Does God Exist?

8 답변The definition of god is ever-changing. Any argument put forth against the notion of god can be easily sidestepped, and constantly is by apologetics. I believe it was Freud who said, people will stop believing in god when they no longer fear death. And sadly that day will never come. But, if you want a decent argument for my stance, here we go. Woman and child walk down the street. Mugger appears, strikes the woman down, child cowers in fear, and the mugger is left to enact his twisted will upon these two victims. God, an always present being, watches. Supposedly he cannot interfere with free will. But his inaction takes away the free will of these poor victims left to die. So god is favoring the muggers free will. God, if he truly exists, favors evil. Now you might say, but that mugger will burn for an eternity, surely that shows God's true moral justice? No. That will not undo the pain caused. Burning for an eternity only teaches someone pain. Not why what they did was wrong. The inconsistency of the all loving, all powerful god concept is exactly what led to my atheism. No preconceived notions, indoctrination, or social bias made my mind for me. Can you theists HONESTLY claim the same? Not that I don't respect you.

I'm sure there's something out there however who's to say God is right it could just as easily be Buddha or Allah or some other deity. Based on geography if I die believing in Buddha and have never met a Christian b4... If I die and God is up there will I go to hell for not believing and vice versa? I think about this kinda shit a lot😂😂

I know he exist I just don't know if he loves me anymore after all I've done in 12 years and no it's not no minor sin I keep thinking that I keep doing deals with the "evil" but then I realize that I haven't but the mental damage is already done and has drove me to a point on giving up on life.

If God loves everyone and we're all his children then why does he sit by and watch 11 [i]million[/i] people (1.1 million of those were children) get slaughtered by the Naz[i]i[/i]s? A believer would say "it's the Devils work" and that he's influencing the minds of mortals (in this example the N[i]a[/i]zis) but personally that doesn't prove much in my view. If God loves us why would he let it happen? Freewill huh? God is omnipotent (all powerful) so personally I think that he should be able to let everyone be happy and just stop all the 'eating the forbidden fruit and sinning n' all that' without messing around with free will. Not being a hippy or anything but can't we all just get along? But, no one knows if there is a god or if their isn't, it's all a matter of beliefs, so let me ask you this. Would you rather live your life believing in a god to find out their isn't one, or spend your whole life not believing in a god to find out their is one?
