Why hate the white knight
To the people out there getting mad because of guys, who are trying to support the Dames of Destiny, you are a piece of shit, the asshole that nobody likes. You're the guy that will -blam!- up a women and leave her mentally scarred. So that, every other guy she meets, all she'll think is, they're just like you. So how about you assholes actually try to be a men and not the dumbass who still think treating women like shit is cool and funny.

I wish people on this forum could stop gong ape-shit over almost nothing. This community is always overreacting to the smallest things, and often overreacting to things that arent even controversial. A lot of white knights are just secretly showing off for girls so they can get lucky. It's the sad truth. They also have an unfortunate habit of forcing down the voices of people they are trying to "protect". They assume they know all about the issues people face, and the fact is, they don't. As a straight, white male, I've found the best thing to do is try to be less of a voice of authority on the subjects, but to listen to the actual oppressed people, and try to understand instead of rushing ahead and acting like you know everything. On a side note, do not. Under any circumstances. Ever pull the "Not all men/white people/ straight people do that." Yes, people know that, the unfortunate issue is, that too many white/straight/male people do that, and instead of immediately rushing to defend yourself, shouting down the persons experiences, you can actually show that you're better than that through your actions.

9 답변Nope. White knights don't do anything to help gender equality. They hurt it. Just the same as governments enforcing set percentages of female politicians hurt gender equality. By helping them in such a way that puts them in front of other people/groups, you are only helping to make other people view them differently, rather than the same. A woman who needs people to protect her will not be viewed with respect. She will be viewed with pity. A female politician who seems to be there not based on her merit, but because the system demands a set number of female politicians will not be viewed with the same respect as one who is there without such a system in place. By trying to help, you are hurting the perception of female gamers. Female gamers do not need men to defend them. They do not need men to win their games for them. They do not need men on their raid team. Female gamers can get by however they please. They do not need you, or anyone else.

5 답변The reason people are criticizing the white knights is because everything that was said on the stream has and is commonly said to every other streamer and nobody makes a big deal about it. It's only a big deal because it happened to be directed at a woman this time.(except wish you luck who directed his towards Deej)

You're always going to run into people who like to run their mouth, BOYS and GIRLS. White knights come to aid people who are fully capable of handling this garbage on their own.. Do you think they just started playing? No. They've heard the whole spectrum of sexist talk... Just like you've heard all the trash talking (male to male). You're never going to get away from those people who talk trash, ever. It's what they do. But seriously, it's so cringy to see all these guys and girls standing up and blowing this out of proportion. Guys doing it to be the good guy... Girls doing it to make a point about equality. It's not necessary. Unless someone asks you personally for help, it shouldn't be any of your business.

If people spent half their time white knighting for things that actually matter people wouldn't care. Instead of spending hours posting on a gaming forum, go out and volunteer at a hospital or do something that will actually make a difference. I can assure you that spreading hate on either side of the discussion is not productive.
