Somewhat-alive post.
This was a rant post I made a few months back calling out the people complaining about Year 1 legendaries not ascending into Year 2 quality. It became quite popular, with many criticizing me for calling Destiny an "MMO". Whatever you think it is, it was never the intended point of the thread, but quickly became it. I shut the post down due to how each side would viciously attack each-other, and how it just got annoying after a while.
It seems I was right about some things, and wrong about others in the end. About a couple weeks after my post, the first livestream for TTK revealed Exotic Blueprints, and how not all Exotics would ascend into Year 2 (Though it still seems to be up in the air if they will ascend eventually, but until then R.I.P MIDA)
I also said it wouldn't really matter, as the legendaries would be replaced with better guns. I think I was right on that one, as I am loving the style and capability of these new guns, although I know some would probably think the opposite.
The new additions in TTK are a mixed bag for me in total, but overall I think the good outweighs the bad.
In the end, I really enjoy TTK, and I'm glad that fan attitude towards no Year 1 legendaries going in didn't destroy the community attitude. The guns are great, the story is great, the soundtrack is great, and the overall experience is great. I'm glad Bungie put all their effort into this and really delivered an experience worth the price of admission.
Hopefully this post dies.
But after the constant necrobumps over the last couple months, I doubt it.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand Bungie adds microtransactions.

3 답변The thread -whose "wisdom" you are defending with self-righteous fury - is just here to call everyone who finds issue with the new changes "stupid." You then go on to say that the things they offer in opposition aren't valid because they're only opinion while at the same time you use yours to spit on them. Please, show me one example of how a thread like this has accomplished anything but piss people off and stroke the poster's ego. I'm sorry if you are getting a little tired of seeing badly written threads about why people are angry, but this is a PUBLIC FORUM where you are meant to discuss these things. If you don't agree with the people who are upset (some of whom make valid points that aren't right OR wrong) then it's a good idea to talk about them normally. Who knows, you might actually get somewhere. And for everyone else? It's their opinion, let them have it. Insulting them for it hints that you arent secure enough in your own to just leave it alone. Why not just ignore them and prove you are the better person?

Someone gets it. I just think most of the people that complain about are those who've never played an mmo. I come from WoW so I'm more than used to selling my older gear since it becomes useless. Bungie went out of the usual thing and let us upgrade exotics which other mmos wouldnt. For example in WoW you do a raid get an incredible piece of armor and in 3 months its essentially replaced. Bungie let us use the same thing for a whole year! That is more than enough time. I of course will miss using my fatebringer but this will make me want to obtain the new best primary in the game. In HoW this didnt happen. I got etheric light and I stopped caring about other weapons. I did get the ones from trials but never even bothered getting the ones from Skolas. Its not bungie forcing us to grind but leading us into enjoying the game.

5 답변People would use fatebringer for the entire 10 year life of destiny, but will sit there and complain about there isn't anything new or no variety. Time to move on people. They are actually heading in the right direction. We are a ways to go, but we are moving towards the game that was originally promised.

I'm ok with this anyway I'm going to miss some of my legendaries. But I wish they made it a tier system where the armor changes with the raid. I mean as you have to get the vanguard set then do vog then crota then poe, etc. Then add a vanity slot go put armor you think is cool in. This would make us look how we want while making people raid.
