Let's nerf the best rocket in the game because other players don't have it
Title says it all. You little schoolgirls gotta bitch and moan about not having gally, so cry to bungie about ruining it for the people who do have it.
EDIT 1:
A lot of you guys are misunderstanding. I would prefer Xur sell it so everyone can buy it and not be rejected from playing Destiny over it being nerfed. It didn't need to be nerfed.

2 답변it was nerfed exactly because it was the best rocket in the game, it way outclassed any other heavy gun to the point groups required you to have it. Bungie doesn't want that, they want all guns same tier guns to be equal as possible for variety sake

I'll start by saying that I'm a gally owner, and I love it. However, too many people use it is a major crutch. I mean, I've already heard on here "beating skolas will taker foreverrrr." His hp is already pretty low, getting him down to the next wave spawn will take maybe 5-10 seconds more without a gally. My group usually runs with MIDA and hunger of crota on skolas because the MIDA can get you out of some sticky situations. Plus there are the idiots that say "must have gally for Atheon." Really?! Gally isn't even included on the best Atheon loadout IMO (VoC, BH, CM). So yeah, too many in the community think that they need it for EVERYTHING. Was this the right move? I'm not sure. I don't hate it. I hate the Black Hammer nerf way more because they destroyed what made that gun special. Without that perk, it's a barely useable gun. I'd much rather go with efrideets spear for the equal impact and higher mag size

Bungie gives not one -blam!- about your time or you as a player. Once you understand that simple fact everything else makes sense. This is a corporation that only cares about "SELLING" games. It's right in their mission statement. It's not about developing good games. It's about making money.

I'd imagine they are needing it due to it being too powerful, not that no one has it. Players want people with Gally because it destroys everything very fast. Making end game content very easy in some cases, needing Gally means end game content becomes abit harder, more people are able to access it too due to lack of "only Gally" restrictions

Yes, that's exactly why they are nerfing it. Did you not realize they nerfed the weapons that trivialize the PvE content as much as possible? Gjallahorn, shotguns, Icebreaker, Black Hammer...what do they all have in common?
