This emblem has every high level PVE completion:
- Atheon
- Crota
- Skolas
But not the highest PVP completion??
Little disappointed that it is belittling the PVP accomplishment. Skolas is a pretty hard battle for players who play the game mostly for PVP. Lots of players still haven't killed Skolas or even raided for that matter.
Not trying to start an argument here, but doesn't the Lighthouse seem logical on a completionist checklist?
What are your thoughts on this?
Edit: Or at least completing a trials card with 9 wins
Edit: Apparently, in the words of people who haven't been to the lighthouse, everyone who has been to the lighthouse and plays Trials every week is a lagswitcher and a cheater. It has nothing to do with their skill. It is actually an elaborate scheme by Edward Snowden to keep them out of the Lighthouse.
Edit: Surprisingly unlike most forum posts this has been mostly a good community discussion. I'm changing my opinion based on reasonable people here that the requirement should be 7-9 Trials wins and rank 5 in Iron Banner.

1 답변That's not achievable by most year one players and wouldn't represent the community. I have been to the lighthouse once so it wouldn't affect me either way but I think the intent is to have most of the year one community included. I do think that pvp players should have a separate year one emblem that requires flawless. I also think year one pve players should have a year one emblem that requires flawless raider on both raids. I probably wouldn't be able (or have interest in trying) to get either but they should put them in and give some motivation to a somewhat stagnant community.

No because that reduces the mark of triumph to nothing more than an alternate skin for the trials emblem. Everbody who has the trials emblem would have almost had the triumph completed the moment it was released. I think its fine the way it is. It doesnt really matter.

3 답변I think I could pull off 7-9 wins in trials of I tried. I can't do skolas because I never have a that much time

It is about the standardization of the challenge. Crucible matches are a crapshoot in the skill of the players that you will be facing. I have played matches in trials where my team gets completely smashed, and I have played matches where I have done the same to others. I've participated in ToO for 2 weeks and the time I went to the Lighthouse my team bulldozed everybody we faced. You just never know what you are going to face. PvE on the other hand presents the same level of challenge every single time. It is a clear obstacle for people to overcome. Nothing qualitative about it. It is just different. Besides, if they added a major PvP component PvE only players would throw a fit, and let's face it, they out number us. The game is PvE first.

11 답변Actually, the PvE equivalent of the lighthouse is flawless raider, which isn't on the list

Disagree, simply because nearly everyone can complete the PVE aspect of this. Not everyone is skilled enough or is able to go flawless, the idea of having 9 wins on one card is slightly better but why not have let's say, 100 wins in TOO that way at least people might find that achievable

2 답변I understand the want from those that enjoy PvP more so than PvE, but here we are. I'm one of those that isn't good at playing elimination. I would rather do control. But that's the stipulation with the trials. But think of it this way, the trials exist for those that want a competitive challenge. The raids and prison exist for those that want the teamwork aspect without PvP. You don't like that there isn't a harder PvP portion to the moments of triumph requirements, and I would be seething if going flawless were a requirement. But right now we have what we have. But, to make it balanced for every side of the fence, it would be great if there were two or three of these moments of triumph: one for PvE for those like me, one for PvP for those like you, and one for that has requirements for both PvE/PvP. You get an exclusive emblem, I get an exclusive emblem, and for those that are exceptional they can get both.
Skolas is a pretty hard battle for those who play mostly for PvP.
Actually I'd beg to differ. In my experience with games that offer both pve AND pvp I've found that good pvp players (98% of the time) are also good pve players. Having to consistently guess how an actual player and adapt to them is much harder than doing it with AI. Pvp players also have a tendency to be more aware of waits going on in terms of them taking damage and how to avoid it. However it does not go both ways: pve mostly players are garbage at pvp. This goes for players who either don't do any pvp or very very little. Of course they can learn but 9/10 times a pvp player will do far better in pve for the first than a pve player doing pvp for the first time.
