This is the first time I've ever really posted to a forum...but there is just something wrong to me with the way people look for other people regarding raids/trials/PoE.
This notion occurred to me a few weeks ago as I was going to start looking for raids to run my (at the time) lvl 30 Warlock and lvl 32 Titan through. As I sat there, shifting through different groups on Bungie's group forums to find a group, I began to notice a trend...
This wasn't just one of your "oh, OK, I guess that's reasonable and makes sense" trends, it was more of a "I want to do this as quickly as possible, no newbs, no scrubs, no little kids, I'm awesome and you suck" type of trends...
To get to the point, why does anyone need a group of six lvl 34 players with max 365 gally's and other max weapons to run normal friggin VoG, and why is that the requirement? The notion in itself is ridiculous.
Furthermore, its not like they were the only people requesting something to that extent. I saw others like normal Crota, and 32/34 PoE demanding the same level of players...meanwhile you have kids on there that are just begging you to take their lvl 29 into normal VoG. Since when has anyone NEEDED this kind of level or equipment to run these raids? IMO, if you need that, you're worse than the lvl 29 just trying to get into the raid.
To be clear, we were all running VoG and Crota on both normal AND hard before level 34 was ever available. We were running VoG on normal AND hard before lvl 32 was ever available for that fact. So again, I ask, why is it a requirement to be lvl 34 with 365 gally and other max weaps to run normal VoG? My answer, it shouldn't be and you're pathetic for demanding that.
I run raids because I like to run them, I enjoy them, and I enjoy them when they're challenging. Sure, I get frustrated sometimes, everyone does when you've been stuck on an event for three hours, but we've all been there. But this fact that someone who can't get into a raid because they aren't 34 or at least 32+ is ignoramus (ha-ha, big werdz).
What level were you when you ran your first raid with your first character? I bet you weren't a lvl 34 badass with 365 gally and max weaps with all the experience to run the raid backwards and blindfolded. No, like me you were probably some lvl 27 Hunter/Titan/Warlock begging some group of people to take you along for the ride.
In closing, and in short the point of my, let's say rant, here is...
Quit being stuck up and lazy, when you select the raid it shows you the RECOMMENDED level for the raid so why not start there in posting what level you "need".
Secondly, remember where you started, and show a little compassion for that 10 year old kid who's looking for a raid, yeah I know they can get annoying, but what does it say about you being a twenty something elitist prick to that 10 year old kid? You feel like a big shot after talking smack over the internet? How adult of you.
Thirdly, have fun, there's is no reason I should need to listen to you throw your damn controller across the room because, *gasp* we didn't down Crota the first time *gasp*.
And finally, let's help the little guy out, its not gonna kill you to carry someone every once in a while, there's no need to post that you NEED a "level 34+ with max gally and weaps and God mode unlocked and better work for the developers because I want my lewtz from this raid, you suck insta-kick" that stuffs just dumb.
The same goes for those of you demanding flawless for trials. I bet you weren't always flawless, in fact, I KNOW you weren't, and for you to be all "well they should try harder and do trials more and meh my panties are too tight, elitist elitist lewtz, sniffle". How the hell do you expect them to, for one, go flawless if they are constantly fighting groups of flawless people and for two even get to the point of playing if all you're requiring is them to be flawless, stop being dumb and apply some intelligence to your request.
To those of you haters that are gonna be all "meh, your just saying this because you suck, bleh bleh bleh". Get something straight, I have 3 lvl 34's, all with gally and other various max weaps, and most of you would be envious for what gear I have just sitting in my vault. Additionally I am always willing to help carry anyone as long as I am available and they put the group together.
End rant.

Look I get that you feel slighted by people wanting to do things quickly but you are acting entitled. Some people are on schedules and want to do things swiftly . It's no crime to desire quick results. No one owes you this. There are plenty of Sherpas out there if you use the correct channels. There are lanes. You are clearly in the wrong one. It isn't elitism. It is people playing games and not having time to sit around while we try to get past one part of Croat for an hour. I shearpa all the time, but I can't always and when I can't I don't want to sit around with incompetent people.

3 답변(Read in an old man voice for greatest effect) Back in my day, we were lucky to get 2 lvl 29 that had 2 legendary weapons. Kids these days with their fancy shmancy 365 Ghorns and lvl 34 characters.

3 답변My little story and mini rant
I did VoG as a 29 once playing the 26 version w/ a 27, 26, 31, 32 & another 29. And all the 30's did was bitch about how impossible this was w/ "low levels" ??? When we wiped after nearly killing the enraged Templar I checked the screen & I had tied the 32 for kills, far away more than anyone else, and the first thing he said was "the 29 is close atleast, just not good enough yet" & they quit ? Makes ? No ? Sense ? To ? Me ??? Nobody seems to play patiently anymore. They want a speed run. They want loot. Then they want to use said loot to speed run for more loot. Which, if you've played the game everyday since launch I understand. I don't lol so I guess I enjoy the content alittle differently from you And I guess they just feel like being appropriately leveled for activities is under leveled if under max (I'm so glad they're changing this TTK) - I have 12 days on my hunter & was never max level until HoW. Never got the chance to finish VoG w/ anyone I ever played with.
Is there a clan out there w/ patient players who actually enjoy playing this game w/o speed running still? Like even if not everyday, just casually but does end game content. That's who I'd like to join and being playing w/ when TTK drops

3 답변Well said. We even walked a level 32 through his first 3 nightfalls last night. He did just fine, especially after a few small pointers on gear, equipment and placement. There is a large number of folks in this game that have always played solo, have had a few bad games with elitists and bad players and stayed away from the raids and other non-matchmade content. Unfortunately, many of the folks on LFG that post that kind of ridiculous requirements are self-centered players that just want to run things quick with fellow elitists.

