In your attempt to make a usually fun and rewarding boss a bit more challenging, all you did was make a boss that is just very hard, takes too long, unfair, and not fun at all. All you guys succeeded in doing is making a mission that no one want to do. Before the update my friends would always want to do Skolas, but now they don't even talk about wanting to do it. I don't know why you guys decided to change the burns but it wasn't great. Lowering his health doesn't even compensate for the lack of burn because it still takes excess of 30 minutes to kill him. Another factor that makes this hard is the sheer amounts of ads that spawn. The ad count is ridiculous beyond belief. Please change it back. If you wants to make him challenging just keep the burn and raise his health but not o a point where people are forced to shoot at him for hours to kill him. If you don't want to put the burns back on at least lower his health more or lower the amounts of ads that spawn.
Edit 1: ok I get it you guys think it's fun.....but it's still gonna need some warming up on me before I can truly enjoy it.
Edit 2: There's no point in doing it after you get all the exotic bounties. Maybe to get the elemental primaries but that's about it.

6 답변Servitor bonds break at 75% health, adds spawn, kill adds then hit skolas. 50% health adds spawn and mines spawn, poison spawns, pass poison around between players, dismantle mines and kill adds, then hit skolas. 25% health adds spawn and mines spawn, pass poison around between players, dismantle mines, kill adds, then hit skolas. As you can see the fight with skolas isn't hard if you know how the mechanics work. All it takes is a good strategy and a good team to take him down. Also communication is key.

It always took forever for my group with the burns enabled (well besides solar/Gally week). For some reason we could never get the timing down. Arc was a 3 hour nightmare. Did it last night for the first time without the burns and it took 25 minutes on the first try. I thought it was fun. Keys are wiping out the adds after they spawn in, good rotation, and communication. The final boss of a raid replacement shouldn't take 30 seconds to beat. I find the change pretty reasonable.

"Takes in excess of 30 minutes" Sounds like a PSA for ADD. You weren't there for VoG in the beginning, were you? Each area took "in excess of 30 minutes" because nobody had a clue and there are no burns or modifiers. Hell, we didn't even have great weapons or gear.

Skolas is a different fight, yes. But it still is very enjoyable IF you do the encounter correctly. Instead of focusing on killing Skolas, everything needs to be handled as waves. Here's what my Fireteam does: Part 1: Initial Burn on Skolas with primary, secondary, and heavy ordinances. Part 2: Focus on minions. Kill them all. Part 3: Focus on Skolas. Get him to Phase 2 aka Taint Guardians Light. Part 4: Repeat Parts 1-2. Part 5: Profit and Lootz. I hope this helps anyone who is struggling with the Skolas encounter. If you need any clarification just ask, I'll try to respond.

take out adds..use black hammer or icebreaker on skolas until more adds..kill adds...use gally when the first round of mines comes up and he should die, then go disarm the mines with nothing trying to hurt you..too easy privates..

5 답변Lol they took away the burns to make it EASIER even though it isn't, they really screwed up, AGAIN.

With the right team, and a lil strategy you can take down Skolas crazy easily. Just make sure you have a decent hunter with you for mines. If you communicate well you can take him out before you're done with the second mine wave. And don't forget to thin the add herds. This week was especially easy with brawler on.

interestingly enough: i am not sure if this is just a tinfoil hat theory, but yesterday my group all wore kellbreaker emblems, queen's web shaders, and various how class items. result: when we killed skolas, we all received wolves leash II with different burns and different perks respectively. mine was arc with doug, another was solar with skank, and the third was void with fallen. coincidence? could be. more testing is required.

3 답변My group beat him first try in like 25 min with two of us being first timers. Maybe I'm crazy but I thought it was pretty damn easy

1 답변Skolas is not that hard and the battle is better with the different modifiers. You need to focus on ads. Thin them out, move often, then focus on skolas.

7 답변You also got to remember Poe replaces a raid and raids take time too nothing the the game is supposed to be easy except the story plot or lack there of

3 답변작성자: T Moneyzz 6/29/2015 2:46:41 PMI like how Bungie said they were removing burns "because of players getting BS'ed by one hit kill stuff" and then proceeded to add Lightswitch. Fuck right off. At least burns gave us a boost too. Also, don't bother going for any elemental primaries. Just use the etheric light you get to ascend VoG or maybe CE weapons. At least those don't have a perk slot wasted on Dreg Burn. Once you have the exotics and shader, why bother?

4 답변I'm OK with the fight. What I'm not OK with is spending close to 90 minutes dealing with this bullshit and not getting a single primary for any team member. People cheat their way through ToO and are guaranteed one. Why can't PvE players be guaranteed an elemental primary at the end of the hardest PvE activity?

5 답변The ads should be released based on health not a timer. Like every quarter or so. You have almost no time to shoot at the boss while running from sword captains with lightswitch active.

5 답변you just need to learn the mechanics and master the fight. the VoG took sumin like 12 or 14 hours for the first group to beat. before crota dropped my group would get 3 wins in under an hour. this wont be much different. spawn in lik the adds, burn crota to jsut above half, kill adds. trigger mines, do mines kill adds. burn crota to trigger mines again do mines kill adds. burn crota again, should be maybe a 30-40 min fight once its mastered. maybe less.
