avoided if you know the people joining you have spent the time to leave up properly. If this game wasn't a year old id let anyone join in but this late in the game majority of players are just trying to get things done quickly. So yeah no under leveled players will be wanted. It's simple.

1 답변I play Destiny to have a good time. Do I help EVERYBODY that cries about being left out? Hell no. And I shouldn't be shamed by you or anyone else for wanting to complete a raid/PoE/Trials with other EXPERIENCED players.

4 답변I am trying to finish my moments of triumph and that is the one thing that has kept me from completing it. Which is extremely frustrating but i just keep plugging away trying to find a group who will help me .

I guess people want to run it as quickly and painlessly as possible. But as someone with limited experience raiding, and who has yet to receive a Gally, I also think this is riduclous. I complete all sorts of content in the game without a Gally. The only thing I haven't gotten yet is level 35 Skolas, and I'm guessing it might help a bit there. But you know what, I plan on achieving that too before TKK. And if I don't have a Gally yet when I do, then oh well. I'll do it anyway. As far as the level requirement goes, that is just absolutely ridiculous. It's people not knowing how the levels affect you in PvE. Your level above the enemy barely makes a difference. Your stats are scaled down to that level enemy anyway. This is why we can still get overrun and killed by a level 20 even though we're level 34. I believe your gun AP does count for something, but you could be wearing level 32 or level 34 armor for Crota Hard and it wouldn't make any difference to how fast you are killed. And level 32 or level 34 armor won't change how hard you hit either. The only thing your level does for you is increase how hard your abilities hit. So grenades, supers, etc... But taking damage and dishing it out aren't affected by your light level if you are already above the enemy.

Well said. I gave up on trying to find a trials group after every thread I read said must have at least a 1.5 KD and have gone flawless at least 3 times... Normal Crota shouldn't require anything as that is some of the easiest content in the game. You can literally beat that entire raid by yourself.

I go for 27+ through vog normal, 29+ through vog hard, 30+ through crota normal, 31+ for crota hard. Those levels were me and my friends at some point. This game was better before gally got noticed. In mid-November gally and level 30 started to be required for vog hard

1 답변I hear you. I did VoG hard with a random fireteam and one of the guys got pissy when I switched from my level 34 gear to my vault gear (not all of it is ascended so my level went down to 32). I had to explain to him that the only difference between a 34 and 32 on VoG hard is your armor rating. He shut his ass up when I clutched the oracles on the final round when he had died on the 3rd.

Agree, gear and level is less necessary for raids than actual ability. The Gally is only really preferred for Crota. For VOG it's really unnecessary. I wish my schedule was more forgiving. I'd Sherpa a lot more than I do now if it was.
