Edit: This is not an argument about age, but about maturity and approach to gaming. If you don't like the idea of weapons being replaced quit now and don't buy TTK. It will just happen again next year.
Genuinely interested to know if all the complaining is coming from a particular part of the community.
I would have thought the more mature gamers would care less about the loss of year one gear and welcome the changes, where as less mature (NOT IMMATURE) gamers feel otherwise.
Edit: It seems most people are welcoming of the changes. It also seems to come down to how much you've played the game.
I totally get if you've put 1500-2000 hours in and relentless grinded to get that elusive gun, but no one forced you to do it. You are an architect of your own downfall and if the changes aren't to your liking then just stop now and shelve Destiny, because it will happen again next year.

4 답변작성자: Vysi 8/8/2015 6:40:53 AMI think the reason why people are reluctant to let go of their old weapons is because the weapons got progressively worse as the expansions released. Many of the top tier guns are from the original game. Fatebringer and Vision were many people's first choice for upgrading with Etheric light. TDB had ok weapons, but HoW weapons are awful. I can't name any guns from HoW that I regularly use. Hopefully TTK brings us weapons actually worth giving up our old gear for

I have no problem with Bungie forcing me to use new guns and forcing me to play a certain way. I do have a problem with them forcing me to get rid of old stuff just so i have enough space for new stuff. I am a collector. Thats the reason i play destiny. I have no problem with putting my Fatebringer away for a better gun. But thats only IF i still get to keep the fatebringer. I can see something like this decreasing play time for people. It will no long be worth grinding for new guns if they are just gonna go out of style in the next couple months. This mentality is why i still have a 360 and games for it despite the Xone being the newer and better console. I may never use my 360 again, but the point is that it will still be there if i decide to take a trip down memory road

2 답변I like choices. Bungie doesn't like giving them to us. I'm excited for the new weapons, and don't overly care about the loss of the year one weapon domination. But it's just another example of Bungie telling us how to play their game, rather than enabling us to play it however we wish.

I makes sense to leave the old weapons behind. When I got my psi tempus from the gold chest on earth I loved it. Used it for about 5 levels, but then I had to use better gear because that's how games lke this work. Now we're going to level 40 the same rules should apply. The old stuff becomes nostalgia and the new stuff takes over.

The problem here is: - bungie already created the best possible weapons for every class. Every new weapon has to be copy or needs even better perks. Otherwise it would only feel like you sacrifice fun weapons for just more damage - if bungie would create new weapons with a: a decent drop chance in pve unlike poe b: that can compete with old weapon people would automatically use them and there would be no need to not let us ascend the old stuff. It would get mixed up anyways The only reason to leave old stuff behind is that they are incapable of creating good new stuff

I only feel betrayed because in HoW we upgraded our favourite weapons and now it was useless But at the same time im more than happy that i dont will see anymore: Use this, use that, use the legendary that everyone use I love my Radegasts Fury and i will really miss it but hey there will be a new one and it will take his place soooo... Let me grind another 800 hours

It's not that I mind the changes, it's that I mind being forced into using what they want us to use, which is the newest weapons that we pay for. Looking at the current newest weapons from House of Wolves, it doesn't really give me hope that the weapons I have relied on for the majority of year one (95% of them from the raids and pre-HoW) will no longer be effective going forward. Now these new Taken King weapons might be awesome and better than everything in Year One, and I really do hope so, but considering weapons that dropped in the Prison of Elders contained perks such as Dreg and Shank burn as 1 of 2 main perks, I have my reservations. I would have preferred a way to transition from trusted weapons into new ones, maybe through a quest system to evolve and modify them into something new so it doesn't feel like you wasted all that time grinding for a specific weapon.

3 답변작성자: AscendantBarrin 8/8/2015 10:40:51 AMI'm ok with not being able to carry weapons but they need to deliver if they are taking away old ones. You can't wipe out the previous 200 or so then bring in 250 but 235 of them are garbage.

2 답변I'm genuinely bummed about it but I'm not going to sit and bitch on the forums about it.

Don't care about the price (obviously if it's incredibly expensive I won't get it, but destiny so far has cost me 50 in total), nerfs, drop rate, ie basically everything complained about in forums, as long as it is fun to play. Who gives a shit if a gun becomes bad? You'll get better ones. I'm 17 btw if that helps your survey

2 답변1) Destiny isn't an MMO, even though it shares minor common denominators. 2) Non-MMO games don't usually dump weapons, not even on new-releases. They have a certain set of weapons that are expected to work a certain way. 3) Look at Halo, AR/BR/DMR and pocket sniper (aka Magnum) has been in the game since Combat Evolved. Battlefield? Same there, a few switches, but pretty much the same line up. Call of Duty? Counter Strike? Rainbow Six? Same thing. Q: Name atleast three AAA high sales FPS games that has completely switched the armory between games or DLCs.

5 답변I could care less about it really. I'm just glad we get to try something new out rather than use the same weapons over and over

2 답변Not age.. But the more experienced players tend to be more mature and accepting. As they know this is the proper way to conduct ones self if they wish to prosper online.
