People are getting way too excited for TTK
People are getting way too over-hyped about the new DLC. We have all been victims of Bungievision's marketing before and by the looks of it alot of you are falling for it again.
There are also the pricing issues with everyone outside of the US paying over 50% more for it.
I just wish the rest of you would see sense and stop falling for the hype building
Edit. £40 = $62.49, this is the main reason I believe it is no where near worth it
Edit 2. The amount of people this post seems to annoy is hilarious
Edit 3. Just seen the new trailer, I notice how most of the trailer is pre-TTK stuff and only the last 30-40 seconds is TTK stuff. Not a good sign...
Edit 4. I see the weekly update was as none informative as usual. Still nothing about why the UK pricing is so much higher than the US >_<

I agree. Buying the TTK expansion gives. 3 New Subclasses with separate quest line 1 New Raid 8 New Missions* 1 New Patrol Area 3/4 New Strikes* 3/4 New PVP Maps* * This is just speculation and it may have more. The content above is almost all of what you PAY for. It may be more than what I have listed as more info is still to be released. If you don't purchase TTK you get everything else I have seen FREE. I will wait till the end of the year and play Destiny less collecting whatever I need and buy it all with future expansions for the same price next year. I may buy it earlier if it is a lot more than what I have listed and they find a solution to keep raids and the gear they drop relevant.

Look, I'm with the op on this one anyone outside the US is getting screwed. I really like destiny but stopped playing until more details have been released to see if it's worth $63. After this latest release I won't even buy it if exchange rate is applied as yet again bungie screws over its vets! As I have said on a previous post F-uck you bungie

3 답변It definitely sounds like they're adding some good things, but for the love of god, DO NOT PREORDER DLC. There is absolutely no reason to do it. What, you think they'll run out? All it accomplishes is showing Bungie and Activision that you guys will pay for anything that has the name "Destiny" on it without even knowing what you're buying. And that's just stupid.

I saw that reveal trailer and logged out of Destiny- quit cold turkey. I think the new classes look fun and thought that might be pretty cool. That would have been a great reward for year one players- three new free classes. If we've learned anything since the last few E3's is to beware of the new lie as you go marketing plans. Ubisoft was so radically lying about five of their games and their state of readiness it was surely a stock bump tactic. So, I'm all set with hearing devs talk about revolutionizing the game industry with mirrored or backwards rehashed levels and slightly renamed enemies. LAIR on PS3 made all those claims too, and while it had new mechanics it was no holy arrival of gaming Jesus. TTK, at least at this point, appears to be quite more of the same.

5 답변You should never bring out a DLC at $40 unless its nearly a whole new game. Ttk doesn't look like it's going to be hear that at all, and is overpriced because of that as well.

I find it astonishing people can't seem to grasp that some players actually enjoy the game and are hyped for the expansion because they actually want more. Not everyone was "duped" by Activision. Your experience with a game does not equal all other players experience with the game. Fun fact: people find different things enjoyable.

Well said, OP. The issue is the sheeple/Desticles who're getting sucked in by and promoting the massive levels of hype for The Taken Wallet, who'll inevitably be let down. Seriously; with the massive let-down that was the first two DLC, why would [b]anyone[/b] expect TTW to be "the magic bullet" for Destiny? It's going to be just as short on content as the two previous DLC, and the weapons will only seem to be "so great" because they're nerfing the dogshit out of every weapon that came before TTK with the Update 2.0 that accompanies it. I'll love the bitter tears of regret that are sure to come starting September 16th. #notbuyingTTK

9 답변If you are unsure about whether or not to buy TTK, why not wait for the reviews? Sure you don't get the content right away on release but you at least will feel more comfortable making a decision on the purchase if you know more about what you're getting into. I personally love the game and have pre-ordered on the XB1 since the friends I play with are doing the same. The game is different for everyone though and the best way to know if you want it is to wait to see what it really is first.

1 답변I'm lucky I'm essentially getting it for free then since I'm getting PS4 Taken King bundle which is the same price as a base PS4 but has a unique Destiny theme and brings the Taken King with it.
