Reddit rumor: All current guns will stop at 365
I heard yesterday that the Etheric Light upgrades will stop with The Taken King, and the current 365 weapons will not be upgradeable with the next frontier. Twas also said that it Exotics would'nt be upgradeable either (but that's gotta be horseshit, right?)
So what's up? They'll actually cap at 365 and the new guns/gear will set the next level? Personally I think that the Etheric Light thing's been the smartest in-game added feat to date. Now, we're building individual setups really..

I think part of this game is getting you hooked so that you feel you can justify the time spent grinding/playing it. If TTK was a fresh start i'm sure many people would see that as an opportunity to cash out and go commit to another game, I can't see Activision allowing that. If they put the next etheric light drop at the end of the raid, which might be a level 50 raid (just guessing as it's supposed to be a soft cap at 30 and we can increase by 14 using light as it is) Your not going to get very far in the campaign with 365 weapons, so you'll have to use the new ones, especially if the new etheric light is a rare drop on the raid. Who knows the taken might get new shields which require dedicated burn weapons, that would put your year 1 weapons to a considerable handicap.

2 답변I think that legendaries from year 1 should stay at 365 but all the exotics should follow to the next cap. I think that Bungie wouldn't make exotics the most "rare" items in the game should follow u until destiny is over. I think guns like fatebringer should stay back in year one because frankly I am not excited by any drops in house of wolves because I have my good guns from VoG.

9 답변Problem with ascension is that original vault weapons are hopelessly overpowered compared to current stuff, so everybody just uses 365 vog weapons

If that was the case then why would they be bothering with wholesale rebalancing before TTK. If they were limiting all old weapons to HOW standard then most of the older guns would become irrelevant especially when it comes to Trials/Iron Banner which is where most of the PvP based complaints come from.

7 답변I assume exotics will continue into ttk. Lengendaries will most likely be left behind. I'm curious about the Trails gear though as I assume that event will continue.

Exotics won't be left behind. They are the core of the game and that would mean u have maybe 5 exotics in year two. That's retarded! Legendaries will probably get phased out but I wouldn't worry about all of our exotics until Destiny 2

2 답변They're switching to light levels for weapons instead of having damage numbers, like the 300 and 365 numbers are now. If you can find the video of the guy talking about the ttk release where he is running a crucible match in the tower it shows his weapons with light levels. I think the auto rifle he is using is light level 4 or something like that.
