No matter how many times they nerf guns and make them weaker, people will still find the next best thing out there that kills the fastest/most powerful, and everyone will use that gun. Crybabies will unite and complain till they nerf them again. Good players once again will find the best/strongest gun available after that, and will use it. Crybabies will complain, and the cycle will continue. I've never understood the need to nerf everything. If your getting killed by something, go get yourself one, of better yet, get skill to avoid it.
There no need for this endless cycle of nerfing and crying. Hey, here's an idea. "Go find a gun that works for your play style and go practice." Stop nerfing, stop crying, and go play. Bungie could make Thorn, Last Word, Red Death, Gally, all a worthless pile of junk. But guess what... The next Bungie bar graph out at that point showing the most used gun will be the next strongest gun/best gun after those got nerfed to nothing. Rinse and repeat.
Edit to add: I read an interesting thought from someone else about the big nerf patch. It basically said that Bungie thinks that if they weaken most guns, more people will run to buy TTK to get the next set of new better more powerful guns. Makes sense.

3 답변So the weapons I worked so hard for are pretty much crap like the rest. Great job...in screwing over the grinders! They need to show a scale on how many players they lose over the next few weeks. I will be one of those if the weapons don't produce

4 답변What would of solved all this, was if they just nerfed the weapons upon entry in crucible and left pve alone.

Your last edit is basically what's happening. They are not getting rid of old guns (which I believe was their original plan) due to player outrage at the mere thought of this. So they did next best thing and nerf year 1 guns so that people will be forced to use TTK weapons instead of our trusted Fatebringers, Icebreakers, Gjallahorns etc
-
The only way to make everyone happy is to make the TTK the same for each weapon class at their effective range. That way no matter if you using close, medium or long range weapons they will operate the same. I find it more frustrating that we need to make "hard choices" with our vault space and end up deleting less effective weapons. They will then end up more desirable and having to re-grind the same content to get them back. If Bungie will keep moving the goal posts then we should at least be able to keep the weapons we earn for changes in the future.

3 답변Yes indeed, please understand this is all marketing techniques taken from casino psychology. Don't think they care about complaints or requests, it's all to make new buyers legend quickly, cause they know that heavy addicts will anyway buy TTK, even if it means trashing everything they've done so far. Period.

3 답변Again if they just want you to buy the next best thing why didn't they do that with the dark below or house of wolves expansions all the new op stuff is still original destiny stuff (ghorn, thorn, last word, etc.) and I understand what you mean about the cycle, but they are trying to avoid that too, when there is a stand out best weapon like thorn everyone uses it, but bungie wants the decision of if a gun is the best to be ambiguous they want it to be subjective. That obiously is not easy and honestly even if you don't like the nerfs I think its nice that things will at least be a little different now it makes it fresh and not the same thing over and over, but hey that's just me.

4 답변I think they addressed it all nicely. If all the stuff in the update plays out like they say there may not be another weapon that's as OP as the ones that caused the shit storm.

9 답변With the weapon balance people could actually use more weapons outside exotic hand cannons. Stop being dumb, kid.

3 답변Seems Bungie just creates more or a different set if problems when they balance weapons. Auto rifles ruined after to big of a nerf. Pulse rifle I thought was buffed just a tad much. Now they will do this to some other weapon classes. I just feel that Bungie over adjusts when they do adjust base damage. Whether it is a nerf or a buff. I think the developers don't spend enough time playtesting the changes before deciding to implement them.

2 답변You've just described how balancing works in a game. It's not even an issue either. The strongest/most preferred weapons get to that stage for a reason; so they get scaled back and the developer couples that with exploring what they consider interesting options for the direction other less prevalent weapons can go based on their design principles. This in turn refreshes the meta of the game and leads to interesting and often unexpected results. TL;DR: shit just got interesting

7 답변작성자: WINTER PROPHET 7/17/2015 2:38:20 AMBlack hammer got nerfed cause the Devs were sore over it. No community were complaining about anybody using it. Anybody who thinks the PVE nerfs are community faults isn't thinking. The nerfs to the functionality of weapons nobody was complaining about was Bungie and it's Devs ruining the stuff to motivate people into buying TTK and it's new content. I guarantee Bungie and it's mindset is TTK gear and weapons will overshadow everything nerfed so people want to buy it.

Crucible was broken. The time to kill was way out of hand with TLW and Thorn and let's be honest, final rounders and Thorn users were ruining Trials. Smart move on Bungie's part to restore at least some semblance of balance.
