I know I'm going to get a bunch of grief from some of you out there, but oh well.
How can you not be excited for TTK??
After reading articles and watching some of the interviews, man I'm pumped for TTK.
I was really bummed at first with hearing the negatives from the forums but I think most of that comes from players who don't like the grind. Me personally I love the grind. I'll be the first to admit I'm not a day one player but I will say this game is what brought me back to gaming from a 5yr hiatus. Just bcuz I didn't experience the glitches or issues you day one players did doesn't mean my frustrations with the game are less real.
Bungie IS listening. They won't be able to appease every single player, as you can well see in these forums, some are really high maintenance.
I can't wait to see what's coming.

I have been playing since day one and I am hyped whenever they put out a new weekly update. Destiny is a great game. The problem is that to many people came into the game expecting it to be the most axing game ever, and were disappointed when it wasn't. It is a fun game to play with friends. Too many people just like to complain about what ever they can find and think they are entitled to make changes to the game based on what they think. Many people are unhappy that they have to grind for certain things and then complain about it on the forums. What I don't understand is why would you keep playing and complain about it if you are unhappy with the game. Just stop playing.

23 답변작성자: Kone19ps 8/10/2015 8:22:28 PMIt's not that we don't think it's improved its that it hasn't improved enough for its price tag and many things that day one players thought would be patched in due to the game being unfinished we are now having to pay for. On top of that progression pretty much resets with taken king which wasn't expected by many. These combined have jaded day one players tremendously. Basically we paid a premium price to beta test destiny for this upcoming release and now we are not happy. Especially because we barely even get a digital thank you. An emblem or two maybe a cosmetic item but everything else we worked for is basically gone now. I wouldn't be surprised if very soon or at least by destiny 2 the jackolytes I've been saving for an occasion won't work anymore without warning. That's basically the problem. Very few expected the wow type weapon progression where everything gets left behind and bungie is far from stable or in a reasonable turn over timeframe (only a few months per expansion). A lot of people are questioning what's the point of even continuing to play if we have almost nothing to show for it. And I agree. No fun is not enough because the fun is in building your guardian not replaying the content for the 300th time. Destiny is work and hard work to make your guardian the legend you want and we are basically losing all of it because the character builder is so shallow. Our attachment is to our gear not our character like other mmos. Hope that clarifies for you. Basically my attitude and I think it's shared by many is we were lied to to buy destiny. We stuck through all its many problems compounded by each expansion. And now right as we are getting news the game is being improved dramatically, we are also finding out the vast majority of what made our guardians ours and special to us is being left behind. None of us really trust bungie to not just continue the trend where each expansion negates progress regardless of the games improvements. I feel like a lot of people are going to be stuck where I am. They don't want to buy taken king yet, but bungie makes it so not getting it severely impacts our playtime, such as the timed preorder exclusive suros and Hakke packs. Waiting for the price to drop likely won't happen till about this time next year so now I have to decide. Pay the premium for dlc and keep up with destiny. Or pay a price close to the actual value with a few months left on the year which will be rendered obsolete with year 3. Seems to me destiny is embracing the grind fully and doesn't really intend to have us really become legend personally. Just a new hamster each year with no real attachment to the games past legacy

2 답변Bungie has been mum on most of the mechanics and specific stats about TTK. How big is the Dreadnought. How will gear levels and light work? What's this about no ascension but "don't dismatle your stuff yet" also floating around? Other games flesh out these details beforehand and often earlier before release than Bungie has. Take Fallout 4. Here's what we know because they told us: -Leveling, perks, and skills. All the info is out in the wild already. -NPC interaction and how dialogue works is already explained. Also, we know how many Companion NPCs there are. -Guns. We know there are around 50 of them with 700 mods each. -Map size. We know the world is around the same size as Skyrim in explorable real estate. These tidbits of information do not ruin the release of a game and actually build positive hype. Fallout 4 is out in three months, TTk in one month. I know more about Fallout 4 than I do about TTK. TL;DR: Not enough info from Bungie. Not TTK's problem, just the same problem Bungie has had since Destiny's launch.

I think a large portion of the community is upset because of the feeling of being cheated as year 1 players. "Year 2" players will get all of the DLC and the game for 60 bucks. And everyone who has everything else has to pay 40 for TTK. So doing the math... 140 dollars for year 1 players and 60 for year 2. That's the reason for the frustration

I am very much so. .. juiced. If you will. I think people get angry when they spend hours trying to get bungie to incorporate their ideas when bungie only wants the good ones. So then people start making accusations that bungie doesn't listen. .. This forum is intelligent. Meaning bungie put it here to help their creative ideas flow. When their stuck, they read your ideas to help unblock their trouble. It has nothing to do with what you guys actually want hahaha. They are going to do what they want to do.

