Bungie, Bungie, Bungie. Has it really gone this far?
So....with 100+ invested in a game...Bungie decides that on thier fan day...they will give you...
A emblem.
The only thing worse than this is...well nothing. It is one of the most useless items in the game.
Thier gift to you was a message to go back and grind out to earn those achievements so you can wear your proud badge.
Wow. They gave you nothing.

Lets see...what were thier options?
shader.
armor.
gun.
engram.
xp boost.
50% nerf to POE enemies for one day only.
And...well, ANYTHING else.
You guardians gotta understand the system that Bungie has built- its so entrenched that at this point, they cant be giving you guys stuff for free. No, no, thats not destiny...go make the story of how you earned it (aka blessed by the RNG). Thats the story they sold. Giving guardians gifts of appreciation would be a slippery slope for them. You get one thing free, you're gonna want more. Cant have that. It makes perfect sense.
Your gonna pay for every little damned thing...and you will love it. 20 dollar emotes and shaders...the community has been well trained to accept as little as possible.
The ramifications of Bungie's shell game will reverberate through all of gaming. IT was activision that 'nerfed' DLC content to the point where 3 maps (usually one was a facelift) cost gamers a cool 20. And they got away with it. Now we have gifts that are nothing more than photoshop graphics and a damn checklist.
This is what Bungie thinks of thier "community". The infamous interview was not a fluke. That's how they feel about you. FOR REAL. So now what?
Well, first, make sure you hit those checklist goals. i feel bad for my fellow gamers...but this is America...if the people are stupid or clueless,, dont help them...bleed them dry. By the time they notice, we will have either gotten away with the money or already switched to a new scheme.

4 답변I haven't read the comments but I'm 100% sure people are saying OP is a entitled (something negative) But I agree with OP mostly because I heard way back when, Bungie used to create playlists of PVP and play with their Community. Thus Added (even if temporary) content in the game. Just for fun. I don't see this here in Destiny. No matter how many times DeeJ put [community] in his weekly update I don't see how it's a community day at all. People like me already have the requirements and now we have to wait 3 months for the emblem. No problem. I just don't see how it's a Bungie Day event. If they made an Event. More than likely a PvP one just for the day or week with an Exclusive emblem/shader you had to earn that day/week then that's an event. This is just a checklist of what you've done from first year. A huge stamp on your forehead saying you fell for it. This game is kind of a scam compared to games like WoW (just a game everyone knows there are tons of other MMOs that are equally as better than Destiny) in terms of content and events. The only problem is that I am a Console Gamer and I wanted Destiny to be that game that I could be proud of playing.. I'm kind of ashamed to have played this whole year If It wasn't for the friends/clan I made that stuck it through (because all my home town friends sold this game, wouldn't have this bull crap) early on. Yes. We are entitled. Entitled to play a game that has a story. To have a balanced weapon system (plus RNG), Vault space and match making and everything we have been asking for since the start of the game. Why? Because we are players of the game. We know what will help make the game better and we are clearly asking for it every day. We payed more in one year to play destiny than WoW had in one year. And they don't have a "subscription" Yet I pay for PS Plus (Xbox gold) which I'll say it's the same thing because without it I can't play at all.

Shader? Gun? On previous Bungie days, they've given out maps! Hell, we didn't even only get an emblem this time... we didn't even get an emblem! We got a PROMISE of an emblem in the future! And we know how great Bungie is with delivering promised content.

1 답변Did you really expect something cool? I gave up hope for this first installment at level 26. Its not a bad game.....its just not a game for me. I bought it because Bungie has provided solid games prior to this and I though they could not fail me.

4 답변Um, I'm a year one player but I didn't get suckered into the 'expansions' like everyone else therefore I'm not eligible for this extra stuff? Some of those achievements are expansion based so I guess I won't be getting them.

14 답변You have to be the biggest brat on the forums. The emblem wasn't supposed to be a participation stamp. You're supposed to earn it by COMPLETING year one main events! This entitlement phase of the community needs to stop. It's honestly really sad to hear people scream and kick thinking they'll get whatever they want. You'll get your Year One Emblem, SHADER and SPARROW once the Taken King comes out. Quit complaining already!

What I wish we'd received: A token that would allow each Year-1 player to ascend one Legendary weapon to max levels for the life of the franchise. This wish assumes that we will not be able to ascend Legendary weapons past TTK, which has been widely speculated.

1 답변I would have liked a ghost shell, it didnt even have to be a "special" one! One of the ones that the special requisitions lady has sitting right there on the counter......

2 답변Just what I need, another emblem to try to decide if I keep it or delete it since my vault and three characters can not hold all of the emblems I have already earned throughout the game. Hey Bungie, here is an idea, why not give every first year player a special Year 1 vault so that we can actually keep things that we earned in our first year to help us remember the great times we had grinding through all of the missions over and over and over again in the desperate hope to getting something we actually wanted from the RNG drops.

8 답변Indeed. The biggest issue with all of this, and the one thing that all the fanboys still don't seem to understand, is that because of all this crap with the pricing and selling people so little in exchange for big bucks? Its going to be a sign to future installments for this series, as well as other AAA games that this is ok. That this is the new "price point" that companies can sell their titles and content for. That they no longer need to give you an awarding experience. They have used COD to cultivate an entire generation of new age gamers that are conditioned to tolerate such ridiculous practice, and act as if being given the opportunity to spend another $20 on a few measly cosmetic items is the company doing them some kind of huge favor. I mean, its a logic fail considering $20 paid for a raid, new weapons and armor and at least something resembling new content for the game itself. Now I guess $20 is the value of a simple emblem, shader, a re-skin of the exact same -blam!-ing vehicle you and everyone else already have, a few more emotes which should've been included for free for everyone and three exotic class items which still ultimately serve no real purpose in the game.

3 답변Come on Bungie. Even Infinity Ward's COD: Ghosts is making you and Destiny look like the Smerfs of the gaming industry. It's time you git gud with your own game.

1 답변I really have no reason to do end game content more then once. nor do I have any reason or desire to do hard raid. I did try both once, but each group was about clueless. Not to mention the rewards for doing said content are massively lackluster and will become obsolete with TTK or soon there after.

3 답변Lol at emblem. If there wasn't such a retarded lack of decent FPS games on xbone this game wouldn't exist.
-
27 답변What I find interesting is that bungie says 80 percent of the player base doesn't do end game content Bungie decides to make an emblem to say thank you to year one players But you have to do end game content to get the thank you emblem Bungie gives big middle finger to 80 percent of day one players lol

2 답변I agree, what happens if a low level can't do skolas, or something else as activities to get the emblem?

1 답변Unbelievable ...... Another hit in the community face. Hopefully in 1 or 2 years we can hit them back and see the game Bungie is bankrupt.
