So, you're overjoyed that Thorn is nerfed?
Perhaps you're happy Gally is nerfed so you will be included in more reindeer games?
Maybe, just maybe you resent that effective Icebreaker such you need it crippled for spite?
Point is, Destiny is few promises with even fewer rewards. Destiny is not creative or innovative. It doesn't roll out new weapons so powerful as to eclipse the old ones but it does buff the trash heap so we may regret sharding that Hard Light. It does nerf everything you worked for, breaking what little contract it had with you. They even trash that 'upgrade' your 50 material intensive reforges won you.
I'm reminded of that Pacino rant about God.
"I swear, for His own amusement, His own private cosmic gag reel, He sets the rules in opposition. It's the goof of all time. Look, but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste. Taste, don't swallow. Aha ha ha. And while you're jumpin' from one foot to the next, what is He doin'? He's laughin' His sick, f--kin' ass off".
This is not; despite Bungie's claims, an issue of balance which is, at best a distraction and a major reversal of an untenable philosophy: a progressive PvE experience CANNOT coexist with a balanced PvP one. This move is another in a long list of efforts by Bungie to move the bar, demand more effort (where & how they want it) and break another contract - without having to do (or deliver) a damn thing.
If you're happy about the '2.0' change then I'm happy for you.
I'm not happy for what you've created or the backs you took it off of to get it.
-----------------------------------------------
The Morning After Edit...
Thanks for the support and even the absurd debate. It appears there will be vendettas upsetting the 'new balance' and this fraud has made a few people leave the Tower, including Xur. Keep it up, bad press is the only thing that'll labotomize this 'philosophy'.
Cheers
The Evening After...
Xur's safety is apparently at risk if he delivers a weapon (somehow) and our new boy Cozmo has thus far responded to 3 whole forum postings. Definate proof they value our feedback enormously.
Final Edit....
Thanks for the support & debate, much of which was good. 1200+ comments (though suspiciously little trending - hmmmm).
Anyway, 2 to 1 are against (Nerfaggedon) and adamant and even those who are happy are split in confidence.

6 답변I mean if you enjoy gun encounters lasting 2 seconds in PVP you're a scrub. Everyone knows the best PVP is a PVP where you can't quickly kill someone in 2 shots. Look at CoD, that's why they're PVP has been crap lately, the TTK is way to short Thorn and TLW had the highest TTK of any weapon, they were waaaay to OP. They needed nerfing. It's called balancing dude And you're a moron if you deleted any exotics you don't have replicas of. I have at least 1 of every exotic because I know these updates always happen. It's not the first time Bungie has done this.

22 답변Oh, I get it. I also am fine with it. Does it really matter if they nerf it? Worst case scenario, people find other weapons to use and get the opportunity to enjoy different styles of weapon. Oh, thorn isn't as awesome as it was? Check out how scout rifles compare to hand cannons now. What's that? They're awesome? Now you can enjoy a new style of play? That's badass! Wait. What? You don't like how scouts handle? Trying PRs? They're fun? No? Sticking with handcannons because you prefer how they handle? You are still wrecking shop with them? That's great! At least you got to try something else! It's not that big of a deal, man. There will be some other shiny toy coming at some point. There's always a new toy in the works. Just breath and chill out. It's a game. If it stops being fun, just go play something else that you like better.

3 답변You people are -blam!-ing ridiculous. Why don't you toss out some illuminati conspiracies while you're at it? By your reckoning, Bungie seems to put an absurd amount of effort into not making any effort.

5 답변Nicely said, Michael. On the plus side, I was on the proverbial fence big time about whether to buy The Taken King and carry on into Year 2. Not any more. Bungie's made up my mind for me. :)

25 답변1) the retuning hasn't even happened yet. They didn't even go into specifics for some of their changes. How badly were Wolfpack Rounds nerfed? 10%? 25%? 50%? They don't say. Regardless, it will still be the highest single target burst damage in the game. 2) I love Gally. I love Icebreaker. I love Blackhammer. But, c'mon. These weapons are broken in half. They make every PvE encounter easier. I understand what some people are saying, specifically about people demanding more Gally users to make up for lost damage, but it can't go on this way. To up the difficulty of their PvE encounters, they'd either have to make the bosses even spongier to account for Gally, which really does punish the people who don't have one, or nerf Gally. They went the nerf option. Basically, I refuse to freak out about something that hasn't even happened yet. And people are acting like this will be the last weapon tuning patch. If Bungie over corrects, they can fix it again later. As for the weapon class nerfs, the only thing I worry about is the hand cannon mag reduction. It just seems unnecessary, especially with Scout Rifles getting yet another PvE damage boost. Does this include TLW, which only has 8 rounds to begin with? Also, doesn't this help any hand cannon with Luck in the Chamber/Final Round?

