Are We Getting Knocked Back to 20?
I want to preface my question by saying that this is a not a complaint thread. I actually like everything they're doing with TTK (including 2.0) except for leaving year one legendaries behind.
I'm just wondering, if light levels are getting 86'ed, is everyone getting knocked back to level 20 or what? I mean, if I'm getting knocked back to 20, I might as well put everything I wanna keep in my vault and start back at 1 given all the changes. I'm asking because I didn't see any mention of how this'd work in that [lengthy] GI article.

You'll have to level up from 20 to 40 just like you did from 1 to 20. The new armor won't change your level. You can use the current armor which makes you 34, but you can't go higher than 34 until your guardian goes higher than 34. At least that's how I understand it.

How the leveling works is all character are put to level 20 because light gear no longer exists. When the light armor is gone you are level 20. But bungie is giving a one time level up for one character to get to level 34. The rest you must level up I think

2 답변I hope so but I think our xp level will be 20, but our armor levels of the 34 gear will allow us to do level 34 missions (the new story)

2 답변I think this is a big mistake for Bungie. Destiny is all about the gear. Take away the light levels and it's just another fps. They're going to see a lot of people lose interest.

I don't think it's "knocked back" per se, you [b]ARE[/b] 20. Take off your armor, or put on white or white armor, and your level drops. If your guardian could walk around naked, you'd be 20. The armor you wear buffs you to 34, but [b]YOU[/b]... as yourself... are [b]NOT[/b] 34. Without that armor, you're 20... and too weak for the events that matter. You are a weak, useless for end game content, guardian. Weak and sad. Sorry, but it's true. Currently we're 20 and too weak for end game enemies. So like handicapped guardians we need armor to make us worth a damn, to carry us. With the level changes in TTK, the guardian becomes strong... as themselves, for who they are... and the armor is just a tool. Not a crutch that's required to make us worthy or to make us matter.
