So what's the point of playing Destiny up until HoW?
If you're like me you probably have all the exotics you want or need.
You probably have the Triumph bullshit done, or close to it.
So unless you enjoy just playing PvP, what's the point in grinding to improve weapons that are worthless in the long run...
And let's face it, we aren't going to get more vault space so.....
Edit 1: Those that are worried, this isn't for sure yet. Those that don't fully understand, if it does go through our exotic weapons and armor will still ascend to the maximum level.
Edit 2: I would like them to add new weapons that replace our old ones by ten fold! They failed in every expansion this far in that department. I'm pretty sure most of us would agree that VoG weapons >
I would love to see more vault space though, making it possible to collect our old weapons to use them as trophies if nothing else.

1 답변Weapons I can manage, it's my armor I don't want to lose. Yes, vanity is my favorite sin. I like my guardians looking good. Appearance matters to me. It's just my opinion, it doesn't make it right, it just makes it mine. You don't have to agree, you just have to accept it. I have hated every hunter helmet that has ever come out until now. I'm not saying that I'm completely happy with the way all of my guardians look, but this is the closest to happiness I've been since the game was released. I've looked at that one hunter helmet from TTK, the one with three circles in a triangle shape, it looks stupid and hideous.

I completely agree, I've already customized my character the way I want it to look. Plus we all know bungie can't create good looking gear for shït. Going from using primaries with elements on them to using kinetic again in my opinion is the worst idea they ever had. They create this great new upgrade system for the house of wolves and decide to throw it all away in the new dlc. There really throwing all of the diversity in guardians out the window.

Odds are that exotics will ascend. While it makes me sad to dismantle the weapons and armor from year one grinding, I get it. They do need to rebalance the gear in general. The best stuff came out in the beginning and that might have been a lure to keep people playing at first, or a "Hey, here's a bunch of awesome stuff, have fun for a bit" moment. It's possible that they are going to overhaul the structure of our gear stats and how we interact with them. It could be that older gear is incompatible with the new wave of loot and systems used within them. Makes sense. They haven't fixed the armor leveling bug where it shows you can upgrade it and nothing is there. Perhaps it is fixed in the new system and just waiting to roll it out since the older gear will be obsolete. What does bother me is my time invested in obtaining and leveling said obsolete gear. I would enjoy a way to either imprint a new weapon with the stats/perks of all, or just a few, of my older weapons. There are some keepsakes in there I would miss considering how much time I've spent playing with those weapons. Hey, that's an idea, what if weapons you've spent a significant amount of time playing with transferred over? :)

So I expect to have to dismantle everything eventually to make way for better things; however, it will be upsetting if year 2 items and such are immediately usable. A minimum level (say 25-30: something easily achievable if you play year 1 content) should have to be reached first. Therefore forcing newcomers to play original content before jumping in and immediately skipping to new story line and gear.

9 답변What are you talking about? Why would you assume that we won't be able to ascend year 1 gear?

2 답변If Destiny is really going to make it 10 years, every 3-4 expansions it's going to have to completely start over. People were beating HoW in less than a day. If they just let you bring your old weapons, that would happen to every expansion they released. So they have to make your weapons and gear obsolete to keep you grinding for more.

3 답변People have been saying this and I cant understand why they would ascend old armor now, calling it a mistake to force you to throw out old armor and guns. Only to turn around and make you throw out twice as much old armor and guns.

작성자: COG81 J325 7/8/2015 4:58:39 PMmaybe it's ok with the weapons. some players still want to use their current weapons. though, some players prefer new ones. but for armor? i'd like to still use my armors until i see new that interests me. see my characters. i worked for their armor combinations at least they will look different aesthetically (i'm even using thrallskin brace for my warlock just to be a bit different from other warlocks). armor perks are cool but not too important for me. that's why no day-1 purchase of TTK for me. i will see if i can still use etheric lights or new ascendant material to upgrade my current armors. if no, then time to move on to another game.

2 답변What's the point of anything? You should just shut it down now and open the blinds and let the sun in cause it's all over. Goodbye cruel world(of Destiny). Time to take a leap off the tower and end it all
