WHAT BS! Anyone can be a Year 1 player, but DAY 1 Players SHOULD BE HONORED & YOU'RE NOT DOING THAT.
As with many players who bought Destiny the day it came out, and who have continued too play until now, where are OUR SPECIAL Rewards??
THOSE are the players WHO DESERVE THE SPECIAL REWARDS! And NOT anyone who buys both DLC buy August 15th, or whatever the date is. As you even stated, anyone that buys BOTH DLC's by August will be considered a YEAR 1 player. So they get rewarded for buying the game 10 MONTHS after it's release date.
How about rewarding ALL of us Guardians who have been playing since the day DESTINY was released?
Where are OUR special rewards?
Some of us have invested over 2000 HOURS(!) into Destiny. And some have played almost twice that much.
Rewarding players who FINALLY buy the DLC'S after all this time is one thing, but NOT REWARDING US DIE-HARD'S WHO CREATED THEIR CHARACTERS THE DAY OF RELEASE, WHO STILL PLAY FOR HOURS ON END, EVERY DAY, DESERVE SPECIAL RECOGNITION, AND KICK-AS REWARDS THAT NO ONE ELSE SHOULD GET!!
YOU ARE NOT DOING THAT, AND THAT IS BS.

Being a day 1 is no different than being a year 1. Some people might've picked up on day 2 of release....could you imagine the posts of day 1 players got all the recognition? Some people work etc and can't make it to the store to pick up a preorder the first day. Please stop being silly.

4 답변I think the "Year 1" gift is a banner? I've already got my "Day 1" banner. I've also got my "Beta tester" banner. I've got my "Completed the moon mission" on the Beta banner. I've got my "Killed Crota" banner, my "Too many Dead Orbit ranks" banner, a half dozen HoW banners I don't even remember the purpose of, even my "Sooo many motes of light" banner courtesy of The Speaker. I have, in short, a lot of banners. This latest banner? It's about persuading people who bought destiny, but have experienced only some of what the game has to offer, to try out the rest. Some players already have all the segments complete. Others have only played PvE. Some haven't completed a hard mode raid, or killed Skolas yet. This gives them an incentive to complete the content they already have before the new content comes out. It's likely to persuade people who have some obsessive completer tendencies to load up the game one more time, and maybe they'll spring for TTK if they've finished the rest of the content. I don't know why you are upset by the players who came to this fight late. I kinda enjoy seeing low-level guardians out & about, it happens so rarely these days. I try to help them complete Public Events, and point them at any golden chests or ghosts if I can still remember the locations. I suspect you do the same, tbh, despite your post! I'm guessing you are more sad not to have a cool piece of kit waiting for you yesterday than actually angry that "Year 1" gets something rather than "Day 1". Sure, the newbies skip a lot of the grind I went through, but the more players are here, the more money goes to Bungie/Activision, and hopefully the more they will spend on the next release. It's a win/win. If they can take on Atheon on Hard mode, in a 6 man team and try again and again, without throwing a tantrum until he falls, they are, in my opinion, my equal.

You did get it. There was a beta emblem then preorder emblems and items. Then there was the preorder DLC speeder. The peeps who didn't preorder who didn't beta test can't get these things. STFU you are a terrible person who has a ridiculously short memory and makes all us normal destiny players look like C*NTS.

It's not rocket science. Only thing I'm just a little salty about is the sign of the founders emblem looks kind of lame :\ but oh well I still wear it