You can thank Bungie and their lack of in-game matchmaking or fire team building tools. One of the many holes in this game. One site I find has better options for players is www.the100.io Less elitism there and you can set filters to find players similar to you.

1 답변작성자: draycole 8/12/2015 5:25:15 PMAdvice 1. On lfg just say you have max everything. Including gjallahorn even if you don't, that's what I do. 2. It's not to hard to pick up on raid mechanics, I remember my first time in the vault, had no idea what I was doing lol.. So when they'd shoot at stuff I'd just shoot too (the never knew I was a noob) 3. Poe there's not much to learn except for Skolas. But he's not worth the effort. 4 I usually try and get the fireteam leader to keep the lower level guys, like the 27s-28s. Sometimes I'll go on with my troll gear(brings me down to around level 28) to see what kind of people I'm playing with.

2 답변Not that I'm condoning what they are doing but isn't it kind of obvious why they make these requirements? They want to go through it as fast as possible. They've probably had bad experiences in the past with bad players and now they just want to take the lowest risk possible.

1 답변It's just snobbery. To be honest, a lot of them REALLY don't come up to their claims in reality. The TRULY good players just carry the noobs patiently without a word of complaint, because they were there once themselves.

작성자: Mute 000 8/12/2015 6:30:53 PMFirst off, you're lumping everything together as 1 thing. There are 2 types of people out there doing raids. 1) Those that are 33/34+ and stomping through them to get the weapon/armor they havent lucked on yet after a million raids and 2) Those that have not stomped through the raids and/or not leveled up. It is important when people post or LFG for a raid party or group to join that they make this clear. The same thing goes for POE, etc. It's just a simple fact that there are 2 different types of raiders out there and the first group is beyond sick of grinding in Destiny and no longer willing to do horrible grinds that can last hours on end. There is no reason for your lecture or hate. That problem really rests on Bungie and the resolve isn't to punish the "already tired of the grind because the content is limited and redundant" players (such as with the gally, icebreaker, black hammer and shotty nerfs), but for them to adjust things better in a way with weekly events or something that would remove some of the repetitivness of the game. They don't mix it up enough for us. Waiting months for a new DLC isn't enough. Nerfing everything to make it harder is the opposite of what they should be doing.. 1) it'll make it even worse for you guys trying to go through the first or second time or whatever. 2) it'll make the experienced players even LESS willing to pull lower ranked players through. There are still thousands upon thousands of people out there willing to pull people through. Also, I've seen some pretty damn stupid comments in this thread. For example, If a group is putting together a raid and needs a Defender Titan or a Hunter with Khepri's Sting or Blade Dancer (for invisibility needs) or a Warlock (for self res needs), there are damn good reasons why they are asking for a specific class. If you can't understand that then just move on to the next raid or group looking for people. Also, my suggestion is for you to use LFG more and the Destiny forums less.

8 답변Excuse me, but why should I teach or carry some kid or random, after 40+ Raid completions you really think I desire to whipe and spend -blam!-ing 3-4 hrs on a single raid? Especially VOG when 34's can dominate? That is just such a waste of time. I am no elitist, I give no -blam!-s about weapon use as long as the job gets done. But when I say, don't use rockets cause someone will kill themselves, and they do, every -blam!-ing time, it wears short on my patience. Either get gud, or stop trying to join good groups. Simple.

I personally try to only do raids with teams that haven't done the raid before. It's more challenging for me, it's more fun because the team actually communicates instead of silently thrashing the raid and I get to run relic/sword every time. If you're not willing to teach, then you're trying too hard. The raids aren't that difficult. Have some patience.

I remember doing normal Vog when it came out for the first time. No one had gally no one had max weapons all of us where level 26 or 27 most of us where using all blue weapons or only one legendary but we got it done so this 34 max weapons only really does just need to stop.

This brand of elitism isn't unique to Destiny, and it certainly isn't new. In any loot-driven cooperative game, you're going to find players who are so hyper-objective-focused that they forget the game is supposed to be fun, and they instead treat it like a chore that they habitually do for some reason. It's a shame, but it's the reality, and I honestly feel like Destiny is specifically designed to attract these kinds of players. It sucks that there's such a barrier to do the cooperative end-game stuff in Destiny, but all you really can do is find some people who are just looking to have fun and form relationships with them. Ultimately, lfg forums are a very poor solution for much-needed functions in this game.

2 답변Fair or not, I'm just not sure how everyone doesn't have 3 level 34 characters by now.

6 답변Auto-match would have solved HALF the problems on Destiny! I still cannot believe it's been left out. It's idiocy.

The problem is that being OP'd allows people who don't know good strategy to still overcome the problem. A team of 34s with max Gjallarhorns can kill Atheon on 1 teleport. So, they can get away with being a poor player because they minimize their exposure.

3 답변You're just late to the party bro. People want to get this stuff done as quick as possible because we've all done these activities so many times that at this point most people are just doing it to farm for a particular item they don't have yet. For me doing the raids, now that I've done them many times, is about efficiency and getting it done. I don't care enough at this point to struggle with several wipes at a certain part of the raid because one or two fire team members can't pull their weight. I'm mainly PVP focused and I want to get back to that. As far as Trials goes, I hate losing, so unless you're my friend or clan mate, I don't want you on my team if you're just going to be an anchor
