Why will Fallout 4 "beat" Destiny (Taken King)
I am not knocking anyone here but I seem to be reading an argument on the forums that goes something like this :-
" Fallout 4 will be better than Destiny because, wow, did you see E3 ?" and which then goes on to say that Fallout 4 will be the Destiny "Killer"..
But how do you know ?
I loved Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas but what is it, exactly, about Fallout 4 that makes people think its going to be so good ?
Shown at E3 ?. Err, wasn't Destiny...and didn't that turn out quite the different game..
It has a story ?..Err, does it ?.. You wake up in a vault, you craft a few things, you go here and there doing stuff...which doesn't exactly set it apart from 3 or New Vegas ...I mean, its hardly an original story is it ?..(and yes I admit originality in video games can be kind of hard)
Its got good graphics ? Questionable when you compare with with Destiny
It won't need constant patching and amending/buffing/nerfing/updating ? ..Err, I am pretty sure my copy of Fallout Las Vegas was a buggy glitchy mess at times
Its not made by Bungie ? Okay, I'll give you that one..
Its a full game and the same price as Destiny's expansion.. And I will give you that one as well..
But why do you think Fallout 4 will "beat" Destiny ?..or perhaps you don't ?..Or, and whisper it quietly, you have room in your life for more than one game ??..
Just interested..

3 답변Fallout is cool... Until you realize that you are doing the same shit every mission... And you become to powerful to have a challenge... And walking through a wasteland with nothing around gets boring... Destiny has multiplayer, a forever changing system. I have played fallout... Got bored of it. Elder scrolls.. Got bored. You run out of things to do, even the expansion. But I was not someone who wants to "collect" worthless items. I just wanted to have fun, but the fun runs out with those type of games.

Fallout is bland and boring. I don't see all the hype around it. The only reason I'm mildly interested is the setting... Boston. I'm a Mass kid.. I'm curious as to the design choices. Other than that.. the gameplay (the combat specifically) looks dated.

FO4 will not "beat" Destiny. Why not you say? Simple,its mainly a story driven single player game. Yes plenty of players will leave Destiny to play it,finish it and then........ They'll come back to Destiny again,its kind of how this game works. The only game that will have a chance to beat Destiny is a game that does something similar as Destiny,like the Division or that pirate game Rare is making and,lets be honest here,pirates beat space zombies. I'm sure FO4 will become an enjoyable game and I will most certainly play it,but its a very different experience than Destiny.

Well generally, bethesda make really good game so i think thats why people already thinks it will be good (including myself) but for me it won't kill destiny. I play with my clan, all of them are awesome and even if the game is repetitive thats why I always came back. So fallout will give destiny a pause but it is sure i will come back^^

작성자: zmach1 7/21/2015 10:41:49 AMI don't see this as a direct competition, but Fallout 4 will appeal greatly to an already large established crowd (Fallout 3 & New Vegas Fans) and will concentrate on one facet of the game (single player, open world, sandbox game) instead of trying to be a jack of all trades like Destiny. They are different enough to both coexist, but I think Fallout 4 is going to take a lot of Destiny players away. Particularly the large PvE community.

Fallout 4 fo'sho. Mainly because The Taken King will likely last maybe a couple hours? Then I won't hit the raid until a guide come out so Im not some bumbling idiot (especially if they put instakills everywhere.) and other than that, it'll just be Tuesdays and weekends when I actually play. Fallout will probably end up like Skyrim where I played for 300 hours exploring then made like 4 other characters to replay with different skills,

This reputation combined with the things shown about Fallout 4 allow us to be confident about its quality. Bungie had the same good reputation before Destiny. Which is why the game sold a LOT of copies, and why there was/is such outcry and disappointment over game issues and developer attitudes.

5 답변I dunno man. Destiny reminds me of Warcraft. No single game will "beat" it. Destiny will beat Destiny just like WoW with unnecessary nerfs and losing sight of what made the game fun. With all that being said Warcraft has been going strong over a decade and still has millions upon millions of players. Lol

5 답변Because Fallout 3 and New Vegas had more content than Destiny and all the DLCs combined. Hell, one expansion from FO3 or FNV beats destiny's story by a long shot. Fallout 4 is just going to be even better. Now, if Destiny was going to be the game it was SUPPOSED to be, then there would be some contest..
