The tower and the vestian outpost is known as the "social" area, but it feels barren and lifeless. Emotes only keep one entertained for so long, but I think it's time Bungie implemented some sort of text chat system. Think about it.
There could be easier ways to find a group of players willing to join you in the crucible, or to clash with Atheon. It could also be a wonderful opportunity to chat with other guardians in a safe way. Of course there will be road umps, like trolls who will spam, and flames as well, but simply give the option of a mute button, and possibly make a guardian invisible, in case of annoying tea bagging.
This could improve the quality of life, allowing other guardians to meet and chat in an interesting way. A text bubble would pop up over your guardians head, and with the use of the Playstation app or USB keyboard, chatting will be quick and clean. This could encourage guardians who simply don't have access to a mic to become involved in a simple way. Text communication.
I'm a fan of the chat bubble floating above the head in a social area, but in combat scenarios, maybe it can be placed in the bottom left, where there is combat information. It's just an idea, a suggestion. This would increase the value of the Tower, increase the social aspect of the game and possibly draw in a more positive community.
Consider it. C:

2 답변Good ideas. One thing that keeps me from random joining from tower is not knowing players age. Fearful of getting some young annoying kid in the group.

1 답변I like the idea, I can't understand how the only social interaction is via 3 emotes and everything else is outside the game. Nearly every other online game has some form of chat option whether it's text or proximity chat and Destiny has none of that, especially when most of the game requires you to team up it just baffles me that everything is done through 3rd party applications or system messaging. This would probably take too long to implement so I don't think we'll ever see it but it would improve the game immensely.
