I am not knocking anyone here but I seem to be reading an argument on the forums that goes something like this :-
" Fallout 4 will be better than Destiny because, wow, did you see E3 ?" and which then goes on to say that Fallout 4 will be the Destiny "Killer"..
But how do you know ?
I loved Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas but what is it, exactly, about Fallout 4 that makes people think its going to be so good ?
Shown at E3 ?. Err, wasn't Destiny...and didn't that turn out quite the different game..
It has a story ?..Err, does it ?.. You wake up in a vault, you craft a few things, you go here and there doing stuff...which doesn't exactly set it apart from 3 or New Vegas ...I mean, its hardly an original story is it ?..(and yes I admit originality in video games can be kind of hard)
Its got good graphics ? Questionable when you compare with with Destiny
It won't need constant patching and amending/buffing/nerfing/updating ? ..Err, I am pretty sure my copy of Fallout Las Vegas was a buggy glitchy mess at times
Its not made by Bungie ? Okay, I'll give you that one..
Its a full game and the same price as Destiny's expansion.. And I will give you that one as well..
But why do you think Fallout 4 will "beat" Destiny ?..or perhaps you don't ?..Or, and whisper it quietly, you have room in your life for more than one game ??..
Just interested..
Edit : Thanks for the variety of replies. Very interesting and thoughtful compared with the inane responses I occasionally get. Obviously a thread for intelligent people lol!. Thanks guys!

1 답변It's Bethesda. If you shit talk Bethesda to back up Activision there's something wrong.

I feel fallout will be refreshing. If your not a fan of MMO's or RPGS there really not much to play outside of destiny. Knowing how DLCS usually are I will play for maybe the first few weeks and get burnt out. This time there is a game I actually want to play that will be available. Not just fallout, but as other games release. We haven't had any game as addicting as Destiny, nothing has come close. A treyarch cod might change that

1 답변But what happens when everyone tired of TTK? If they aren't planning dlcs for it, it'll die fairly quickly because if it wasn't for the 2 dlcs on 12 year olds and Bungie fan boys would continue to play it. Not defending fallout, it's obvious the fallout series is far more advanced it every way. You forgot to mention that it will be out on PC so then PC gamers as myself can optimize the graphics to look far better than destiny. So tell me this, aside from destinys multiplayer, what do you have? Could you continue to play a single player game for hours on end like fallout? I mean I do agree people shouldn't jump to saying it'll "kill destiny", but I believe they say something like that because we all know Bethesda is a far more honest company and listens to their fan base. They would patch anything if it was game breaking and the usually with Bethesdas e3 trailers we are given what they show, or even better which destiny defiantly did not do, more.

2 답변You should probably watch more of the trailers if you really think f4 will be like f3 or fnv.

4 답변Well, because it will have a world, with things to explore and experience. I bought destiny to see other worlds, explore forgotten outposts, snippets of history to find. You know. Exploring. Not grinding in pvp to earn 1 of 3 currencies to buy what I need for pve.

Did you actually see what you can do in fallout 4? You can gain xp and build everything from a paperclip to a city to a super weapon. My favorite part of fallout is the unexpected things that happen all the time. Like having to walk for 20 minutes just listening to the wind blow and hear that eerie music in the background, then suddenly out of nowhere and without any warning you are being attacked by mole creatures from hell. but if you played that part over again it wouldn't happen the same way, instead you may come upon a half naked person needing food and in exchange she gives you a little info on where shes been and what she's seen. The unexpected I guess would have to be my favorite part of the fallout series. But as far as TTK goes? The longer I go not playing destiny, the less inclined I am to jump on the $40 bandwagon. I will most likely wait to read the reviews and see what happens. TDB was fun. HOW killed destiny for me.

3 답변작성자: John6Max4 7/20/2015 10:38:14 PMActual next-gen open world Actual quests Actual story Actual lore IN-GAME Better enemies Better variety of enemies Those enemies have back stories Better variety of weapons Better environments Better things to DO in those environments Exploration (this one is the most I'm looking forward too) Basically everything Destiny was advertised as having and then didn't. The base game will also be worth $60 while $40 for vanilla Destiny is pushing it. I like Destiny but goddamn we didn't know what we were preordering back in September. Hopefully The Taken King is good so I can play it while I wait for Fallout 4

Bethesda makes great games, listens to their fans, isn't Activision, and... Muthaloving wearable PIPBOY! I have spent hours playing Destiny and hours waiting for raid groups. I have spent days, no weeks playing Fallout and Skyrim games a piece. Yes that wearable is where my $40 Taken money went. Sorry Bungie.

2 답변It's fallout. Like nobody beats fallout. Fallout 3 had like three times the content destiny has lol
-
1 답변They're two completely different games. Personally I am no longer a fan of single player games, however fallout 3 was by far the most enjoyable experience I have had, and fallout 4 I'm sure will be even better. I reckon it will only take me 2 months to get bored of the taken king, which is perfect because then I can play all the games coming in November. But when the next dlc for destiny comes out I will probably go play that. My point is that the people saying that a certain game will be the death of destiny are the same whiny lil idiots moaning about the lack of content. Play the games u wana play. Just stop trying to make others feel bad about playing games that u don't like

You're comparing a story based rpg taking hundreds of hours to finish to an expansion for an online FPS games where you can upgrade your guns and do nothing else. If you're gonna compare apples to oranges, at least make sure its not a truck full of apples versus 1 orange.
