You bastards will literally cry Nerf about anything.
For what it's worth, I've been playing this since the Beta, back when people cried about the goddamned Shingen. They'd cry about Golden Gun and its 3 kills, Throwing Knife, Fist of Havoc, Nova Bomb, the Galahad, and [b]each other[/b].
You bastards need to suck it up. Sure, some things aren't performing as intended, so a Patch is released. But haven't you ever considered that [b]you[/b] aren't performing as intended?
Understand that certain things dominate in their respective areaa. Then understand their flaws and how to [b]drive them into the ground.[/b]
Getting Sniped? Why aren't you rushing them from another side?
Getting dominated in close range? Stop feeding them kills.
Boxed in and can't break out of your Spawn area? Don't wait for RNG to solve your problems, make something happen with your [b]own Goddamned hands[/b].
Stop attributing your deaths to your opponent's weapons or perks. One's an anomaly, two's a trend. [b]Stop making your deaths into a trend.[/b] Adapt to their playstyle and annihilate them for using it.
Person's using Last Word? Either rush them hard where they don't expect it or make [b]your[/b] optimal range into their [b]death zone[/b].
A Vex Mythoclast? Abuse that Rev-up time. Fire from in and out of cover. It might not be the best window, but damn it; it's there.
Thorn? So what if they take you out? [b]Drag them down with you if you have to.[/b] Them getting two headshots in a row on you is your own damn fault for being [b]-blam!-ing predictable.[/b] That time it takes for the burn to end you? More than enough to put someone down. Ambush them, snipe them, but don't just lie there and accept your loss. You have grenades, force them into cover. Have your own Thorn? By all means, whatever, use it if you want, but only if you think you can [b]out-Thorn them.[/b]
For shit's sake, there's strategies and stratagems for everything. Try something out and see if it works. Don't attack them head on, running into their gunfire. [b]Think[/b] about what'll be effective, you have it in you!

The big kahuna of their decision to affect a weapon's performance lies with the numbers from their database and current effect that weapon has. The problem with Thorn isn't necessarily two headshots, but that alone is a result of the issue being the weapon's ease of use, insane range, and high damage all rolled into a bundle on the highest RoF archetype HandC. Sure, you can out-play them. I do with Necro often. However that's mostly on account of a fatal flaw from the Thorn user more-so than my more than capable and reliable performance standards (We're pretty similar in that regard.). With Thorn, the only real competition is TLW or a smart Red Death user unless that player is leagues above you instead of equally/slightly more skilled. That said, if I want to truly compete, I HAVE to swap to TLW/Thorn. That is the current state of the game. Sure, I can do well enough for myself and hit the middle of the scoreboard with Necro and stay above 1.0 and contribute a little bit, but then I'd be asking another user with Thorn or TLW to carry me compared to my capabilities with TLW. Nerfing these weapons reduces the absolute necessity of the Exotic primary, people are given the option to use Exotic Specials that don't have insane ammo supply rates (QBB), which is a buff to the variety to the player in actually having a weapon to augment their style over being forced to use the one thing that completely and totally overshadows the alternative (see Thunderlord vs Gjalla).

There won't be a balanced game. Not when you combine pvp and pve. Especially in Destiny. It seems when they balance one gun, another becomes op. They balance the OP gun, it breaks and another becomes op. People will go down the path of least resistance. Once this balance goes through, I'm predicting that shotguns will still be number one in crucible, people will still use thorn because it will still be a powerful gun, autorifles will become more useful in pvp and may even become op in short range maps, pulse rifles will not be used as much in pvp, scout rifles will not change, hand cannons will still be used and fusion rifles will not be used by anyone. Three months later, bungie will say no one is using pulse rifles and fusion rifles. So here is what we plan to do, nerf shotguns some more, nerf handcannons some more, nerf autorifles again and leave scout rifles alone. We will also be nerf img Ghallajhorn again because people are rolling with ghallajhorn only squads and it's not fair to other people. We are nerfing thunderlord just cause. We are adding a slight buff to pulse and fusion rifles. Three months later again and again.

This is one of the best posts ever.....I read these forums at times and just worry about the future of humanity as a whole. Basically anyone on the outside looking in would think that Destiny had just a bunch of whiny little bitches that can't do anything in the real world. Yes there are issues with this game and some things need balancing...Totally agree with that (not saying how it was done but that something needed to be done).....however there is a way to adjust to every single one of the "OP" weapons out there and they can be out matched. Problem is when someone doesn't think before they run into the meat grinder they have a tendency to get pissed with the result....Of course that's not their fault NOOO it HAS to be someone else's because no one wants to take responsibility for their own actions. That would be too easy.

Wrong about one thing only: Thorn 1) Final round glitch = 1 headshot kill 2) Bungie's "nerf" isn't really a nerf (burn damage lowered but now stacks on 5 hits instead of 2) 3) Data mining shows Thorn is 50% of all PVP kills - any other game would remove a gun that does that

I'm an above average decent player, but these crybaby kiddos are just pathetic. They LITERALLY cry nerf over everything and its pathetic. Use your strategy and your weapons to YOUR ADVANTAGE. Getting shotgun'd? Stay back and hit em with a hand cannon or pulse rifle from range. Getting destroyed by last word? Then you're a moron also, because that gun has the range of a freaking pitchfork. I could throw a 50 pound dumbell farther than its bullets are effectively and accurately able to kill. Gee I wundar how do i killz someone who is using da close-range weapon? Gee dumbnuts I just can't possibly wonder how to switch weapons and strategy to overcome and beat a last word heavy fireteam.... Point is EVERY single game I encounter, I die a few times and learn to develop my strategy based on map, what the other team is using weapons-wise, based on how they are BEHAVING, and I then adapt and learn to play and EFFECTIVELY COUNTER THEM based on experience and training. It's not hard. If you cry nerf....end of discussion you're a joke and you're showing the entire forum and community what a crybaby unadaptable pu$$y you are. Now if a weapon is ever so HORRIBLY op then it will be adjusted...but this is just not the case with either shotguns...hand cannons...thorn...efrideet's spear...anything. Nothing is terribly imbalanced right now except for...here it comes...THe SKILL LEVEL of ANYBODY who cries and posts nerf on the forum. You made a post about something being OP and needing NERF? You cry and post 5 topics a day about thorn being OP and needing NERF? Guess what needs adjusted? Your skill level at this game is the problem...not the weapons. YOur lack of adaptability and ability to overcome and change your strategies is what is a joke, not the weapons the guys are using that are DESTROYING you. Its not their weapons anyways by the way...its your lack of skill, coordination, and, reflexes that is the reason you suck. Not their thorn or last word or shotgun. Maybe you should quit posting on the forums and take that time to learn how to become somewhat good at the game. Switch to your primary weapon once or twice in a game perhaps?
