I just wanted to have my own say on Bungie's solution to the Luke Smith debacle. Bungie- thanks for listening to us. I appreciate the sentiment expressed in your response in the update and am glad that I no longer have to re-buy the entire game for the exclusive items.
With the situation resolved, I am now looking forward to TTK- just because I liked the sense of scale and new improvements as shown in the E3 trailer. I'll still be the playing ESO until the launch, but I might return and try it out.
Also, to the rest of the forum posters still angry about having to buy the shaders/emotes, why are you angry? Bungie listened to us. We wanted an option to get the shaders/emotes without having to re-buy the entire game. They gave it to us. We are already getting exclusives for being Year One players, why do we have to get these as well for free? You guys are not entitled to everything...

3 답변The 9 items going for $20 dollars has me thinking Bungie has went full retard.. This is basically a huge bundle of microtransactions.. At most this bundle should be 5 bucks. Throw in the taken king physical stuff like the strange coin and other items is the only way to justify the $60 price tag on this dlc content. It's a damn expansion. I'm really concerned for the longevity of this game now.. Bungie fix this.. Don't go full retard.

1 답변I don't know if you comprehended the whole beef of the argument. Players who stuck with this game shouldn't have to pay for something that is given away to newer players, period. Now it's $20, whoop-de-do! Players have to still pay for BS exclusive content, regardless. Veterans are still treated like 2nd class citizens or domesticated money cattle. How does an apology and a price fix change this? I noticed a litany of, "I accept Bungie's apology post," today, makes me wonder if these comments are generated disinformation authored by Bungie employees.

Yes they did listen to us. Now we can make an informed decision as to purchase or not. If the extra content sucks then hurray I saved money. If it doesn't I can purchase without shelling out for the whole game again. I can't wait file week one. Next complaint is when people realize that the extra stuff isn't worth it. Priceless.

Why do people keep saying they HAVE to pay for content that new players are getting for FREE? 1 NO ONE said you have to buy it. Clearly you want it but don't want to have to pay for it. Don't want to pay, don't buy it 2 The collectors edition is $80 dollars, it is not free. Yes a year ago the game cost $60 dollar. The game is now a year old. Yes we paid $20 per expansion, but in reality we didn't get as much content as what TTK is supposed to bring. I feel like we paid $40 for a second raid (crota end) and prision of elders. HoW didn't tell any better a story than TDB did and they pretty much recycled old areas and put a new skin on weapons and enemies. If TTK brings a new raid, new playable areas, new enemies then it is pretty much like a combination of TDB and HoW in my eyes. Or like a new game, which normally cost $60. PoE doesn't really compete with the strikes, in my mind. it really is just go about shooting up enemies with 2 friends. I'm hoping this new raid is as detailed as VOG. I find it hard to believe people are so upset about content that had no baring on game play at all. I will wait and have hope that bungie is learning and that TTK will be an amazing new edition to destiny.

To anyone who still feels the need to butch about it, read this: https://youtu.be/MkIVjENYPlw The link that is in this topic is centered towards those who feel the need to continue to bi*ch and complain about the $20 CE extra reward perks. If you don't like it, don't buy it. What Bungie is doing, is adding micro-transactions. Many games have this already, like Datto says in the video, World of Warcraft offers a mount for $25, League of Legends offers skins for $10-$15, and Hearthstone offers new characters that really make no difference for $10. You need to realize that you don't have to buy this stuff. Bungie has been given a lot of heat as of late due to these recent events and they're trying to fix things. I will admit I too was annoyed and mad and was a little hot headed with what I saw and even got pissed and called Bungie out. But now I realize it's just like every other game. I see the error in my ways. It may not make the biggest difference but they have those players who will buy It because they love the game wholeheartedly and want to be a major part of the game and they can then be able to say I have the VIP and CE content. Those players are the commited fans and you can call me whatever you want, you can say I'm just another player who is brainwashed by corporate greed but I am just trying to let people know that every game does this, and Bungie isn't the first nor the last company to do micro-transactions. But I will say this as I did trash at Bungie earlier in the week that I am sorry to have done so and that they are just like any other gaming company. There is nothing here that makes them worse, and they are trying to fix their mistakes and I hope that you guys see this, as there are hopefully many more who see it my way and understand. Thanks for your time and keep hunting Guardians! Your friend and fellow Guardian, A_Terrorist98

2 답변Bump Agreed. Bungie at least addressed the issue directly. Show me any other developer that does that these days. Too many complainers on here as well. 20 bucks ain't so bad. Especially when you look at the hours to dollars ratio that most day one players have.

4 답변The pricing for the upgrade is unjustified. Bungie is asking us to pay the same amount of money new players must pay to upgrade to the physical Legendary Edition, which has twice the amount of content compared to digital upgrade Bungie is offering veterans. If Bungie lowered the upgrade price to $10 instead of 20, then it'd be a fair deal.

6 답변A reasonable option would have been $5, $10 tops. Why? $60 equals cost of original game. The comparison sucks horse hose.

1 답변I'm with you. I also accept their apology. A little forgiveness on our part is only fair. Especially since fairness is one of the things we've lobbied for.

2 답변I agree. My biggest issue is now resolved and I am looking forward to purchase The Taken King DLC. As for the price of twenty dollars. Sure, I'll pay that amount. Bungie listened, Luke Smith apologized (apparently he's like that, a little rough with the humor I mean) and I'm getting a DLC package that I with what I wanted below 80$. All of it sounds good to me. So, thank you Bungie. What I don't understand is all of the anger and backlash. People demanding free content solely because they have been playing since Destiny launched. Bungie has made a product and set a price, if people want the product they can pay the cost for it. Good post.
