Post your "almost went to the lighthouse" stories here, or alternatively, times you barely made it to the lighthouse.

1 답변Monday night we were at 7-0. I had just picked up the Boon. I've never been to the lighthouse, so I was super excited. we get matched up with two guys who have a Grimoire score of 3600. The other guy had 2400 I think. One guy also had the Emblem Shield of Heroes/Legends/Mythics. So he was a Bungie Vet at least. Of course this is my luck, lol. Won the next game tho, not that it mattered. lol

1 답변My first ever time on trials we go 7-0 with mercy used so we go back to the reef and get the boon now we're super excited for the game to start and then we see what the competition is, hooray its a couple of 32's and a 33 against us while we had had two 34's and a 33, got absolutely mauled it was gut wrenching.

작성자: Ken Rocker 8/19/2015 3:48:14 PMI have the curse of 8-0. In fact, I go 8-0 every week. On my 9th match, it's always something. Teammate dc'd on the first round of the last match. :( And my forgiveness boon was already eaten up by his dc in the 5th match.

1 답변Only went 8-1 once and there was no story there. But one week we went 9-0 but by the time the last match ended and we got to orbit the weekly reset happened and it never counted. Best part was in that run we actually won a 2v3 and kept the run going for our last guy who lagged out.

1 답변Week 1. My friends and I did trials. I had no coins to by mercy. But they did. We went 8-0. Lost once. But because they has mercy it didn't count for them. Then we beat the next team to have the 9-0 streak. Except I had 9-1. Wah. Was literally right there.

4 답변작성자: mentalyentil 8/19/2015 3:49:12 PMI'm reading a lot about final rounders ending a flawless run. Maybe I'm unique in this, but I have never run into a final rounder who was halfway decent. That and the fact that they only have maybe 2 actual shots in the beginning since they waste all their ammo makes them much less a threat than an actually good sniper. I guess I view it much more as a (crappy) crutch so I make it my mission to destroy them. I don't see it as a legitimate strategy though since I've never lost to it and I'm not very good at PVP. [spoiler]I have never lost to a final rounder since they usually suck.[/spoiler] To answer the OP I went 8-1 on week 3 and almost never played again. The following week brought me my sweet sweet victory. EDIT: when I say "final rounder" I'm referring to people who actually abuse it, not for those who happen to have the perk.

1 답변We were 8-0, almost to the light house, last game we joined against two warlocks and a titan. 4-4 in the last round. We pushed and started to wipe them, it came down to me and their titan. He went for the revive but as i shotgunned him from near point blank, not only does he get the revive, but as he does the two magically teleport about 30ft to my left. They both had shotguns and oversheilds. Not the first time lag has screwed me over.

2 답변8-0 playing on my 56k DSL logged in through AOL then I got a phone call on the last round and it kicked me off the internet Jk!! But who in here is old enough to remember those struggles.

Over hither on the other side of the map his teammates were the biggest scrubs. The guy just stayed on the control point and spammed nova bombs. :( [i]Twas no flawless that night[/i]

Matches us against same team of tryhards [i]again[/i]. Loses 4-5 [i]again[/i]. End up going 8-1, first week for me doing trials. End up going flawless last week tho.

2 답변Was 8-0 already used mercy. We're tied 4-4, me and team mate trade. So we're down to our third and their third. Our third gets weasled. Lost the game. This was 2 weeks ago.

2 답변I was helping some scrubs (just kidding, they played their part.) through Trials and one of them got kicked at 8 wins. (This game counts getting kicked as leaving and used his mercy.) So we managed to get 1(us) - 3(them) before he got kicked then after we got 3 - 5 (Got 2 wrecking balls that game) and lost our mercy. The guy that got kicked offered to help us again to get the other guy and I flawless at least and as soon as we got in, we knew we were -blam!-ed... [spoiler]We got lagswitched.[/spoiler]
