TTK Character Levels

Apparently it was confirmed by IGN during the DeeJ interview that you will be a level 34 in TTK if your light level is 34 is what you will start at? Did I hear that right?

Its around 4:20 I believe is when he starts talking about levels. Its also worth watching the whole thing.
According to some people you will start at lvl 20. Others say you will start at your current light level. Only time will tell.
Edit: Bungie can you please clarify if we start at are current level which is 20 or start at are current light level which is 34 or below? Some people are confused. I took it as we start at are light level 34 that would be converted to exp to level 34.
Edit: Changed the title so people don't get confused.
Edit: I'm not expecting to start at lvl 34 on any of my characters. I would prefer to start at lvl 20. Doesn't really matter to me. Gonna play the game either way.

Edit: Its been confirmed. You do not get reset to level 20. If your a light level 34, your level will be adjusted to level 34 when you boot up TTK. It was confirmed in the latest IGN Fireteam Chat.

Plant Destiny said this on Twitter today: ICYMI: Your level will not be reset. If you're 34 now, you'll be 34 in TTK, even if you remove your armor before 9/15.

34 답변You'll be starting off as a 20, as that is your real level. Because if you take off all your armor with no light, you'll only be 20. So light levels are irrelevant

3 답변But you can only be level 34 with gear, our actual character is level 20 I thought? So wouldn't we start at level 20 since they said gear and light won't be the deciding factor in leveling?

So you get one free ticket if you were max level to hit 34 again. Edit: It's a one time consumable to bring any character to 34. ^ he's absolutely right Whatever level you are at the start of the taken king you'll start there. Yes light is going away and they will NOT make you start from level 20 - let me reiterate: light level is still in weapons and armor and adds up to a certain amount. Your level won't decrease if you take off armor or said guns but you'll still need it to do high difficulty tasks, I'm guessing this is their way of letting us have our own look armor wise but switch it all up for different situations.

2 답변Idk why people think it's going to be different, they're not going to take away our level progress. We have still been earning experience it just doesn't go towards our levels right now
