How come i have been playing a week and only heard one person talk, no one seems to be using a mic, anyone know why?

You have to change to team chat in game... For Crucible and strikes anyway. This is done at the respawn screen, in the option menu or pushing back button to go to orbit and pressing right > on the D-pad(directional pad, not thumbstick).

Only time I talk to randoms is if I'm stuck in a raid after a friend uses LFG to fill drop outs. Has been a good experience once. Worst was a raid where I was stuck with all randoms after a finish, before doing another. A fill in wanted to kick the 32 we had so his max 34 gally friend could join. I disagreed vehemently. His friend got in the party and made an ass of himself. The guy then tried to push me off the bridge section of Crota. Words ensued. Hate talking to randoms. Will only speak with clan and people friends know.

I've told this story a couple times but I will type it again. It was right after they added the fire team chat to the game. I decided to give it a try running strikes with randoms. We ran one together and decided to keep going cause we where working well together. We really didn't say much just called out a few things and a little small talk. After three or four strikes one guy said " hey I have to step away for a few minutes". The two of us that where still there said " No problem. We will start and just catch up when you get back. ". After a minute or two we heard the most disturbing noises coming from the afk guys mic. It got to the point that felt sorry for his toilet. Myself and the other guy just left the fire team and never spoke again. This is why I don't use the chat except when I am raiding or on with friends.

Your talking about pvp? And the random fire team chat feature? That's a feature that this community screamed for and now never use. Funny that. Playing basic crucible does not require communication with some random either. Only trials for pvp requires communication

They are putting out 2 maps both with an interesting story. The new characters and the old characters. The DLC's usually release 2 months apart. So one map drops with the game and another map a month later keep this cycle going and you don't have down periods like Destiny has now
