So Luke Smith (Lead designer) basically said that Bungie know's it's screwing over the fans/current players and that they're perfectly fine with doing so. (Original article: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-06-22-destiny-the-taken-king-director-defends-40-expansion-price-tag
Does that change your mind about buying TTK? Comment below.
38% of players are pre-ordering digital content (admittedly, I don't know why you'd pre-order unlimited digital content)
31% of players are waiting for reviews so they don't get screwed over again.
31% of players are done with Destiny.
I felt compelled to point out that games like Skyrim give you easily ten times the content for a $30 expansion, $10 less than the base TTK price.
DeeJ: Simple question for you; come September 15th 2015 are you reducing Destiny's DLC on XBL/PSN to the $5-$10 range and the base Destiny game down to $10? If not you are forcing some day one players to buy TDB and/or HoW for $20-$35/$40 and then charging them $40 additionally for TTK. This is my major issue. It's price gouging. I'd appreciate it if you or someone at Bungie would settle this issue.
Either set TTK to $20 or reduce the price of the pre-existing DLC.
Additional info in! Someone has unearthed E3 video footage from 2013 when Destiny was first revealed. (https://youtu.be/uHhR3kkf1uQ) Watch it yet? If not you really should since it shows the 3 "new" emotes (clap was confirmed in Luke Smith interview). E3 2013 people! This was even more content ripped out of vanilla Destiny to be sold off as DLC but this time it's behind a $40 premium edition paywall.
Disclaimer: Any money thrown at the screen will be donated to starving children in a third world nation.
Additional info per weekly update: Bungie is selling the digital goods from the collector's edition for $20 USD. That's the same price increase for the disc version of vanilla to Collector's Edition but doesn't come with the physical items (worth much more than some token emotes, shaders, and class items) that new players get for the same price increase. Thoughts?

8 답변OMG get a real life. It's a game, don't like it. Don't buy it. This guy is fine, and Bungie is fine. People complaining really are cry babies! Don't like it just leave and you don't have to feel the negativity. And you won't be that guy that people don't like around cuz all you are is negative.

I did a poll of the entire internet yesterday, and the results were that 99% of Destiny players are going to buy TTK. You and most everyone else are blowing the whole thing waaaaay out of proportion. He did not say or imply anything that you mentioned in your OP. Sure he came off a little douchey, but nowhere close to the overreaction that has happened.

6 답변작성자: supytalp63 6/23/2015 9:17:19 PMIt's not a 'rebuy'. It's bundled content to draw in new players. If the first year's worth of content wasn't included for that $80 would people still be claiming some sort of injustice is being done?

6 답변Well, still a big hit nonetheless Before the Luke Smith interview polls were finding that 80% of players were buying ttk Now almost 1/2 of the player base has decided not to buy it So Bungie just lost out on 62.5% of their profits Congrats Luke Smith

2 답변Who shot JFK? Who was really behind 9/11? Who let one rip in the elevator? Who designed a ten year game and didn't give us all ten years worth of content for $60? I feel this is a mysyery for Scooby Doo, don't you?

25 답변People saying "it's just $40" are missing the point. This type of cash grab sets a bad precedent that other companies will begin to emulate. I - along with many others - thought that the success of The Witcher may reverse this trend, however, that does not seem to be the case. My bet is over the next 4/5 years most games will rely on casino style tactics to increase play time and continue to cut content to repackage as DLC. This is bad for consumers.

I don't think people understand, this really is a complete rip off for those of us who bought the base game and the season pass, or special editions. Remember when apple released the first iPhone, then the price dropped drastically the next month, and people lashed back so hard they gave partial refunds? Such an event may be in order for this. Not in the form of a refund, but in the form of a discount on the next dlc.

7 답변Luke smith didn't confirm a clap as an emote...nor is it confirmed that pre launch (a YEAR before the game came out) footage is what's coming out with TTK. You can't make wild assumptions like that.