6 답변I can tell you exactly what happened. Every single person was underwhelmed with the HoW weapons, with a couple good ones in ToO. And bungie probably has a shit selection on the table for The Taken King. So they are nerfing our favorites to get us ready to move off into year two weapons. Instead of making kick ass weapons with useful perks, they are going to slowly make our guns worse. Oh wait, glad I saved the necrochasm.

12 답변all these changes are meant to keep people playing. they want those that dont have a gally to keep playing, those that dont have last word to keep playing. They just want the people that do not have these weapons to give up, throw in the towel. I see this as a ploy to keep people on, but also as a way to control the community, change the game because in reality it is stale. I pick up the game once a week, pop it in and after an hour or so end up turning it off as the repetiveness is so mind dumbing. But i cant stop feom coming onto the forums and seeing so many butt hurt. Come this fall you are going to only have two groups of players. Bargin bin players who held off playing. And the, all there is is destiny group that freaks out over someone not liking THEIR game. The test will be this fall. Will people play ttk or will they hold out for halo or cod. i personally will hold out for halo as warzone looks amazing.

5 답변Of course it isn't about "balance".....I agree. You don't care about balance, then make one launcher do double damage then give it tracking, so it almost never misses. You don't make one hc do massive damage.....then make it the only one that does dot. Really.......the weapons aren't balanced....wonder why. Then they actually have the nerve to blame the gjally nerf on players who want their team to have the obviously op weapons??

2 답변I'm very pleased with the change actually. The only thing that. It's me is Ice Breaker. I'll still use it, I'm just sad that it's getting an extra 3 second charge. In a game like this, that's a lot. But it's not enough to make me stop using it.

Personally, I think that bungie screwed their selfs with the "2.0 update". I believe this because 1) people are going to be mad and start telling others how bad this game got and will lose incoming money 2) loyal fans are going to quit because how much they have worked to get far and yet be treated like sh*t 3) in my opinion, i kind of like to grind and get that amazing weapon like everyone else had and feel so great and couldn't wait to use it but now they are debuffing the guns that were once a great pleasure to have and use. But, the one thing about the ghally debuff that would bring the community more close is that people will now not care if they have the ghally because some non-smart people think that its not very good. (example kids) But overall, I think that they have not listened to the community on this one and is going to pay if they keep their word to this. I hope that they will take all of our thoughts and concerns into ideas which will help bring people back to the game. Hope all you have a great day!! HawkCraft out! \ :D

6 답변I think there are 3 factors at work here (speculation) (1) Bungie are tired of us melting raid/ poe bosses with Gjallarhorn, Ice breaker, and Black hammer (2) Bungie are tired of nerf Thorn, Last word posts (3) Bungie have been testing Taken King weapons in house and realize that the weapons we already have are better

This game's PVE content is a joke if you are a decent gamer. And it's repetitiveness make it less appealing and more of a chore. For how much i love Destiny i'll be glad if they make things harder. TBH any1 that didnt think that Gjallahorn wasnt OP is either in denial or on drugs.

작성자: Blonded 7/17/2015 6:20:52 PMDestiny is a joke in both PvP and PvE I don't know why people still care. The netcode and basic mechanics are so horrendous it will never be a good game. Someone needs to bring out a competitive fun multiplayer game, with dedicated servers and a truly balanced PvP. This patch is long over due.

3 답변작성자: KerriKaoz 7/17/2015 6:00:31 PMWhat have I been smoking? Thorn is getting a net buff. The last word is getting nuked to oblivion. Am i reading this correctly?

I couldn't agree more. Bungie is effectively telling us that we need to play the game as they have envisioned it and that our personal preferences and play styles will not be tolerated. Continuing to take away the things we grind for to make the lesser weapons become more useful is just another slap on the face to the most loyal of players who have persevered to unlock the best items the game has to offer. We might as well avoid hard modes and end game content and just take the easy path if they are no longer going to make the reward worth the risk. So many opportunities to improve the game experience yet they continue to focus on detracting from the best things in the game to make the unappealing aspects seem more worth while. With each update Destiny becomes a lesser game in my opinion.

129 답변작성자: LilBlkCloud 7/17/2015 2:14:21 PMLol Nice one. "They're not just nerfing the weapons I love and rely upon, they're making the experience bad for YOU TOO!" Nope. No longer will people who don't use Thorn have to suffer this grossly overpowered gun. No longer will people without Gjallahorn have to suffer discrimination and exclusion. That's what matters. The rest is weapon balancing. All good things. You got what you deserved for relying on those two weapons and for being elitist pricks.
