TTK Character Levels

Apparently it was confirmed by IGN during the DeeJ interview that you will be a level 34 in TTK if your light level is 34 is what you will start at? Did I hear that right?

Its around 4:20 I believe is when he starts talking about levels. Its also worth watching the whole thing.
According to some people you will start at lvl 20. Others say you will start at your current light level. Only time will tell.
Edit: Bungie can you please clarify if we start at are current level which is 20 or start at are current light level which is 34 or below? Some people are confused. I took it as we start at are light level 34 that would be converted to exp to level 34.
Edit: Changed the title so people don't get confused.
Edit: I'm not expecting to start at lvl 34 on any of my characters. I would prefer to start at lvl 20. Doesn't really matter to me. Gonna play the game either way.

Edit: Its been confirmed. You do not get reset to level 20. If your a light level 34, your level will be adjusted to level 34 when you boot up TTK. It was confirmed in the latest IGN Fireteam Chat.

Plant Destiny said this on Twitter today: ICYMI: Your level will not be reset. If you're 34 now, you'll be 34 in TTK, even if you remove your armor before 9/15.

2 답변No I think that if you are Light Level 34, you will be able to start straight away at Exp level 34. The only thing I don't think Deej made very clear, was what was the minimum level required to start the activity. This interview was probably one of the less evasive I have seen from Deej, he actually told us quite a bit. Hopefully this continues

8 답변You misunderstood. DeeJ said you will stay at your current level (which is 20 for a max level player). DeeJ said your light level will still matter and missions will have a "light level" recommendation on top of a level requirement. DeeJ said there is a single "booster" per account to make one character the "minimum required level" for TTK.

With the TTK is a buff that will bring a single toon to current level. I think everyone assumed it was to catch new players up... but after reading the ideas here i'm not sure...maybe it is because they are knocking all of us down to 20 but we can use the buff to bring a toon back to 34... just food for thought...

3 답변IMO, yes and no. You will have a xp boost to get up to TTK level for missions, but you will be level 20, except light level 34, which is recommended for TTK missions. Once you reach level 40, armor and weapons will boost light level so you reach recommended light levels for activities. I think everyone will have to grind to 40 but light level plays a factor in mission difficulty.

Seemed pretty clear to me that deej said we would transition from our current light level to the equivalent exp level. And that the light level of our gear would still matter as a requirement to enter missions and such.

I have one big problem believing we are starting at 34 until it's in writing from Bungie - how very vague Deej's answers were. More specifically and more importantly, he suggested that he doesn't really know where the TTK level boost lands you and wouldn't put a number on what level TTK begins. He even said they are likely still tinkering and he didn't want to speak too soon. So.... I have no idea.

2 답변People are taking away from this that they will be whatever level they currently are and disregarding the part where DeeJ says that your light will now be a combination of your attack and defense ratings and that missions will have a recommended light level. To me this sounds like it is a new paint job over the same system. You can be level 40 and not have a high enough rating to complete some content and so you will still have to grind for gear that gets you close enough to the recommended light.

7 답변He never directly says 34, he says you start at the level you're at. That could mean light level, level 20, or your prestige level. Sneaky deej

1 답변If you DONT want to be level 34 in TTK just equip some blue armor before it launches, drop to level 20 then download it. That way you can level your character up 20 levels if that's what you want

13 답변It makes 0 sense that youd start 6 levels from the cap. In game currently you ARE a level 20, you're only 34 because of the armor you wear

5 답변Also confirmed that if u arent leveld enough you will get this consumable that bumps you to the needed level to play ttk content. Also confirmed bungie are asshats. Now i have a reason for this. They said they didnt want to ahit all over the player progression we went through in year one, but they are shitting on it anyway between the consumable, and not allowing weapons and armor to carry over, now i could see maybe the weapons, but dont -blam!- with my armor man, thats not cool.

10 답변The xp won't take a lot of time. Get the DLC xp armband. Get a focused light. Do nightfall. Open 20 public event packages and store 10 5000xp bounties. Open them all on 3rd subclass. If all our factions stay at Thor current level and aren't zero'ed out then roll them over too for new armor/weapons
