Can someone explain the sudden desire for vanilla gear?
Call me "out of the loop" but it seems that everyone suddenly wants old vanilla gear for some reason, especially the LDR 5001. Can someone explain?

4 답변Because you can roll certain perks on older gear that you can't get on new gear. Like pulse rifles getting full auto or snipers getting final round.

15 답변작성자: Ceriin 8/2/2015 6:15:40 AMMost of the new cloaks look horrible. Especially the faction specific ones. Dead Orbit used to have a cool scarf, now it has this ugly patchwork mess with the logo slapped on... Kellhunter's hood is pretty awesome though.

Because all the vanilla armour and weapons are fantastic, and most of use dismantled our stuff because we never thought it would be useful again. I saved a few weapons thankfully. No armour tho. And I am super jelly of a friend of mine. His Warlock is dressed in a combination of eclipse maw and nerigal servant gear. Needless to say, that 'lock is one sharp dressed lady.

3 답변Vanilla gear may have better stats and currently unobtainable perks. The Devil You Know is a poor man's Fatebringer. Little else can compare. Shadow Price was god, and not the only godly autorifle. Vanilla armor just looks cooler. Nerigal Savant is iconic for Warlocks...but is really hard to get today.

4 답변Shadow Price is widely accepted to be one of the best ARs in the game, and helped establish ARs in the Crucible. TDB weapons generally were less polished and (to me at leasty) appeared to have been thought out less compared to the vanilla kit. There ARE very good TDB weapons and armour, there just seems to be less of it. The LDR is a very good SR and I used it for the Nightfall this week (8800 crit damage with the Arc burn on) and my friend was surprised just how fast we were wearing him down each encounter. On the whole, for me vanilla kit (once ascended) is often very good, if not better than newer kit.

1 답변There are a couple of weapons that had amazing rolls, if they still exist on the weapons...the swarm, ldr, shadow price...some dragon scout rifle. They're all really good.
