I am not knocking anyone here but I seem to be reading an argument on the forums that goes something like this :-
" Fallout 4 will be better than Destiny because, wow, did you see E3 ?" and which then goes on to say that Fallout 4 will be the Destiny "Killer"..
But how do you know ?
I loved Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas but what is it, exactly, about Fallout 4 that makes people think its going to be so good ?
Shown at E3 ?. Err, wasn't Destiny...and didn't that turn out quite the different game..
It has a story ?..Err, does it ?.. You wake up in a vault, you craft a few things, you go here and there doing stuff...which doesn't exactly set it apart from 3 or New Vegas ...I mean, its hardly an original story is it ?..(and yes I admit originality in video games can be kind of hard)
Its got good graphics ? Questionable when you compare with with Destiny
It won't need constant patching and amending/buffing/nerfing/updating ? ..Err, I am pretty sure my copy of Fallout Las Vegas was a buggy glitchy mess at times
Its not made by Bungie ? Okay, I'll give you that one..
Its a full game and the same price as Destiny's expansion.. And I will give you that one as well..
But why do you think Fallout 4 will "beat" Destiny ?..or perhaps you don't ?..Or, and whisper it quietly, you have room in your life for more than one game ??..
Just interested..
Edit : Thanks for the variety of replies. Very interesting and thoughtful compared with the inane responses I occasionally get. Obviously a thread for intelligent people lol!. Thanks guys!

1 답변Bethesda isn't exactly known for flawless games. Bug ridden is a very common aspect of all their games and is always a pain point for sandbox games in general. I've had less shitty world experiences with bungie games, comparatively. But that's a whole different topic. Fallout won't kill Destiny, it will distract from, briefly. Much in the same way as Witcher, Dragon Age, Batman, etc... Why? Those games have an ending, one that you will get to in half the time you've put into Destiny. Then you won't replay them (dragon age excluded), because there isn't anything else to achieve. We're in this strange beginnings of Destiny, where morbid curiosity, hope, desire and obsession all smash together into a messy idea that this could become the best game ever. So we come back, after every update and expansion to see what the state of the game is. By the time you hit the crazy I quit plan that is standard in mmo lifespans, Destiny 2 will be out, bigger and different, even possibly better. By that time, Fallout will still be collecting dust and you know that Bethesda won't have another game released for another year or so, but destiny will be there and you will want to see what's up.

2 답변Fallout 4 will win, no doubt. Skyrim took me 300 hours to complete BEFORE there was any DLC and Fallout 4 is gonna be much bigger than Skyrim, so that's automatically a good amount of time spend exploring. Compared to Destiny's "I know everything about this area because I've been here 26 times already." Fallout 4 will have an actually story with side missions that further enrich characters and the world of Fallout. Also audio/text logs can be read in-game, not by some website. Weapons variety. Fallout always has a decent amount of weapon choice, and Fallout 4 will have build-your-own-weapons. So that is already much better than Destiny's "Pick one of 5 weapons." Ready for the big reason? Mods. Fallout 4 having mods means that the game will constantly have new shit added. From something as little as skins, to bug fixes, to a nuke minigun, to new fan-made quests. Fallout 4 will constantly get new stuff for FREE compared to Destiny's raids which you play over and over until the next $30 DLC comes out. Sorry mates, Fallout 4 will definitely deal a huge blow to Destiny. Considering I play maybe 4 hours a week (Not daily, weekly.) this definitely has the potential to remove me from Destiny.

Destiny is a social shooter and nothing more its fun because you can play with others and talk while playing. Fallout series is and open world RPG with shooter qualities andb multiple story lines actual secrets and events and plots to get involved with or ignore completely . You can be an evil sadistic baby snatching murderer or righteous gun toting champion for good, or anywhere in between. Destiny falls short because as a player we are not immersed In a living universe the game never continues a progressive story line save for TTK but we don't know how they will chain together honestly I'm just shooting aliens with friends which is fun but I've never played games just to shoot things with no fear of punishment or reward outside of the gunfight. Destiny has room to grow so it won't die anytime soon I'm just hoping its a much more developed game when I finish with fallout in the winter of 2017

Your joking right? I'll give the taken king a few weeks before it becomes boring and repetitive to all. Have you played new Vegas in its entirety? After I did all the choices I could possibly make, the ending dialog was nearly 30 mins long! Fallout 4 will be bigger then skyrim and that game was incredible. in the end the taken king will not be worth 40 dollars.

Wait so a new make will be cooler then a one year old game. Weird. Who new games got better as time goes on. These comparisons are stupid. Destiny has and will keep playing well past Christmas that's one hell of an achievement. Cough cough "evolve" "GTA" and every other 60$ waste.

I'll give you my reasons for what Fallout 4 will reduce Destiny: Taken King sales. 1: Fallout 4 is only a few months away from release, not a year or more. This means that whatever they said they had at e3, they'll have at release. They cannot remove content that was promised in such a short time. 2: Introducing a voiced protagonist that has over 13,000 lines of dialog means more character fleshing. I might not equate to a better story, but the potential is there. 3: Bethesda has stated that Fallout 4 wan't meant to look the best. But it is still acceptable looking compared to the games that are out now. They also have stated that if you want to compare the games graphics, to compare it with a game that offers similar/ same content as Fallout 4, making graphics comparisons mor difficult. 4: They have stated that they learned from Skyrim's mistakes. That doesn't mean the game will be bug-less at release, but the chances of having a game breaking bug is reduced, it is also the same, albeit heavily modified, creation engine used in Skyrim, making old bugs easier to identify and remove. TL;DR: They cannot remove content so close to release date. Voiced character means more story potential. Graphics comparison are made difficult with Fallout 4s stated content. They have learned from Skyrim's bugs.

16 답변Fallout will die out its hype for no reason Xbox one fan boys wanna hold on to something hoping for the best. Fallout 4 will sell but it will be average or just a little over and give it about 2-3months and no one talks about it.

5 답변You actually like Vegas? It is by far the worst or the series! With as long as we have had to wait for 4 and with as bad as Vegas was 4 should be amazing. I'm not enough into games to pay attention to e3 or watch videos about gaming so I could be wrong but I'm just excited to play the series again
