"I’m sorry. But $40 for 8 story missions, 3 strikes (for XB, I’m excluding PS exclusives), and 1 raid?!?!?!? A $15 arcade game has more content than this. WTF."
• 8 missions,..2 or 3 more than with how. Expect rehashed areas, AS USUAL per Bungie's game design dilemma
• A whopping ONE new area, with infinite re playability (jokes)
• five strikes is going to be completed in ONE day.
And for the love of god, NOW WE HAVE TO LEVEL THE GUN SHOP OWNER. That is not gameplay., that is supreme BS. Well he didnt do squat past lv 10 anyways)
a few weeks from launch, and everyone still has questions.
Im sorry, but the bun-gee team are arguably the biggest a-holes on the planet. they\ are making a mockery of gamers.

It has double the amount of strikes, the same number of story missions, a brand new area we get to explore, and over 40 new exotics with new ways to obtain them rather then RNG. All the reasons you hate on the DLC are the reasons why this is the one that is actually worth our money. Three- Halo's DLC Didn't add brand new story, weapons and such. Neither did Call of Duty. Or Titanfall. Or Evolve. All these games came out with maybe a new armour and a couple of new maps in their DLC while Bungie is trying hard to continue to expand the Destiny world and trying to continue to immerse us, which is a lot more then other companies have done for their community.

1 답변All missions should be converted to strikes anyway just as all 3 player parts of the game should have matchmaking. Its bad enough how small the content supplied is without reducing it even further by locking you out if your friends aren't online.

작성자: Kadeim 8/9/2015 9:03:57 PMAt least this time they say "The Hype is Real" in the writeup at: http://planetdestiny.com/20-reasons-taken-king/ Hype: (per: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hype?s=t) 1. to stimulate, excite, or agitate (usually followed by up): She was hyped up at the thought of owning her own car. 2. to create interest in by flamboyant or dramatic methods; promote or publicize showily: a promoter who knows how to hype a prizefight. 3. to intensify (advertising, promotion, or publicity) by ingenious or questionable claims, methods, etc. (usually followed by up). 4. to trick; gull. noun 5. exaggerated publicity; hoopla. 6. an ingenious or questionable claim, method, etc., used in advertising, promotion, or publicity to intensify the effect. 7. a swindle, deception, or trick. Edit: FYI, they are using 'hype' as a noun. So look above at the meaning of this word. The problem, is that the past has told that we can't fully trust what they say. But I do appreciate then telling that there are going to be more remixing of older content, and that there will be, eventually, the raid – King’s Fall, which will most likely be our next payment plan (to continue playing.) One of the things mentioned puzzled me: "Sniper rifle blinds enemies on precision hit." Shouldn't a good sniper rifle take down an enemy with a single precision hit? Imagine how many snipers in the real world would make it through a battle, with those types of hits.

For comparison: Zenimax Online is releasing The Imperial City for ESO on the same day. Triple the content in IC, but 2500 Crowns in the Crown Store = about $20 USD (and the price for those Crowns changes depending on what currency you use...).

3 답변I would like to point out that those eight story missions are to introduce the story of the taken king. There's a whole 'nother part of the game once you get to level cap.

42 답변Also lots of new guns with new perks, and ghost skins, and cutscenes, and more areas to patrol on Mars and Earth at least. Don't forget new armor, shaders, new voice for the ghost, with all new lines, 3 re-imagined strikes, completely different quest system with progressively more difficult tiers as you level up. And more we haven't heard about. You're right, totally not worth $40....

4 답변Hmm... compared to House of Wolves... 3 or 4 more strikes, a destination, 5 more crucible maps, a ton more weapons and exotics than HOW had, and the three subclasses (among other things) - there's well over twice as much stuff in TTK. If you don't want to buy it that's your call but acting like it's a tremendous and obvious rip off for everyone is just nonsense.

2 답변For someone like me TTK is a great deal. I didnt pick up any dlc so far, so I'd be getting a decent amount of content... if I was goong to get it. I have zero faith in Bungie's ability to manage this game or put out anything worth my time. I'll be playing fallout 4, metal gear 5 instead... Maybe Elder Scrolls online. If TTK pulls amazing scores i might consider it.

7 답변I am so impressed with bungies/activision business sense that I bought stock in the company. This week it climbed 13% and I have you the community to thank for making me money. Thanks guys!

3 답변8 missions is only the first "act" of the DLC. GI only got to play those 8, there is an unknown additional amount which comprises act 2.

6 답변People like you are exactly what's wrong with this community. Please just delete your account and leave the forums for good. While you're at it, delete your Destiny characters and sell your game. We'll be better off without you.

3 답변If all you guys feel so strongly about it stop bitching and get rid of the game. I'm tired of almost everybody saying TTK is going to suck when most of them will end up buying it anyway, if you don't like it don't buy it, its that simple.

Technically they are relaunching the game. This is going to be "Destiny 1.5" as 2 is a long ways off. If you look at it, this dlc is almost double the others in content, minus the raid of course. Honestly, I'm looking forward to the numerous lore driven missions, and the new weaponry. http://planetdestiny.com/20-reasons-taken-king/ I work hard and save so I can afford add ons to games or new ones. I already pre-ordered the physical collectors ed, as it was the best deal overall. I can sell the old copy for ~$20 to boot, so it technically costs $60. I don't understand everyone's dire hatred to Bungie, it's not like they decide the prices on this stuff. It was Activision (money whores) who decided to split the game, overcharge for it, and screw us over. Then again it's to be expected, with COD and all...

9 답변Dont get ahead of yourself, the raid wont be released at launch according to the GI article. Probably not for the first month either no doubt! Maybe I'm wrong.
