Bungie forgot how to balance weapons.
[b][i]To all the people complaining and still telling me I'm stupid or still agreeing with me, Im done with this post. I dont care about the topic anymore and I have a more important post that I'd rather have filling up my inbox instead of this post that all anyone does is rage and be toxic. Please don't bump this post anymore as I dont feel like reading things related to it anymore. Anyone who bumps it just to be a dick will be muted.[/i][/b]

[spoiler]Let me start off by saying that not only did they forget how to balance weapons, but they also forgot how to preserve some weapons' usefulness.
The ice breaker now takes 48 seconds to get 6 rounds. There is no purpose in using it. Shotguns have been nerfed beyong belief. The Last Word is useless at anything other than point blank hip fire. Thorn wont be able to hit anything in mid range due to the purposely added inaccuracy.
Basically, Bungie knew the weapons needed rebalancing, but they did it the wrong way. They made an MMO, there's bound to be overpowered weapons. They tried to make all the weapons viable for combat. Instead of making other weapons more powerful to be able to stand a chance against the others, they made any powerful weapon useless to match up with the less powerful guns. This isnt balancing, this is flatlining. There is no variety if all guns are even.
They tried to make it so we could use any gun we wanted to and have a fighting chance, instead they made all of our guns useless and now we can't use any of them.
Not to mention the wrecking of exotics. Nerfing Gjallarhorn and Ice Breaker? Last word? Thorn?
All other exotics are incoming, I'm sure.
For those saying its a good thing to flatline all the weapons, then dont have different categories. If youre going to give us guns that are difficult to get and are "exotic" then at least let them be more powerful than a rare.[/spoiler]

Once it goes live, all the kids that rely on blink shotgun and TLW's 0.4 second kill time from medium range not to mention Thorn's sniping ability are going to have a serious eye-opener. I can't wait. I'm hoping this will finally introduce a skill gap in the community, instead of the nonsense that is Crucible.

2 답변No they did not forget how to balance, just they do not ever have to balance in how YOU think is fair or correct. For YOU are not their boss and never were or ever had in true say in how the weapons of this or any other game of theirs has to be balanced. For the players do not decide what is fair, Bungie does.

The nerf to Ice breaker and blackhammer is sad. No need for it, how were they ruining pve encounters? Nerfing the range on ALL hand cannons again is worse. My fatebringer will suffer in pve because thorn and TLW needed pvp balancing. And gjallarhorn, which according to their own update was working as intended? Nerfed because a portion of the community is elitist assholes. Instead of making a new bounty that ended in gjallarhorn as the reward, or having xur sell it, they're Nerfing it. Why? Because they want people to have to continue to play for months and months to try to get it. But now the raid and exotic weapons really aren't special anymore. They can be replaced by any vendor weapon. Considering the only reason to play the same content over and over again is hopes of getting these awesome guns, I think this patch will be a big mistake. Much of the balancing was needed, but some of the changes will kill the game. Pve balance shouldn't suffer because pvp needs balancing or because a small portion of gamers are elitist.

11 답변True that....with thorn I could carry a 1.7 ish k/d but I didn't use it that much...this nerf will be a god send as a lot of people that look good will be shell shocked and some people that look bad will make a come up do to lack of cheap death

6 답변This is my perception of how this whole mess is playing out. Let's make exotic weapons so that they stand out above legendaries and the grind/bounties to obtain them is a worthwhile endeavor for players. We'll balance it by allowing only 1 exotic weapon to be equipped at a time. If they seem too weak or unattractive to use, then we'll buff them. Oh, now people are only using the best exotics for crucible, Iron Banner, raids and events so that they have the best chance to win or complete the challenge. Let's reduce their effectiveness so that they are only a bit better than the desirable legendaries. We don't really want them to stand out too much from the weapons everyone has. Well, are the exotic weapons or not? If so, let their power and benefits reflect this status.

1 답변What are you talking about? They didn't forget how to balance it's the exact same as the last balancing. It goes like this, people complain about one weapon and it's whole weapon class gets nerfed (suros and ar). It's funny they didn't learn a thing about the auto rifle Nerf cus their doing the same thing to hand cannons

1 답변Actually for pvp they forgot how to make truly different size maps where the same guns can't be used effectively every game. So many things they either forgot how to do or went the cheap way. 10/27!!!
