This is the first time I've ever really posted to a forum...but there is just something wrong to me with the way people look for other people regarding raids/trials/PoE.
This notion occurred to me a few weeks ago as I was going to start looking for raids to run my (at the time) lvl 30 Warlock and lvl 32 Titan through. As I sat there, shifting through different groups on Bungie's group forums to find a group, I began to notice a trend...
This wasn't just one of your "oh, OK, I guess that's reasonable and makes sense" trends, it was more of a "I want to do this as quickly as possible, no newbs, no scrubs, no little kids, I'm awesome and you suck" type of trends...
To get to the point, why does anyone need a group of six lvl 34 players with max 365 gally's and other max weapons to run normal friggin VoG, and why is that the requirement? The notion in itself is ridiculous.
Furthermore, its not like they were the only people requesting something to that extent. I saw others like normal Crota, and 32/34 PoE demanding the same level of players...meanwhile you have kids on there that are just begging you to take their lvl 29 into normal VoG. Since when has anyone NEEDED this kind of level or equipment to run these raids? IMO, if you need that, you're worse than the lvl 29 just trying to get into the raid.
To be clear, we were all running VoG and Crota on both normal AND hard before level 34 was ever available. We were running VoG on normal AND hard before lvl 32 was ever available for that fact. So again, I ask, why is it a requirement to be lvl 34 with 365 gally and other max weaps to run normal VoG? My answer, it shouldn't be and you're pathetic for demanding that.
I run raids because I like to run them, I enjoy them, and I enjoy them when they're challenging. Sure, I get frustrated sometimes, everyone does when you've been stuck on an event for three hours, but we've all been there. But this fact that someone who can't get into a raid because they aren't 34 or at least 32+ is ignoramus (ha-ha, big werdz).
What level were you when you ran your first raid with your first character? I bet you weren't a lvl 34 badass with 365 gally and max weaps with all the experience to run the raid backwards and blindfolded. No, like me you were probably some lvl 27 Hunter/Titan/Warlock begging some group of people to take you along for the ride.
In closing, and in short the point of my, let's say rant, here is...
Quit being stuck up and lazy, when you select the raid it shows you the RECOMMENDED level for the raid so why not start there in posting what level you "need".
Secondly, remember where you started, and show a little compassion for that 10 year old kid who's looking for a raid, yeah I know they can get annoying, but what does it say about you being a twenty something elitist prick to that 10 year old kid? You feel like a big shot after talking smack over the internet? How adult of you.
Thirdly, have fun, there's is no reason I should need to listen to you throw your damn controller across the room because, *gasp* we didn't down Crota the first time *gasp*.
And finally, let's help the little guy out, its not gonna kill you to carry someone every once in a while, there's no need to post that you NEED a "level 34+ with max gally and weaps and God mode unlocked and better work for the developers because I want my lewtz from this raid, you suck insta-kick" that stuffs just dumb.
The same goes for those of you demanding flawless for trials. I bet you weren't always flawless, in fact, I KNOW you weren't, and for you to be all "well they should try harder and do trials more and meh my panties are too tight, elitist elitist lewtz, sniffle". How the hell do you expect them to, for one, go flawless if they are constantly fighting groups of flawless people and for two even get to the point of playing if all you're requiring is them to be flawless, stop being dumb and apply some intelligence to your request.
To those of you haters that are gonna be all "meh, your just saying this because you suck, bleh bleh bleh". Get something straight, I have 3 lvl 34's, all with gally and other various max weaps, and most of you would be envious for what gear I have just sitting in my vault. Additionally I am always willing to help carry anyone as long as I am available and they put the group together.
End rant.

It still amazes me that there are players out there that still don't get how the damage works on this game.I avoid all groups like that and just either make my own or respond to the guy who posted 'fresh vog hard - need 5' (On a side note I posted I need 2 people for NF last night....nothing.So i solo up to the boss then post again,I'm still getting friend requests :/ )

As I don't have time to spend copious hours on skolas. So yes I need a top tier player to do the top tier end game challenge

Its funny I read a little bit then got bored but The other day there was a 29 looking for VoG hard on forums, I invited him in. A couple more people got in and straight after I invite some new guys in they say why is there a level 29 here. Wtf we did it as a 29 full team ages ago. I will happily take a full team of 29s through VoG hard if I could find one instead of a full team of stuck up 33/34s.

I am kind of like this... I do normal Crota duo with my brother up to Crota himself before we find people and I don't set a level requirement but I do ask that your rockets have tracking? Is this fair? It is rather easy to get a rocket launcher with tracking. I don't even care if it's a rare rocket launcher as long as it can put out damage consistently on Crota then I'm good with it. Also I was 34 with max gally when I did my first raid :( I did however join after HoW dropped which made 34 super easy to get to and I never had the time to do it with my friends before( got gally as first exotic from Poe on second character)

If you want true experienced players, ask for people with raid weapons, as they help during the raids. I do understand people wanting to do it fast and get it over with if you hunt for say the Vex. But just me 30+ as it's capped. Why nobody accepts newer ones... no idea

작성자: KKorrupt 8/12/2015 12:23:17 PMRaids just get too repetitive for me now, I feel like I've done both VoG and Crota at least 5 times on normal and like once or twice on hard. I just don't get the point anymore, haha. But I do see your point and you're right, no reason to demand a six man sweaty lobby just to go defeat a level 26 raid. I'm curious to see whether this will extend over to Patrol as well. "Hey guys, I'm trying to run some patrol on Mars. Only lvl 34's allowed with max Fatebringer, Blackhammer and Gally. Don't meet those requirements gtfo".
Guardian Down
2 답변Completely agreed just because I don't have gally I still have truth and truth is great they need to stop picking on me just because I'm 10 and I don't have gally because one way to get it is from doing those raids and Poe and trials

You know ive replied to some of those posts and the funniest thing happens. 9 out of 10 time the poster isnt even the requirements they ask for. So many of these people want to be carried through not even realizing they are singling put the people that could help.

I think people just forget. The raids are set up to enforce down-leveling. As a level 34, you see how much damage you still take in a normal VoG, and you assume that lower levels are going to take more damage, even though that's not the case.

It flowed well, had appropriate paragraph breaks and was largely devoid of glaring grammatical errors which make so many posts on here impossible to finish. As for the content, I couldn't agree more. Full disclosure though, I'm considerably more biased. I've only done a full VOG run one time (I don't do DLCs, so VOG is the only raid-like activity available). But when I did get on to recruit a team, it took like 2 hours! Presumably because i was upfront and said something like "hey, I'm looking for help learning VOG, I've never done it before..." Eventually I got a group of 4 together and one of the kids in the fireteam says "I'll recruit 2 more.........ok, 'must be 34-' and I said "I don't know of that's fair considering I'm a only 32, and have zero experience". So he goes "ok, fine. 'Must be 32'. Hmmmm....'maxed gally required' ". And I piped up again; "ummm, again I hardly think that's fair when I don't have one". I'm fairly certain I almost got kicked at this point but thankfully another guy spoke up and said "yeah, me either. And I've run it dozens of times without one just fine" So, we gathered two more "scrubs" who didn't even have a gjallerhorn and did the raid. But for me, it was a loss. Everyone was in such a hurry to rush through that I learned absolutely nothing. An hour later I'm standing in the empty vault going "what the hell just happened?"
