TTK Character Levels

Apparently it was confirmed by IGN during the DeeJ interview that you will be a level 34 in TTK if your light level is 34 is what you will start at? Did I hear that right?

Its around 4:20 I believe is when he starts talking about levels. Its also worth watching the whole thing.
According to some people you will start at lvl 20. Others say you will start at your current light level. Only time will tell.
Edit: Bungie can you please clarify if we start at are current level which is 20 or start at are current light level which is 34 or below? Some people are confused. I took it as we start at are light level 34 that would be converted to exp to level 34.
Edit: Changed the title so people don't get confused.
Edit: I'm not expecting to start at lvl 34 on any of my characters. I would prefer to start at lvl 20. Doesn't really matter to me. Gonna play the game either way.

Edit: Its been confirmed. You do not get reset to level 20. If your a light level 34, your level will be adjusted to level 34 when you boot up TTK. It was confirmed in the latest IGN Fireteam Chat.

Plant Destiny said this on Twitter today: ICYMI: Your level will not be reset. If you're 34 now, you'll be 34 in TTK, even if you remove your armor before 9/15.

There was no confirmation of anything. The only thing DeeJ said is that if you're *by example* level 26, the minimum for running VOG Normal, you're good to go for TTK. What he did confirm is that they don't have a hard number to announce as of yet, as it's still being finalized. TTK isn't gold for another 38 days guys, they still have some things to work out.

1 답변I mean he purposely avoided completely answering the question. The guy asked if he was 26 if he'd be level 26 and DeeJ said he'd be "good to go" and that's it. Not exactly an answer haha

3 답변Charlemagne already confirmed that whatever level you're at when TTK drops, that's the level you will be. 32's will be 32. 25's will be 25. Etc.

9 답변Here's what I think. Currently we are all level 20, with a light level of 34 (If you are a level 34). With the release of a The Taken King, light is no longer a level, but a stat. I believe that when The Taken King is released, we will all be level 20 with 168 Light (42 x 4). The light will change how much damage our abilities do. Just my prediction.

If you're 34, you'll be locked into that level, and progress all the way to 40. If you are below 34, you will get a special item(everyone will) that will boost you up to a certain level. And that level is yet to be revealed. They don't want to tell us what that level will be, but they also don't want new players to have to start from the very beginning of the game to get to enjoy TTK.

2 답변I'm wondering how long it's going to take to level up at the higher levels. Will people grind for two days and be maxed out or will they need to play for weeks and weeks?
