TTK Character Levels

Apparently it was confirmed by IGN during the DeeJ interview that you will be a level 34 in TTK if your light level is 34 is what you will start at? Did I hear that right?

Its around 4:20 I believe is when he starts talking about levels. Its also worth watching the whole thing.
According to some people you will start at lvl 20. Others say you will start at your current light level. Only time will tell.
Edit: Bungie can you please clarify if we start at are current level which is 20 or start at are current light level which is 34 or below? Some people are confused. I took it as we start at are light level 34 that would be converted to exp to level 34.
Edit: Changed the title so people don't get confused.
Edit: I'm not expecting to start at lvl 34 on any of my characters. I would prefer to start at lvl 20. Doesn't really matter to me. Gonna play the game either way.

Edit: Its been confirmed. You do not get reset to level 20. If your a light level 34, your level will be adjusted to level 34 when you boot up TTK. It was confirmed in the latest IGN Fireteam Chat.

Plant Destiny said this on Twitter today: ICYMI: Your level will not be reset. If you're 34 now, you'll be 34 in TTK, even if you remove your armor before 9/15.

I'm on the fence either way....I am curious how the Prison of Elders and Raids will work as far as being able to complete them if you are bumped back to level 20. Seems messed up that there will be activities that you can't complete that you've already paid for. I can't wait to see how they handle that scenario. I will add that I am aware of the fact that you will have a boost for one of your characters to compete at the level of TTK content. What about the other two if you already have them at level 34?

3 답변Sooo I wonder if I'm staying @34 and it seemed like Deej let everyone know that we get this XP boost in the tower? Correct? Pre ordering the collectors edition which also gives you a class item with XP boost... I'm kinda lost here... Am I getting double XP? I mean regardless with an XP boost to go 6 lvls shouldn't be hard or take long at all.

I think it would be cool if oryx manipulated the light in your gear to try and mess with you so the vanguard tells us to stop relying on light infused gear. That would explain the light level going away all of a sudden

4 답변Light level will still be there however just represent the power of your armor. I think you will be 34 with light level but still have to go from 20-40 with normal levels

I watched, but why does it seem as though Deej doesn't actually say you start at level 34 if your light level is 34. Fran says it twice, but the answer seems a little fuzzy. Wouldn't it make just as much sense to start at level 20? Anyway, I don't care much either way.

And a small goat companion walks next to you during the story ocassionally headbutting your leg and mainly eating plants you come across. True story. The speculation hype train is ridiculous. Bungie will formally confirm what they are and aren't doing nearer the time. Presumably in the form of shitty videos with annoying streamers squealing in joy.

Let me explain something people. Just because your character level max will be increased does not some how mean that your progress will be lessened, just that you will be able to further tack on more levels through experience gain instead of light.

1 답변If people would pay attention deej said it all himself. As a 34 you will go in as a 34, as a 27 you will be brought up to get to the taken kings lowest playable level. If you are even lower they are going to be giving a free passage to every guardian that can raise even a new character up to the base level cap for the taken king. What the level is deej couldn't say, 34s might have an advantage because it might only bring a level 27 to like level 30 or 32. He couldn't release that info

Also. Since they are getting rid of light level, deej said that light level will be used for your attack and defense stats now. As in since light doesn't matter a light level 24 might be brought up to a base level of 30 with no light. If you get my drift. You can be level 40 with all white amour, just really really low attack and defense
