Edit: This is not an argument about age, but about maturity and approach to gaming. If you don't like the idea of weapons being replaced quit now and don't buy TTK. It will just happen again next year.
Genuinely interested to know if all the complaining is coming from a particular part of the community.
I would have thought the more mature gamers would care less about the loss of year one gear and welcome the changes, where as less mature (NOT IMMATURE) gamers feel otherwise.
Edit: It seems most people are welcoming of the changes. It also seems to come down to how much you've played the game.
I totally get if you've put 1500-2000 hours in and relentless grinded to get that elusive gun, but no one forced you to do it. You are an architect of your own downfall and if the changes aren't to your liking then just stop now and shelve Destiny, because it will happen again next year.

1 답변I was looking in my vault last night thinking about making room for all the new toys. I'd feel better about it if I didn't need to get rid of some of my lesser used exotics just to make space for new guns. I'm hopeful they do something about the vault issues. Outside of that I don't really care. I'd like to be able to keep my exotics, my raid weapons, and my iron banner weapons. I'll shard the rest no worries. I'll miss my badger but I'll throw it in the garbage in a heartbeat for new gear.

I'm just cautious that the new stuff won't be better than the current. Like it wasn't with tdb and how. Hopefully I will be proved wrong there and we can move forward with new stuff for 12 months but Bungie don't have a good track record when it comes to this so we will see.

Destiny isn't exactly overflowing with stuff to do, so it's not just about the gear, it's the activities associated with obtaining that gear. DLC and expansions are supposed to make a game bigger and better, and making activities obsolete is the opposite of that. A fine solution to this issue would be if the Devs finally got around to raising the difficulty slider for the current endgame activities AND ALSO had only those higher activities drop the loot with the new higher stats.

I'm older.. and I do NOT support this latest decision. You want me to use year 2 guns? That's fine just give me the option to use them. Do not force change on me and we all know they keep making weapons weaker so they won't be building a better Fatebringer, for example.

3 답변My only issue is the waffling. First it was going to be this way. Then it wasn't. Then it was again.

If invested probably 300 hours into the game. Which may not be much but it sure feels like a lot. Anyhow...I am looking forward to the changes to come in the Taken King. Regardless of our old weapons/armor becoming relics. Which in my mind is perfectly fine and must happen for progress to make way. I'm accustomed to (to some of you it's not a MMO and that's fine too) the MMO aspects of Destiny. In WoW before the first expansion I had countless hours invested and a ridiculous amount of epics and raid gear I spent so many nights farming. Then they all became useless literally within the first few quests. Anyway...my two cents worth. See ya'll in game!

I can say I both like and hate the new system. I like the direction they are taking and they way they are making year two a new experience. But, I think your grind for year one should have some impact on your year two status. It doesn't seem fair that stuff you found just becomes obsolete.

2 답변I think so. I've put as much time as anybody into this game and have everything upgraded, I mean everything even duplicates and I don't see it as a waste. The new players will never experience what we experienced this year. They will hear stories of the fate bringer and the black hammer but they will never know.

1 답변Good sir, if you want me to be honest, I preordered the $40.00 digital Taken King off the Xbox Store just so I could get new SUROS weapons right off the bat. I want to start Year Two fresh, with new primaries instead of Floorscrubber I mean Fatebringer. I have high hopes for Taken King. I do. Losing my Legendaries? Most of them didn't matter.

작성자: GHOST 9o5 8/7/2015 1:05:25 AMI don't really care for weapons. I only really care about armor. Bungie is removing a lot of variety by getting rid of previous gear.... People should be able to go wear VoG, Vanguard, or anything they really want. Defense values for legendarys should just be dropped. Up above is what I think should happen to legendary armor.

I am looking forward to the changes and am used to older gear being eclipsed by newer gear. any person that has ever played any RPG be it an MMO or standard RPG knows that you will always be replacing your gear with better more powerful gear.

1 답변Just a thought but why not create new OP guns that will have better options than old weapons. I think it shows a lack of imagination/creativity on Bungies part.

2 답변I'm actually looking forward to playing with new weapons. I was kind of disappointed that you could ascend your old gear in HoW. Destiny should be a constantly changing game to keep it fresh. It would be boring to play with the same gear all the time.
