I recently played some VoG again to mess around and explore and noticed something interesting... Once you get to Atheon's throne room there are 2 Vex gates on each side, but each gate has different sets of vex guarding them. When fighting the Gatekeeper, the left portal has white tinted futuristic looking Vex while the right portal has brown old rusty looking ancient Vex. Once I thought about it, it made sense. If the timegates teleport you to different timelines, then the Mars portal must be in the future while the Venus one is in the past. This would also explain how you can obtain 2 relics when the lore of destiny states Kabr only created one Aegis shield. Do any of you guys think that there is any significance related to Mars being in the future while Venus is in the past? I was maybe thinking it had something to do with the VoG being on Venus and the Black Garden being on Mars. [spoiler]Or maybe i'm just overthinking this and it doesn't mean anything.[/spoiler]