3 답변How? Simple.... 1. Many people don't "get" the difference between being **skeptical** of advertising claims....and being **cynical**. Cynicism is the fast-and-easy. You just decide that everyone and everything but you "sucks"...and you don't actually have to be discerning. Skeptics understand that there are somethings I can't trust....but some things I can....and that is my job to sort out which are which. 2. You are a process-player who is INTERNALLY-motivated (so am I). Youre statemnt "I Love the Grind". You love it for itself. Not just for what you can get at the end of it. Unfortunately, a (at times) shocking percentage of players around here are clearly, and seeming purely externally-motivated. That is they can't enjoy somethinig----or see any point to doing it----unless they get some sort of tangible reward for it. But like you, I'm excited about what I'm hearing....and you're right. Bungie simply insn't going make many of these people happy, no matter what they do. They are so self-absorbed and so entitlted...that Bungie could walk on water...and they'd bitch about it "not being far enough".

I am excited for new content yes. I am excited that levels are no longer tied to gear. I am not excited about the price. I am not excited that old gear will basically be useless. I am not excited that there will still no longer be matchmaking for endgame stuff.

2 답변작성자: Soulink 8/12/2015 3:38:27 PMLol you are so not ready for what your in for. So naive, so fresh! Advice: You haven't sinked into the game enough to really be reading these forums. They're toxic to newcomers so don't let it cloud the judgment. Make your own opinion. Keep going! Oh and YouTube : Bdobbinsftw

6 답변작성자: xxDAMRONxx 8/12/2015 3:19:17 PMIt's all marketing that has you excited. I'm going off experience. Oh yea, the "new raid" should have been in HoW, but everyone forgot about that

3 답변Thank you! And they tend to implement many things the community asks for. For which the community responds by ignoring that they asked for these things in the first place, or by complaining about them

2 답변I remember being excited and pumped about destiny before it got out. That's called marketing

1 답변That's what they are trying to do. More hype, more pre-orders. They did it before. We all pumped after E3 2013 when we heard "Openworld experience etc." and do you know what we get at the end? A BETA!!! Don't believe their lies, don't ever pre-order any game.

1 답변Uhm. The fact that I'm paying for stuff that should have already been in the game? Would you be excited the dealership is finally going to actually give you wheels for your honda accord after selling you the car last year without telling you it didn't have them? Fool me once, shame on me (destiny Vanilla) Fool me twice, shame on me (season pass) Fool me three times, no -blam!-in way. Eat shit bungle. (TTK)

4 답변I used to get excited but I've lost that loving feeling after last 2 dry humps to my ass.

2 답변Yeah, be excited for reskinned armor and weapons. Be excited for more sub par, minimal content. Be excited you're paying another 40 bucks for what should have in the game at launch. Be excited for mediocrity in its base form. I'll save the money thanks.
-
Why would I be excited for the fourth time the weapons and gear systems have changed? On a game that had 5 years to develop and has a 10 year plan? So I can grind weapons again? No thanks. That's not fun to me. I played the beta, bought the limited edition so I got the first 2 dlc's with the purchase of the original game and wanted badly for this game to succeed. The gunplay is great. But its sad that the dragonborn dlc for Skyrim had more content then all of Destiny. I can't continue to support this game. Glad someone is excited though.

I was stoked for the release of Destiny. Since launch, It has been a string of continuous let downs. As for me being hyped up for TTK, you know the old saying, "fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me". Not saying I won't eventually get it, I just can't get excited about it.
-
You have every reason to be excited....and I'm right there with you. There's a ton to look forward to with TTK. Is Destiny perfect? Absolutely not. But this game has kept my attention longer than any game I can remember. Just ignore the haters out there. Many people have some very legitimate complaints, but there's equally as many who are just looking for any reason to bash Destiny. Best thing I've found is to just ignore them.......or read their posts for a good laugh. Bracing myself for the "you're just a fanboy" comments. *grabs popcorn*

1 답변A lot of people were excited before Destiny originally launched almost a year ago. However, we all soon realized that we were sold a lot of hype and promises instead of an actual quality game.
