Thorn haters READ THIS
If your getting all butt hurt over thorn and its burn then think outside the box. If you can't beat them at their own game (like me) adapt. Red death is detrimental to the thorn play style. Thorn burn becomes irrelevant. If not, get the close range game and bring it to them, the fire rate well be their down fall. Stop whining and waiting for a nerf handout and just play. Adapt, learn, become better, and grow a pair.
Ok, BIG misunderstanding here. I'm not a thorn promoter, I'm not a thorn hater. I'm a neutral party passing on a piece of advice to people trying to beat thorn. ONLY because it's one of if not THE most controversial gun.
Edit: I'm not saying red death is the only option to come back with. It's just one of many.

It doesnt matter that some people claim that they "own" thorn users with their red deaths and midas, that just means that the thorn users dont know wtf they're doing. If the same players had been able to go up against themselves, where one version of them used thorn and the other RD or Midi the thorn version would win every time. The only weapon that somewhat stands a chance, all other things being equal, is TLW but it's in a very narrow range window that can be mitigated by one of the many long range shotties in this game. And I'm well aware that people like shesmynerd absolutely destroy with TLW against Thorn users but that's because he is so much better than them at foremost utilizing the maps. So it's not duels he's winning here, he's winning because how he approach his enemies. infact, there are no duels or gunfights in destiny anymore because the kill times are so low that it's down to who sees who first. Saying that you need to be ten times better than the enemies to be able to counter a certain weapon is not a valid argument.

It's the fact that you can shoot a bullet into my toe and bring me down to a bit below red. It's the fact that you can spam shots into people and have the blessing of every good perk. High RoF? Check. High range? Check. Perk for higher range? Check. High impact? Check. Damage over time the [i]only[/i] gun that has that? Check. Lower stability but don't worry there's a perk for it. Your gun lacks nothing on the statistical sheet and that's where the problem resonates. You have a gun that has over penetrates and does DoT how balanced is that? I'll tell you: it's [i]not[/i]. Your gun isn't based around skill it's based around a perk based killing system that promotes bad play over skillful play. So no it's not dying to your gun that pisses us off its dying to bullshit like killing a thorn user and dying to the poison after, getting killed by the burn effect alone, or being staggered while sniping a thorn user on the other side of the map. Your gun is over powered now stop defending it.

1 답변I've been saying this forever. It's not the gun it's the user. Hawkmoon and Red Death are my main pvp guns and I never have a problem going toe to toe with Thorne. You just have to make smart plays and have good aim. I will say I wish their was more diversity in crucible, it gets boring seeing the same few weapons and really boring when all you see is Thorne everywhere. Bungie released statistics saying that 50% of ToO kills were by a Thorne. That's insane! I don't care if it gets nerfed or not because I have no problem fighting against it but I do feel like it's a crutch weapon for a lot of players. There are many really good players who use it so don't think I'm saying all Thorne users aren't good I'm just saying that I bet if Thorne got nerfed you'd see a lot of the teams in ToO lose a lot more. Again I'm not whining I'm actually tired of seeing people constantly complaining about nerfing everything. Some people just won't be happy until we're left with a couple of sticks and water guns to fight each other with.

2 답변Destiny is a game full of fun weapons to use. People should be able chose a weapon based on what fits their play style and personal preference. People should not be forced to pick their weapon best on how well it counters one weapon in the game.

Thorn is broken right now, and is the most op gun in the game. With people glitching it, it made trials unplayable this week. Sorry dude, but if you know how to glitch it then you know how broken it is. It should have its magazine and dot put back the way they were.

6 답변I find that the NL Shadow 701X is amazing for taking thorns down, acts like a pre-patch Suros with the hip fire style fire rate. [spoiler]i have full auto, high caliber rounds(to make sure that you can't hit me :P), and third eye, I always see you coming. [/spoiler]
