this game needs matchmaking for everything because it's a pain to even get a game going , one has to waste countless hours with various forums spamming , discrimination based on gear/grimoire/light levels is strong in the community , not even speaking about people who kick others right before the rewards
SOLUTION: add matchmaking as a option
HOW? : simply add it into the game settings to turn matchmaking ON/OFF. if there is a pretty useless option to wear a helmet in the tower there , why isnt a matchmaking option available for those who need it ?
i had to add over 500 random people to my friendlist which i mostly met during the initial game where i added em only and never saw em again, for each person i added i had to spend between 5-30 minutes forums spamming and waiting , if i take a generous average of 10 minutes per player im at 83 wasted hours only to overcome bad game design in terms of matchmaking and thats a joke considering the game had a 500M $ budget
feel free to share your comments :D

here's my experience with this current "brilliant" destiny matchmaking.
1.) start destiny
2.) decide to play something that doesnt have matchmaking
3.) look at my friendlist which has always about 100+ players online but i lost track who they are since i only added em for one game and they busy doing their own stuff
4.) go away from console to my laptop and spam forum threads , one post isnt enough because it gets lost after a minute in the depths of the thread
5.) go back to console to see if there are any friend requests
6.) if no friend requests , repeat steps 4 + 5
7.) if someone responds by just providing a nickname i have to write it down as its hard to memorize nicnames such as xxxSup3rPlayya5678xxx , the go back to enter it into my ps4 and send a friend request (often they already are in the game with another party by the time or not accepting my add because they already play)
8.) after 5-30 minutes depending on the luck i get enough friend requests , sometimes even more than is needed for the game , then i have to decide who to leave out which sucks for me as i hate doing that
9.) while playing with those random people i keep getting more firend requests for my old post from 30 minutes ago which i have to ignore , i hate doing that

Optional Matchmaking alternative:
1.) start destiny
2.) decide to play something , press matchmaking
3.) play with randoms

7 답변Yeah, it's ridiculous. My Hunter is still 296 and can't find anyone to do a normal raid with. Haven't even attempted it. Everyone requires ridiculous stuff already even for normal raid.

2 답변Gantz, I know you've been here since the beginning. I've seen your posts multiple times about matchmaking. Hell I even know that you've switched clans at least twice. You've been here as long as I have, probably added just as many 'friends' as I have, my question is still the same one I ask every time I see your threads... How do you still not have a regular group to game with?! If you've been here this long and been in this many groups/clans/fireteams and still haven't made any friends to play with on a regular by now than you need to work on your social skills and stop blaming Bungie for your own shortcomings. Come on man, we're a year into this game, there's no reason why you couldn't have made at least two friends by now To be clear, I agree that OPTIONAL matchmaking should be added but based off how Bungie handled the weekly heroics I'd rather them leave the game as is, as opposed to forced matchmaking

3 답변Not straight up matchmaking but at least some kind of in game lfg where you can create and join game lobbies. There would be an option to create a lobby or browse existing ones (obviously organized by what activity you want) you would sit in the lobby while you waited for it to fill so you could talk on mic, inspect each other, make sure its a good team, whoever created the lobby could kick people, set requirements to join etc. How there isn't something like this in the game already baffles me.

2 답변How about give the option of matchmaking. I mean I can see both sides of the argument. Yes: 1) Everyone can experience a raid 2) Quick and easy 3) Find new friends 4) Get more experience on what to do so you can do better the next time No: 1)Noobs who don't want to listen will prevent you from completing the activity 2) AFK'ers get the loot for free 3) People who quit early, make you wait a while to complete activity. It takes a while because you have to wait for matchmaking to bring someone in. ( this is a problem for new players, since people who have done raids can manage 5-4 manning)

1 답변They already have matchmaking for everything needed. Sure, Nightfalls shiuld have it since you aren't kicked to orbit upon failing anymore. Raids, no, never. Yes, the lfg is a form of matchmaking, but with that you can pick and choose who you want to play with, and you have a better chance of them actually playing, instead of AFKing.
